Secretary's SecretA pen slips out from between Sojung's aching fingers, rolling from her table onto the ground. Having been clenching onto that item for god knows how long now, Sojung's hand finally retaliated with a sudden cramp, making the CEO hiss on the spot.
5 hours...
She thought to herself as she stared down onto her wristwatch.
5 hours since Sojung arrived home and 4 since she's cooped herself right up in her study room.
just what has my life become...
Letting out a deep sigh, Sojung closes her eyes and leans back onto her chair, no longer wanting to acknowledge the two files she still had left to analyze.
Eunbi...
She had to snap off her thoughts right there... eyes fluttering wide open again as she sits back up straight.
Honestly, for the past week or so, it truly seemed as if her secretary had completely infiltrated her mind and taken over.
In fact, the CEO will even go as far as saying that that particular infiltration was the very reason she's been so behind on work lately...
More so than usual, that is...
Eunbi had become a complete distraction...
but despite that knowledge... Sojung just can't seem to get the girl out of her mind.
Specifically... the clear hurt that was clearly written all over the younger's face, when she slowly climbed out from underneath her desk.
It was a look that was hard to erase from the mind...
But Sojung couldn't blame her...
No...
She couldn't blame the blonde for any of this... because if the situation were reversed, she would've been the exact same.
"I'm not interested in becoming the other woman alright! ... This situation... this entire situation should've never happened"
She's right... completely right....
What right did Sojung have to bring this kind of trouble to Eunbi? What kind of person is she, to force the younger into such a mess, to knowingly bring such a pure girl into the deep ends along with her... knowing exactly well it'll all come back to hurt the younger in the end... To just skip every single base with her but the third one and then not say anything afterward, most likely leaving her secretary in a frustrating amount of confusion each time.
Sojung knew, she knew exactly how much damage she must've caused... and the worst part? She herself didn't even know how to address it.
Leaning back onto her chair, a splatter of guilt starts spiking up in her chest.
For whatever this might mean... the CEO didn't have such lustful intentions with her secretary in the beginning...
She may had been slightly drawn for various reasons she couldn't explain initially, but the stress of her work along with her own personal turmoil of a life had made her completely ignore the feeling, brushing it off as just some surface-level shallow attraction.
Of course, as time went on, her work pile grew and as her work grew so did her stress... and as her stress grew she felt herself slowly chip away... slowly succumbing into a slave for her company...
She was absolutely drowning...with no room left to breathe, but never once would she complain...
Afterall... Kim Sojung is used to getting buried... over and over and over again until it's hard to see the light from the other end...
With no one but herself to climb out the deep hole she'll always sink into...
But then Eunbi came in during her most stressful time and always had something to say... had something to show that surprised the older in more ways than one. Even though they hadn't talked much about anything outside of work and even though it was hard to explain... to put it simply, Eunbi's presence would time after time, make Sojung forge
