Before All The Longings
+++++
"Wasn't that great? My heart almost jumped out a few times!" Grace looks up at the younger to see his reaction but Yifan is walking beside her with a blank face. She sighs as it's the reason why watching a horror movie with her cousin is great but it also can be a bit annoying.
Yifan slows his pace, letting Grace walk in front of him as he follows her from behind. He is more of an action movie guy but staying at home on a fine Sunday was boring. Bella left to meet her friends early in the morning and the silence of having the house to himself made him feel stuffed.
She steps into a clothing store, smiling at the male that apologize for almost bumped her on his way out with a phone against his ear. She turns around to see Yifan standing among the racks of clothes without interest of checking anything out. "Oi!"
His cousin has this mischievous smile on her face and Yifan doesn't like it.
"Let's give you a make-over!"
Yifan quickly turns around to leave but Grace is faster and he is being pulled by the wrist into the deeper part of the store. He tries to pull free but it just resulting the grip to be tighter. That one flowery shirt she bought for him during the last 'make-over' hasn't seen the light since he brought it home.
"How about this one?" Grace holds up a shirt with navy-themed design on it against her cousin large torso. It is something Yifan won't ever buy. "I like it!"
"No!" He stares death at the older.
"I like it too."
The deep, anonymous voice makes Yifan lift his head from looking at Grace and at this tall stranger that came from nowhere standing behind his cousin. He can't stop staring as the male is taller than him by a few inches, which is rare.
"It is a bit bold but you will make it look good."
Grace can't help but to grin, as someone agrees with her choice and the fact that the someone is this handsome and dreamy. "Right? He should totally buy this." Her grin gets wider at the handsome stranger's nod.
"Don't you think so too, Joonmyeon?"
The name makes Grace follow the stranger's line of sight and sees the person she met at Minseok and Luhan's wedding after party standing by a couple of mannequines, staring silently at them. She turns her head slowly and sees the same expression is on her cousin's face.
Yifan watches as the small male walks closer to the group before standing beside the tall one.
"I don't like it."
"Really? I think it would look good on him. I would wear it."
"Anything you wear would look good."
A ringing coming from the small male shifts his and everyone's attention and Yifan watches as the male reading something on his phone before looking up at the taller, tiptoeing as he whispers something to him.
Grace smiles awkwardly, nodding as the handsome stranger bids her goodbye before walking away with Joonmyeon. She has totally forgotten about the male as Bella has occupied her mind with her antics and she breathes out, slowly looking at her cousin. "Yifan."
The call of his name makes him realize he had been staring at the shop entrance and he purses his lips at that. He thought this feeling has gone away. Keeping his distance and staying away for the past two years did wonders so he shouldn't be feeling like this anymore.
"Yif..." She looks down as the wrist being pulled away from her hold and she hangs back the shirt, picking up her pace as she follows Yifan exiting the store. It has been a while since she saw the male being distress and irate like this. Is Joonmyeon the cause of it? She pulls the younger's arm, stopping him from walking and to look at her.
"I'm leaving. You can stay if you want."
"What happened between you and Joonmyeon?"
Yifan shakes his head. So it was shown on his face. "What do you mean? I don't even know him that much. What could have happened?" He turns around but Grace pulls him to face her back again, her eyes is looking at him with such seriousness.
"Then why do you mentioned his name when you drunk?"
Yifan stiffens.
+++++
"So, what do you want with me?"
"What is that tone? I am your senior. Show some respect!"
"I will show you respect when you are worthy of it."
Luhan pouts as this junior of his is still so stubborn when talking to him. It is tially different when comparing with his husband. He lets out a sigh. "So, I need to talk about Minseok."
Joonmyeon's ears perk up, eyes fixed at the older sitting across him. "Did you do something wrong and want me to cover for you? Not in a million years."
"Listen first." He was the one introducing the two but Joonmyeon is never on his side. Tsk. "As you know how I am useless and not worthy of your precious Minseok hyung, I finally got a week off and will be taking him on our honeymoon next week. So, any idea where should we go?"
He stares at the older. Minseok mentioned about his postponed honeymoon when he called him to thank for his gift. "Shouldn't you ask Minseok hyung instead?"
"He said this is my punishment and won't talk to me again if it turned out bad."
"Then, I should be going. Good luck." Joonmyeon gets up from his seat but gets pull back down by Luhan, his face begging for help.
"I'll bring you ten souvenirs!"
The waitress that took their order comes with their food and drinks and Luhan is forced to let go of his hand that is on the table. He thanks the girl before looking back at the older. He doesn't love Luhan but Minseok does and he loves Minseok and wants him to be happy. He sips his drink. "Did Minseok hyung mention anywhere before?"
Luhan works his brain, trying to remember some specific details about the many places they watched from that travel documentary. "He said that hand-bridge looks beautiful. And that tulip fields and that stone-thingy somewhere."
Joonmyeon feels like smacking the older with his spoon at his half-hearted answers. What does Minseok see in this Chinese male anyway? "Can't you be a little bit serious, hyung? Even with my help, Minseok hyung will never talk to you again if you are acting like this."
Luhan glances up at the younger as he chews his noodles. Does Joonmyeon think he doesn't know that? He is fully aware of his own behaviours but unless it is about his husband himself, he really doesn't care about anything else. He was busy staring at Minseok instead of watching whatever on the television.
Joonmyeon scoops a little of his mixed-grains rice and tops it with a small piece of the marinated beef before putting those into his mouth. Chewing, he fishes out his phone and opens the picture gallery, scrolling the screenshot folder and stops at the several pictures of bamboo forest. "Here."
The phone exchanges hand and Luhan swallows his food before properly looking at the pictures on the screen. The green bamboo trees that are standing tall fill the frame and he listens as the younger tells about the place. Minseok likes quiet places like this.
"You need to search and read about the place yourself. I am just suggesting it."
"Of course." He sips some of his drink, giving the phone back to Joonmyeon. "Why did you screenshot it? Are you planning to go there?"
Joonmyeon shrugs. He was just surfing through and the place looks beautiful and if time allows, he would love to go there.
"With that boyfriend of yours?"
He glances up, his spoon stopped mid-air. "What boyfriend? I don't have any."
"Then who was that tall guy? Is there any reason you don't want to introduce him to me?" It was just a brief moment since the said male gave Joonmyeon a nod before leaving him in front of the restaurant. Somehow he kind of look familiar.
"Many. First reason, that was my friend's boyfriend. Second, even if I ever have one, I will never introduce him to you as I don't want him to be corrupted by you. Third, I..." A raised hand stops him from continue and Joonmyeon smiles at the pouty face. He loves teasing the older like this.
Luhan wipes his mouth, eyes fixed at his junior that is picking up leftover grains of rice inside the bowl to eat. It has been two years since 'that' incident and he knows the younger isn't the type to hold grudges and thos harsh remarks are just jokes but he can't help feeling guilty every time he sees him. "Joonmyeon."
He looks up at the call of his name, puzzles at the way Luhan is staring at him.
"I'm sorry."
Joonmyeon's shoulders drop down at the apology and he takes a deep breath . He already forgiven the older and is moving on from what happened but somehow Luhan can't do the same. Does he need to tell him about that one detail? Will it make the Chinese male stop feeling apologetic towards him every time they meet?

"Yifan! Open up! Yifan!"
Bella watches as Grace keeps knocking on Yifan's bedroom door. The male had this irate face on him and didn't greet her when he passed by her to get to his room. Then Grace was at their front door looking for him.
"Yifan!"
She touches the older's shoulder, making Grace stop what she was doing and turn to her. "What's going on? Why did Yifan look so angry?"
Grace glances towards the closed door before letting out a sigh. She had been keeping to herself about that for so log and when the person finally appeared, she thought she would get an answer but with how her cousin reacted towards her question earlier, it seems the matter is much more complicated than she thought.
"Grace."
She plops herself on the sofa before watching Bella doing the same next to her, eyes fixed at her face. She doubts the younger know anything but it is worth to try. "Bella." A pair of eyes blinks at her. "Do you know Joonmyeon?"
Bella nods, earning a raised eyebrow from the older.
"Did Yifan tell you anything about him?"
Her own eyebrows are now raised. "Yifan knew Joonmyeon? I didn't know that." Grace is staring at her, wanting some answers. She tells the older about Sophia and the incident at the club. "She's the one that was looking for the key."
The image of the fair-skinned girl searching around the kitchen flashes back in her mind and Grace lets out a breath. No wonder she looked familiar. Talking about coincidences. A pull on her arm makes her face the younder once again.
"You haven't told me why Yifan is mad. What happened?" Bella looks straight at Yifan's cousin and she scooches back a little when realization hits her. "Did it has something to do with Joonmyeon? Why Yifan never told me about knowing him?"
"I don't know him and nothing happened!"
The stern, deep voice suprises both her and Bella and her eyes meet with Yifan's infuriate ones as he walks around the sofa to stand in front of her. "Yifan, I..."
"Go home." Yifan pulls his cousin up, leading her by the arm towards the front door. He lets her go and stares at ther as he holds the front door open.
"Yi..."
"Go."
Bella watches from the living room as Grace puts on her shoes and looking at Yifan for a moment, before passing by the male and leaving the house. Their eyes meet when Yifan walks bak into the house and she is being stared at by those inrage eyes.
"Don't let her in."
The slam of the bedroom door leaves the whole house in echo before silence filling it in. Bella sinks deeper into the sofa as her mind plays everything back. She has never seen Yifan being this angry since that day two years ago; the day the male suddenly decided to burn his designs and drawings. She purses her lips. Was that rage caused by Joonmyeon too?
