JENNIE
“Ow! Ouch! Stop that! It hurts!” I cried out.
Jisoo was attacking me with a magazine while I was still lying in bed.
“How many times do I have to tell you to stop drinking so much? Aish” she continued to hit me.
“Unnie! Unnie stop!” I tried to block her. “I was just trying to have fun” I was finally able to get a hold of both her hands.
“Have fun??” she asked in disbelief. She tried to free herself from my grip. “Don’t you remember what you did last night???”
I abruptly sat up and a strike of pain shot straight to my head. I let go of her and put both my hands on my temples. “Ahh - my head is killing me”
I found Tylenol on my bedside table. I reached out for it and popped one in my mouth.
“What do you mean?” I asked her.
“Ya, you really don’t remember anything?” she was outraged, “At all??”
My eyes trailed towards a note under a water bottle on my bedside,
“I swear I don’t!” I pulled the note out as I reached for some water and read it,
“Who’s this from?” I asked Jisoo.
She ignored my question and grabbed my shoulders to face her,
“Ya, Jennie-ah. Look at me. You swear you’re not just pretending not to remember anything right now?” she looked dead serious.
“Unnie, why would I pretend? I really don’t. How bad was it that you’re this worked up so early in the morning?” I took a sip of water.
She looked so done with me, “How are you still so relaxed about blacking out like that?”
Then someone knocked on the door,
“We’re leaving in 10 minutes girls. Get ready.”
Jisoo sighed. “Let’s talk about this later. Go get dressed. We don’t want to miss our train.”
When we got to the station, everyone looked half-dead - clearly suffering from zero sleep and a bad hangover.
