Bang YongGuk

Two hours were too short. If I could concentrate myself enough, I was a normal guy during those two hours, dressed with black clothes. I didn't find the grey jumpsuit  very flattering. As I closed my eyes to sleep, I smiled. Yeah if I concentrate enough, I could imagine this parlor hour as a date. I could almost feel the taste of the strong coffee on my tongue as I drifted to sleep.

As I went though the book, I had a good moment. I never took time to read Harry Potter. This month I read the four first one and was waiting for her to lend me the fifth book. Not reading Harry Potter when I was a teen was an huge error from me. I finished the fourth book in only three days. It was good, I was eager to read the next book. As I was outside enjoying the sun, someone came to sit next to me.

" Hyung. "

I looked at him and sighed. He arrived recently. Choi JunHong. Just became an adult last month and already here.

For thief I think and somehow found a liking in me. I couldn't get it. Doesn't he know ? He doesn't know right ? No one thought necessary to tell him ?

He came to sit next to me and we chatted a bit. He was a bit idiot, followed orders of biggers than him leading him here. When JaeHo came to our side, he rolled his eyes. " No one told you huh ? "

JunHong looked at me, dumbfounded. I knew he had to know someday. " You shouldn't talk with him. " Jaeho warned him.

" What ? "

I just left, leaving Jaeho to reveal my secret to JunHong. I was partly sad because the sun on my skin was so great. Closing my eyes I almost could picture myself on the beach. I went a bit away, behing the building looking at the view. The only good side being here is the sea. I guess that without this I would become crazy. The airport isn't far away. It's such a heartbreak each time I hear the plane. How many years it had been since I took the plane ? It would be such a nice thing, to travel and see new landscapes.

Soon the speakers were up and I looked at the clock. Our daily walk was over. It was time to go back in our cell and get bored until dinner.

The next day was tuesday. As a prisonner, I usually wake up at 6am, and read until 7am, when they drop our breakfast in the cell. When we finished to eat breakfast we usually have free time. After our second meal of the day, I usually get my daily hour of being outside. I love that moment as much as I hate it. Not everyone gets it at the same time, but it's always hard to get a peaceful moment. It already happened I got beat up outside, when the guards weren't watching. On monday we have sport activity and on wednesday arts lessons and sometimes, well rarely we got events, sports competition, special art lessons. But everyday looked pretty much the same. Just having too much time to kill between your hands, an hour outside, three plain meals and barely any leisure ... except for the visits.

As prisoners, we have up to three visits in the week, of two hours each. That time of visits is different for everyone yet  you can feel it around you. Everyone is just excited when they get visits. They get to see loved ones,wifes friends, daughters sons grandma, mother father, sisters and brothers, aunts and what else. When I first arrived, no one came to visit me. My parents would never do that, considering me as dead. My close friends got ashamed of me and never came either. My girlfriend didn't even come to my trial. I used to hate this mood. When my other cellmate got to see his wife, he was so happy I got annoyed. So much joy got me sick inside.

Then, I got a flyer for Friends and decided to try it. I mean, loneliness was heavy. That's how I met Himchan and now HaSeul. These days, she visited twide a week. In a single month I read all of the Harry Potter, I knew all her friends from college. She was a very cool person to chat with. Must be popular everywhere she goes.

Today I was excited to meet her. As always, I finished the book she lended me last week and was really eager for our time together to come. I was outside enjoying the sun when JunHong came to see me.

" Hyung. "

I looked at him, waiting for him to speak.

" I'm sorry I didn't talk to you these days but the rumors... "He looked really embarassed. " I just thought you were there for thief like me. Because we have the same schedule. I wanted to make sure, you're a murderer ? "

I looked at him dead in the eyes. " Yes, I am. You can go and pretend we never talked to each other now. "

JunHong was clearly shocked.  " I was shocked at first but it's silly, you don't seem like a bad guy and ... "

JaeHo came to our side. " A problem with our maknae, you ing murderer ? "

I stood up. " I only told him to stay away from me. "

" Why didn't you tell that to that poor man you killed ?" Jaeho said to me.

We hated each other. He would always point out that I killed someone. I mean, if we're here, it's that we've done something to deserve it, right ? Jaeho isn't even someone good, not a thief or a violent man, he was a . That a came to meet me to give me morality lessons. I sighed annoyed and left my spot.

I walked away and he took me by the collar. " You're a ing coward. "

" A problem with me not being violent ?" I said to him.

He hated when I pointed out he was the violent one. He frowned before giving me a nice smirck.  " I heard there is a pretty lady visiting you. How about I ask for Friends to visit me too, huh ? Must be nice to have a girl visiting you. "

I became angrier right away. The jail was a medium size one and of course news were dispatched very quickly. I made him release my collar. " Don't even think about it. "

"Isn't today you have to meet her ? How about I groom you a bit ? "

If I learned one thing being here is that you shouldn't punch people. Not even defend yourself. Jaeho left when my face was bleeding. The guards suddenly noticed I was on the floor, in pain and rushed over me. That's how my tuesday got suddenly disturbed. I hissed at the medical nurse made a ice patch rest on my eyes.
