Guess Who's Back?
On Different WorldsNayeon returned to hell with a huge grin on her face. There was a spring on every step she took and she was happily letting small flames dance at the tip of her fingers. After spending hours and hours talking about everything and nothing with Jeongyeon in the café, Nayeon left and got herself a phone.
She has no idea how it works, though.
The moment she set foot in her home however, she immediately feels a huge difference in mood from when she left earlier that morning. Momo and Sana weren’t there to greet her like they always do, and although Nayeon knows she can easily pass that as the two being lovesick with their crushes as per usual, there’s something odd about that moment.
She finds a quivering demon that nearly flies past her, but she immediately caught him in her hand. This was the first time she saw a demon in fear since –
“What’s going on?” Nayeon mutters, her mind denying the thought she had to stop a few seconds ago. The young man stops for a moment and looks at Nayeon with shaking eyes.
“H-He’s back. S-Satan’s back.” The poor guy’s voice was nearly cracking, and his body was convulsing like crazy. Nayeon let him go shakily, her hand starting to quiver too.
This was the first time she saw a demon in fear since Satan was in reign.
Now he’s back, and Nayeon couldn’t help but to feel terrified. Satan really was the root of all evil, and with him back, Nayeon knows she wouldn’t be able to move as freely as she’d like. Her mind suddenly takes her to Jeongyeon’s smile – how it seemed to turn the dull and boring café colourful or how it would drift to the first time she saw the human and how Nayeon felt like meeting that girl would probably change her life.
She didn’t know if it was for better or for worse, and with Satan back in business, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to find out.
Still, even with her legs shaking with every step she took closer to where she feels the rest of the demons will be, she knew she needed to muster enough strength to fight back.
She has to, for the sake of every demon in hell. She has to, for the sake of Momo and Sana who only chose the wrong path to make sure she doesn’t end up being lost. She has to, for the sake of having someone stand up to him for the first time.
She has to… For Jeongyeon.
As soon as she stepped into the dungeons, she felt a chill run down her spine. She heard Satan’s booming voice, demanding power, commanding the demons like there’s no tomorrow.
“Kill the humans; kill every single one of them!” His voice alone was probably enough to make a grown man or woman wet their pants. Nayeon observed
