I was alone in my studio blasting music for the past hour when I noticed my phone vibrating on the table.

YG Jennie. 34 missed calls.

I sat up straight.

What does she need?

I reached for my phone and stared at her name that is still on the screen, unable to decide if I should answer it or not.

She never calls me first. What could this be about?

I was immersed in my thoughts when Jennie suddenly walks into the room, phone to her ear, outraged to see me just staring at her name on my phone while it was ringing.

“Ya!” she screamed.

I stood up.

How is she here right now?

“Wh-what are you doing here?” I stuttered, startled by her unexpected arrival.

“Why aren’t you picking up?!” she pointed to my phone.

“I - uhh..” I put my phone inside my pocket, crossed my arms, and tried to answer with conviction, “I’ve been busy.”

I was still confused as to why she was here.

“Busy?” she raised an eyebrow at me, “Are you for real?”

“Yes!” I put my arms on my waist. “Yes, I’ve been busy. VERY busy.” I emphasized. 

It was starting to get ridiculous how badly I was insisting this to be true.

“Ya!” she laughed, “Who are you, Kang Daniel?! How busy can you be that you can’t even answer a single call when your phone is right in front of you?”

I couldn’t help but look guilty. 

How do I get out of this? I was undeniably caught red-handed.

Then a laughing Raesung emerges from the dark behind Jennie.

He was trying to catch his breath from laughing too hard.

“Noona, don’t you think that’s too much?” he chuckled. “Kang Daniel! Hahahahahaha”
