The Beginning
On Different WorldsTzuyu was frantically moving around the world at a rapid pace. She took one soul after another endlessly, exhaustion starting to catch up to her. The last time Death had to work this urgently was at the time of war, and yet, Tzuyu couldn’t spot anything that screamed ‘war’. There wasn’t any gun of some sort or people running around in circles, desperately trying to cling onto their dying loved ones.
Amidst all of her hectic killings and the way the scythe was starting to move on its own accord, she had to hold it back when she saw two familiar demons at the place she was suddenly summoned to.
“Sana… Momo…” Tzuyu’s voice was dripping with venom. She walked in a quick pace, each step representing the anger she felt within. The two demons froze, knowing well that that voice came from someone close to them.
“Tz-Tzuyu…” Sana stutters, hands shaking as she let go of the innocent man. Momo instinctively moved in front of Sana, holding her hands up next to her chest to try to calm Tzuyu down.
“Before you kill us, please let us explain.” Momo mutters, holding an arm out protectively in front of Sana as they both backed away from Death.
“Explain what? Explain how I’ve been killing millions of people in a day?” Tzuyu clutched the scythe tighter. “Are you also going to explain why I’m looking at the two of you kill a man before me?” When the two demons were backed into a corner, Tzuyu stood over them menacingly. “So all of this is your fault?”
Sana gulped. “Tzuyu… please hear us out first.”
“I told you not to call me by my name!” Tzuyu explodes. The scythe swung dangerously close towards Momo and Sana’s faces, and the two demons held their breaths while keeping their mouths shut. Tzuyu’s eyes glazed over, but as she watched Sana’s face contort into a frightened expression, she softened. “Sorry. Please tell me what’s happening…”
Momo and Sana watched as Tzuyu loosened her grip on the scythe. By now, the man they were supposed to kill had already gotten away. “Tzuyu, Satan’s back…” Sana muttered softly, watching as Tzuyu suddenly looked guilty.
“He’s back and he’s been forcing us to kill people for him…” Momo continued for Sana. Tzuyu glanced towards Momo too, her chest feeling heavy.
“Do you – “
“No. We don’t know why…” Sana cut Tzuyu off. “All we know is that he wants vengeance.”
“Vengeance?” Tzuyu asks, her eyebrows furrowing. “Why?”
“I think he believes that it was unfair how he got kicked out of heaven for not bowing to a mere human… so he’s planning on killing them all.” Momo shares her insight on the situation,
