I woke up to my phone ringing non-stop.

I looked at the time.

2 am.

It was an unknown number.

Who would be calling at this hour?

Jennie was still sound asleep beside me.

She was nestled onto my arm and I carefully got up from the bed to take the call.

A sharp voice blasted from the other end of the line, “Ya Kim Hanbin!!!! Why haven’t you been answering?!”

I pulled the phone away from my ear, “Who is this?”

That voice could break an eardrum.

“It’s Jisoo! It’s an emergency! Would you know where Jennie is??”

“Jennie?” I scratched my head and took another glance at her sleeping.

“She didn’t come home. Our manager said she left with One sometime in the afternoon today. I’ve been calling both of them but they haven’t been answering. So I called One’s manager and he said Jennie wasn’t with them anymore. Has she contacted you, by any chance?” Her voice was racing in panic.

I gritted my teeth.

So he was the reason for all of this? Figures why she wouldn’t tell me.

“Hello?? U still there??” She asked.

“Uhh, yeah. Sorry, Jennie is here with me.” I finally said.

“Oh thank God!!” I could sense her relief.

“She’s asleep, though. But I’ll send her back first thing tomorrow myself so you don’t have to worry.”

“Thank you, Hanbin. Sorry for calling so late.”
