Confrontation
Secretary's SecretThe weekend went by both fast and slow.
Traveling on the bus towards the company building was definitely slower and stepping off just made Eunbi's heart beat faster.
She supposes this anxious feeling in her stomach was honestly nothing new as by now, there had always seemed to be some form of anxiety nagging at her, ever since her first day of working for Aphrodite's Fashion.
However, today's anxiety is different... it wasn't the feeling the blonde used to get in her chest before stepping into the unknown compounds of her shared office.
No.
Today, there isn't meant to be anything unexpected.
She knows for a fact there isn't going to be a sudden rush of paperwork, that Sojung was no longer going to complain about her coffee and the said older woman and her weren't going to do anything inappropriate.
Eunbi knows all that for a fact... yet this feeling of anxiety is still undisputably present.
Well...
Perhaps the term anxiety isn't the best word to describe the feeling. But all Eunbi knew was, the very sensation felt like a piercing sharpness within her chest... the type that makes your heart speed up and breath run out all at the same time.
It was the type of feeling that gave you butterflies in your stomach and makes one hard of focus... and lastly...
It was the type of feeling where the symptoms only worsen the moment you lay eyes on the very person that had caused it in the first place.
Kim Sojung.
The most beautiful woman Eunbi had ever met in her lifetime, staring right back at her.
"Eunbi, Goodmorning" The older greeted her with a small smile that did wonders in rooting the blonde on her spot.
You're just too important to me
Those very words keep spiraling in her mind on repeat. It made the butterflies in her stomach grow twice in size and the haze in her head turn twice as thick.
"Eunbi?" Sojung had said her name again, softer than she had ever heard the older said before...
Realizing that she had literally been frozen on the spot long enough to raise concern, the secretary finally snaps out of her trance before greeting the CEO back and heading right towards her desk where a stack of untouched files laid neatly on the surface.
And that was how her day went by...
Tackling work that she had expected and finishing them off with results that were also expected.
It was quite frankly the most normal day the secretary had ever had in the office.
As for her interaction with Sojung? Well, it was nothing short of professional and work-related... however, it wasn't awkward either. In fact, the shorter had found their conversations to remain quite comfortable this way. It was almost like an unspoken agreement between the two...
Allowing work to be work and establishing anything outside of work shall be discussed outside of work.
Eunbi wasn't sure if the older felt the same way... but at the very least for the blonde, she felt her anxiety simmer down, as the day continued because of this.
But with that said, those very words Sojung had so graciously left off with her, never once left the latter's head, even as she was supposedly lost within her workload... that very sentence still played in the background like no tomorrow.
