JENNIE

I received a call from Jaewon’s manager when we landed in Seoul.

Jaewon has locked himself in his room again. It’s been 2 days.

“Did something happen? Why won’t he come out?” I tried not to sound hysterical, but my worry was starting to build up.

Please be okay in there, I thought.

“Just please hurry. I’m begging you.” he pleaded, “He has a schedule in a few hours and we will be in big trouble if he doesn’t show up.”

“I’m on my way.” I dropped the call.

“Manager Oppa can you - “

“Drop you off at Jaewon’s?” He guessed.

“But we just got here, unnie.” Chaeyoung protested, “Didn’t you say you had a headache? You’ve barely slept the past few days. You need to rest.” the concern in her voice didn’t go unnoticed.

So I put my best smile on for her.

“I’ll be fine, Chaeyoung-ah. Just drop me off there.”

When I arrived at Jaewon’s place, I barged right through the front door and ran to his room. 

I banged on the door as though my life depended on it. 

“Won-ah! Won, it’s Jennie. Can you please let me in???”

No answer.

“Won please. Whatever it is, open the door so we can talk it out.”

Still no response.

I turned to face his manager, “Don’t you have a copy of the keys for -?”

The door behind me suddenly swung open and a dazed Jaewon stared at me with a longing expression. He had dark bags under his eyes.

“Jen. You’re back,” he managed to say.
