CHOI RAE SUNG

I’ve been listening to Hanbin hyung and Jennie noona’s relentless bickering for almost 20 minutes now.

I checked my phone for the nth time, hoping for some miracle to pop up and come save me when a KaTalk message appeared.

It was from Seung hyung. 

He’s one of the guys Hanbin and I make music with.

He was going out with some guys for drinks and wanted me to come join them.

‘I can’t right now. I’m at the studio.’ I replied.

Even if I wanted to, how in the world could I even get myself out of here?

These two are worse than the dogs that guard the gates of hell.

And the last thing I want is to get in the middle of their heated argument.

‘I knew you’d say that. Just arrived at the building with Jaewon. Walking there now.’ He sent back.

Oh no. 

No no no. 

Not One.

‘Hyung, I can’t for real -‘ I was beginning to type out when Seung bust through the door screaming.

“Annyeonggg chinguuuu!” He looked like a mess, probably already wasted. He was smiling from ear to ear.

Hanbin and Jennie jumped up in surprise at his sudden entrance.

When Seung saw that there was another person in the room, he rubbed his eyes and squinted.

The lights were dimmed, with just one lamp left on.

“Who-?” He turned to me.

We never really brought anybody else in here.

Come to think of it, Jennie was the first.

And Seung was in for a big surprise.

He’s had a huge crush on Jennie since before her debut. 

He once begged Hanbin to introduce them but had only been blatantly rejected.

Probably thinking the same thing, Hanbin shifted his stance to cover Jennie before turning to Seung.

“Hyung, have you been drinking?” He asked.

“I had a bottle of wine with One and thought you guys might want to join us? He’s just downstairs taking care of some things but will be up in a bit.”

Jennie gasped.

Without her having to say so, I knew she didn’t want to get caught up in between Hanbin and One again.
