“This is impossible!” Nayeon huffs in frustration. “I did everything you asked me to and it just won’t work!” She s her hand out again in hopes of seeing just a bit of magic puff out, but instead, she felt a shock run through her body.

“Nayeon, don’t let your emotions get the best of you.” Jihyo glared at the said girl, trying her best to stay patient. “The difference between how the demons use their powers and how the angels do it is within control.”

“Control?” Nayeon asked as she furrowed her eyebrows. In the corner of her eye, she sees Mina training with Tzuyu. “If you’re trying to say the demons weren’t in control, then you’re wrong.”

“That’s not what I meant.” Jihyo said, feeling a bit disgruntled because Nayeon looks like she got offended. “Demons rely on how they feel more than how they think. Their powers may be stronger than angels, but angels don’t burn out as quick.” Jihyo gave Nayeon a soft smile. “Maybe that’s why you lost your powers so easily.”

“I still don’t get it much.” Nayeon crossed her arms and pouts.

“It’s okay, I’m here to teach you.” Jihyo sat next to Nayeon and gives her a reassuring smile. “Now take a deep breath and focus.”

Nayeon glared at the space before her, frustrated to no ends because of how poorly her performance was going – but she inhaled and let herself relax.

“Tell me how you feel.” Jihyo eases her voice in, making sure to speak calmly so that Nayeon wouldn’t be stressed.

“I’m angry.” Nayeon’s eye twitches. “Frustrated…” She looks at Nayeon with a serious expression. “I’m smad.”

“Sad and mad.” Nayeon looks back at the space she was concentrating on. “Now what do I do?”

“W-Well, I’d want you to forget about how you feel for now.” Jihyo urges, her eyes shifting to look at the spot Nayeon seemed to focus on. “I want you to think of what you want to create and –“ Jihyo gathers a gust of wind and creates a small tornado. Nayeon’s eyes sparkle, not really knowing how to use her powers except to create devastating flames. “There.” Jihyo smiles to herself in satisfaction. “I want you to try it.”
