"Are you serious!" Nayeon's eyes were ready to fall out from her head as she stared back at Jeongyeon. She couldn't believe her ears. Maybe it was a joke and this was mistake. But the look on Jeongyeon's face and the silence she was holding claims that it wasn't.

Jeongyeon's heart was thumping quickly and didn't understand what that meant. She wanted to forget it ever happened but the image of his face was flashing in her mind like lightening. She let out a sigh and moved her head back as she was sitting on the sofa with her legs bent. She could see the change in his face as his strong cheeks bones went well with his face and his plump lips and his fine y line eyebrows.

When the word y ran into her mind, she widen her eyes and felt some heat going to her cheeks.

"Did you exchange numbers?" Nayeon asked as she was taking a sip of her tea.

Jeongyeon turned to look at her giving her look. "Now, why would I do that?"

The older girl shrugged and smiled. "A new leaf Jeongyeon. Be the better person and start over."

"I don't want to be the better person! He dismissed me remember? He wanted to end our friendship." Jeongyeon sighed getting up from the sofa and went to the kitchen. "Just because he did one good deed doesn't mean he is different from a long time ago."

Nayeon let out a sigh with a pout to her friend who went to her bedroom. She was in comfortable position and didn't want to move. But knowing the conversation, it wasn't over just yet. "You never know unless you just forget it and start over."

Jeongyeon went to get the things and went to the bathroom to get ready for work. "Again, why should I?"

Nayeon saw the younger girl turn and lean on the door frame. She couldn't help but step closer and put her hand on her arm. "It's been five years Jeongyeon. Have you ever thought that maybe he would want to explain his reason and start again, being friends?. Possibly more someday."

Jeongyeon widen her eyes and fixed herself to stand properly. "How can you say that last part?"

"Because you liked him for a long time and before everything happened, I remember hearing a girl who was crying in the restroom because she felt like she lost her only best friend." Nayeon tilted her head to her. She smiled brightly to her and waited her for to think on it. Jeongyeon looked at her with a serious face of not wanting to believe her. When actually, it was true.

At one point, Jeongyeon had feelings for Jiwon. She didn't know when it started but feelings were crawling into her heart making it race than normal when he was around. They were close and each other's best friends. It was only a matter of time before someone fell and it happened to be her.

"Why do you always think positively about this?" Jeongyeon mumbled to her when she looked down at her feet.

Nayeon went for a hug and felt her arms around her frame. "Because Jeongyeon, people change and sometimes it can be for the good or bad. But if they want a second chance in your life, give them one."

Jeongyeon looked at her best friend and was still pouting in front of her. "You know, if it wasn't for him, I never would have met you or Juho and the others."

Nayeon giggled at her comment which was true but she knew Jeongyeon didn't mean anything bad by it. She cupped one side of her face stared at her. "Get ready for work and I'll walk you there ok?"

Jeongyeon nodded and saw her friend leave the room so she could change. She turned and looked at herself in the mirror. Five years is a long time and it has been since she last saw Jiwon. There was a lot of memories with him, happy and funny ones but also some were painful and made her feel alone.

She didn't want to have anything to do with him. But yesterday was strange. He somehow helped her, cared for her and wanted to make amends. Is that even possible to happen? It was a long time since they had spoken and Nayeon had a point. She closed her eyes and rubbed her temples.

This is not something she wanted to think about. Not after slowly getting back on her feet from what happened a month ago.

Bobby was in the studio room messing with some beats and some sounded too familiar. He went back and started again. He shook his head and started again. He was trying to find something different.

He had been working in the music industry for a while now and he never once regretted it. He worked his way up from his internship three years ago and he is now a producers assistant. He thought he would get someone else who was an but thankfully, he worked with a great person who he saw as a friend as well.

Sometimes there were a few fights but it was understandable.

Bobby pushed his papers to the floor feeling frustrated and closed his eyes groaning. He couldn't stop thinking about her.

Yoo Jeongyeon.

He wished he had gotten her number and try to call her. But he didn't want to invade her privacy just yet. He wanted her to give it to him willingly. He knew something was going on with her. Even though they hadn't spoken in years, he always knew her facial expression. After all, he was her best friend. Just because he wasn't in her life now, he still cared.

He opened his eyes and leaned back on the chair and looked up at the dim lights above him. If he kept swinging back and forth, he would fall asleep and it wouldn't be the first time.

It's only been one day and I can't stop.

He wanted to see her again but he didn't know how.

He wanted to talk to her and sadly beg.

Beg to fix things.

But she probably wouldn't allow him too. She is strong after what he saw. Before, she wasn't and he couldn't help but close his eyes and mind for a moment before he explodes.

He had it hard focusing when it came to thinking about one girl in particular.

He knew if he were to try to get back into her life again it was going to be hard. He was going to need help. He had someone on the inside but he never got a call from that person and that was a month ago. Now he was a sitting rock.

There has to be way to see her again..but how?

Bobby opened his eyes and stared at the same dim lights from above.

Jeongyeon was munching on her rice looking around as she was sitting. She was waiting for Jiwon at their same spot and he mentioned during the break, they would be eating with another person. A new student came in and was his new desk buddy.

She smiled as she saw Jiwon walking over with a new transfer. He was pretty cute for his age and his visuals were flawless for a guy. Jeongyeon waved for Jiwon to come over and he chuckled to the new guy and sat down.

"Hey, this is him." Jiwon sat down next to Jeongyeon.

She swallowed her food and smiled at him. "Hi, Yoo Jeongyeon."

"Song Yunhyeong." The boy smiled with cute dimples and sat down.

"That's all your going to eat?" Jiwon looked over to Jeongyeon as she was eating her rice.

She nodded with a hum and felt nervous today. But it wasn't just today. It had been happening for a week."Yeah, I don't have much of an appetite."

Yunhyeong was going to say something but Jiwon beat him to it. Now he could only sit and watch them interact as he became invisible.

"Are you feeling sick?" Jiwon touched her forehead making her heart do a flip and moved it away. "You're not warm."

Jeongyeon shrugged. "I'm fine."

"If you don't feel good, go to the nurse and text me." Jiwon smiled at her. He cared a lot for her and didn't want her to get sick. He would miss her.

"I didn't realize she was your girlfriend." Yunhyeong smiled as he was eating his food.

The two looked at him and stayed quiet but Jiwon cleared his throat with a smirk. "We are just friends. Get your head out of the clouds."

"Friends? Best friends? Those who are best friends of the opposite always lead to something more." Yunhyeong smirked as he picked up his drink. "It's only a matter of time."

"You've been watching too many dramas." Jeongyeon laughed and ate her rice again. She felt her cheeks burning and looked around at the other students.

Yunhyeong could only stare at the two and knew there had to be something going on. He wasn't sure if they were denying it or pretending but there was something between them. He was going to say something again but when he opened a mouth a name got called out.

"Kyungwan?"

Jeongyeon snapped her head to the direction and felt her heart jumping in the speed of light as she shook. She saw two people staring at her with a smirk.

"You know, long hair won't change your name." The boy said with a chuckle as he stared at her and then the two boys. "Sitting with two boys? Hmm you must have found your true self huh?"

"What did you just say?" Jiwon stood up from his chair and went to block Jeongyeon. "Are you implying something on her?"

Jeongyeon didn't want to give in to those words the boy was talking about but she stood up and went to the middle facing Jiwon from doing anything. "Jiwon, its fine."

"No its not!" He pushed the boy back making him stumble and another one came to defend him. "I won't let them accuse you of something that's a lie."

One boy gave her a smirk titling his head. "Looks like he doesn't know right?"

Jeongyeon turned her head and gave him a glare. "Don't you have something better to do you ?"

"You little --"

Jiwon pulled her back behind him and Yunhyeong was standing up and couldn't understand what was happening. One moment Jiwon was smiling and looking at the girl with caring eyes and the next he did a turn around and became protective.

Just friends? Right...

"Stay the hell away from her!" Jiwon glared at the boys and as they slowly back away, staring at Jeongyeon behind him. He turned around when they were out of sight and saw her sharking in her spot. "Jeongyeon...?"

She took a step back and left the canteen. She couldn't hold in the tears of something from her past. She wished it was gone and forgotten. She wanted it to be a dream to wake up from. This was her one chance to start again and be her own person with a new name.
