“Hwang Eunbi.” I turned to Sojung.

“I’ll not let them touch you or even go near you ever again. You hear me” I could hear from her voice that she was dead serious.

I didn’t know how to react.

“Thank you.” I thanked her instead.

“What did I say about thanki-”

“Just let me say it. Just this once.”

“Ugh fine. JUST THIS ONCE.”

I took a deep breath. “Sojung, thank you. Really, I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve all these. Thank you very much.”

“Are we done? If you are then let’s go.” She continued walking.

“You look tired. Do you need help?” It’s so heavy, but I can't complain.

“No it’s oka-” Just a little further.

“Since you don’t want me to help you carry, maybe this will do.” She went to the roadside to flag for a taxi.

I stared at her in disbelief.

I wanted to stop her, but I was too slow. A taxi stopped in front of us.

“Get in.”Sojung ordered and I got in.

I just stared at Sojung the whole ride.

“You can go unpack first.” Sojung showed me my room .

It was simple and clean.

“Need help?”

“It’s okay, I can manage.”

“Well, I’ll be downstairs. Just call my name if you need anything.”

“Okay.”

It took me an hour or two to unpack everything and pack my room.

“You’re done?”

“Yeah, and I’m tired.”

“Aww, come and sit here.”

I sat down beside her.

“Yerin’s reaching anytime.”

“She’s coming?” I furrowed my brows.

“Yeah, I asked her if she wants to come for revision. And she agreed.”

“Oh.” I nodded.

The door bell rang.

“Speaking of the devil. I’ll go get the door.”

Sojung opened the door, and Yerin was standing there

“Hey Sojung.”

“Hey, come in.”

“Eunbi? You’re here too?” She seemed surprised.

“Yeah, I-”

“I asked her to come along.” Sojung cut me.

“Let’s get started.” Sojung took out her notes.

Yerin took out her notes and textbooks as well.

“Guys?” It was me, who was the blur and muddled one.

“Hmm?”

“What are we studying? What am I supposed to take out?”

“Tomorrow’s test. History and theory.” Sojung answered.

“There’s two?” I totally didn’t expect that.

“Yeah there’s two. During the test, there will be two papers given out. The teacher will tell you which paper to do first. Each paper is twenty five minutes” Yerin explained.

“Oh.”

“So, which one are we studying first?”

“History!” Yerin jumped, and Sojung just gave her the disgusted look.

“This Ginseng here loves history.”

“Yes, but I don’t enjoy Mr Kim’s class. It’s too boring.”

“I like music theory more though.” Sojung nodded.

“How about you?” Both of them looked at me.

“Well, I have no favourite subjects, but I like sectionals and combine.” I smiled.

Sojung and Yerin looked at me.

“What’s with the stares?” I took out my notes and started reading.

I flipped to a new page and started drawing mindmaps.

Sojung was highlighting key points from her notes and Yerin was writing down details of a historical musician.
