Chapter Nine: Ara's POV

After Jinho and the other's headed out for the day college student Chae Minhwan arrives at the station to be questioned. Hyunggu brings him into my cubicle and I size him up. The boy was of medium height, relatively handsome and seemed to be a well-rounded student.

He sits down across from me looking nervous. He clears his throat. "Miss Detective, why am I here?"

I lean forward resting my elbows on my desk. "Mr. Chae, do you happen to know Lee Hyun?"

He squints and sits back. "Is that the girl Mr. Park asked me to tutor?"

I quickly nod. "Yes, so you do know her?" So he had met her before?

He hums. "Yeah, I know of her."

"Hyun has been missing since the afternoon you were supposed to tutor her." I say firmly, his eyes widening. "You don't happen to be involved in this Mr. Chae, do you? You would've been the last person to see her alive."

He quickly shakes his head. "I didn't go to her tutoring session that day!"

I raise an eyebrow. "Why?"

He coughs. "Because I found out it was her I was tutoring."

"What about it being her?" I push him further.

He lowers his gaze. "Well you see I've tutored Hyun before and we kind of ended up sleeping together." His eyes dart up to mine like he was embarrased. So Chae Minhwan was the biology tutor from Hyun's diary entry post? "I was embarrassed it happened, she was a high school student and I'm in college. So when I found out it was her I'd be tutoring again I couldn't bring myself to go."

I sigh. "Can anyone confirm you didn't go?"

He quickly nods. "Lots of people, I attended a group study session at the mathematics center."

I jot that down to look into and sigh once more. "I hope that if you think of anything more that could help us find her that you'd come forward."

He offers me a small smile nerves still present in his voice. "I certainly will. Hyun wasn't a bad person, I truly hope she's alright."

I rest my head in my hands roughing up my hair. Minhwan, Yoo Dongwook, and Park Dongmin's alibis were all just confirmed by Hyunggu who had been looking into them. That took us right back to square one. Though Jinho was still hot on Chulso being weird. There was nothing out of the ordinary with him either.

Detective Kim Hyojong comes running in frantically causing my head to whip up. "Ara!"

"What Hyojong?" I ask him.

"We found the car Hyun was last seen getting into!"

I quickly stand up. "Where was it?"

Hyojong slows to a stop huffing trying to catch his breath. "Outside of town, it was abandoned it seems."
