And there it was...

Eunbi didn't think it was possible for her heart to beat at such incomprehensible speed. She didn't think it was possible for her head to fall in more of a haze... and no doubt, she definitely wasn't expecting Sojung to say something like that...

Like...

It seriously hit her like a truck.

The blonde looked up with her overwhelming need of assurance... looked up to just see if the woman's words held any form of sincerity... if there was any at all...

An yet... the moment she did so... it was as if all her doubt melt away like ice on a hot summer's day, leaving only a bloom of gold as her eyes locked with Sojung's.

For a moment, it felt like time had stopped and everything around them just disappeared into a mist.

Nothing else mattered.

No one else mattered. 

Because in that very instance... she knew Kim Sojung was hers... she knew the woman is there and was going to be there...

She is Eunbi's... just as Eunbi is very much Sojung's.

And perhaps this might sound a little sappy...

But it truly is that very thought,

That very reality,

That sent Eunbi over the moon...

Letting her emotions catch up to her, tears of the most joyous of emotions, begins filling at the brim of her eyes.

"Do you mean it?" The blonde just had to ask. Her voice was both shaky yet demanding...

"Yes"

"What do you mean then?"

"I mean you're all I need Eunbi"

"Really?"

"Eunbi..." The old cold, dictating, and distant CEO was no longer present. Not in the way she acted... not in the way she spoke... and definitely... not in the way her arms never unwrapped herself around Eunbi... and the way her utmost softness her stares landed onto the shorter. "I want to be with you... I mean it"

"And your engagement?"

"I meant that part too. I-" Sojung lets out a long exhale. "I'm not sure what I'll do... and I know it's not going to be easy.. and- It's not a stretch to say I'm quite scared about it too... but-" Her grip around Eunbi tightens "No matter how terrified I am... I don't know- I'll figure something out eventually- I just know I want to be with you... and- I know this is a selfish ask but.. if you're willing to be patient with me just a bit longer, I'll end it somehow... I will. just... don't leave me."

It was insane that Sojung even had to say that...

Because in all reality, Eunbi couldn't even do so if she tried.

Her heart had refused to let go along time ago... leaving it vulnerable to shatter... because even if the heart refuses to leave... the moment the older was to say otherwise, Eunbi knew she would have to pull away, no matter how much pain it would cause her... no matter how many little pieces it'll leave her heart...

And as masochistic as this sounds, the blonde was ready for that type of pain.

There may have been a glimmer of hope from that previous night but her uncertainties had always been more consuming. Still, she took the bull by the horn and gave in to Sojung, knowing the full extent of the risk she was taking when doing so..
