They were in CNBLUE’s studio in FNC Building, Yong Hwa was trying to finish a new song. After a flow of conversations, they both randomly stayed silent, staring into the air for more inspiration.

“Did you see our performance at Chocolate?” Hyun randomly asked.

Yong Hwa stopped twirling his pen. “Hm? Yes, of course I did”

“And?”

“And what, Hyun?” he inquired, eyebrows going up. “Are you fishing for compliments now?”

“Aniya! I’m just—I just want to know your opinion—“

He randomly played his guitar. “Well. You know I like Hoot. Though I’ll never manage to follow the dance….”

She laughed.

“But that dance number was totally—“ he stopped, stole a glance, and grinned.

“What?”

Smokin’ hot? He thought. Wondering when he would dare to say everything inside his head to her. That “You in a tight black pants will be the dead of me one day?” kind of thing.

“It was so cool” he said finally, amused how well he managed to cover what he wanted to say.

“Ah. Gomawoyo”

He looked at her again and contemplated. But then decided to say it anyway, for future precaution.

“But I wish you won’t sing that song anymore”

“Which song, Oppa?”

“If You Seek Amy”

“Why?”

“You don’t know? I thought so. Even your Jessica and Tiffany-unnie don’t know?”

Seo Hyun started to get confused.

“No”

“My brother lives in America and he told me the real meaning of that Britney song”

“What does it mean, then?”

Yong Hwa rolled his chair to the whiteboard and wrote with big letters, “IF U SEEK AMY”.

“That’s the title of the song, right?” he rechecked.

Seo Hyun nodded, not knowing where he’s going next.

“Pay attention” he ordered. He erased I from If and the A from Amy. “Hyun, how do you write See with alphabet?”

Seo Hyun frowned. “With letter C?”

“Right” He erased See and replaced it with letter C. And then, as Seo Hyun’s eyes followed his hand, he erased Y to E, making it Me not My.

He could feel her mind racing as she read the letters, while he kept his back on her and faced straight to the whiteboard. He knew what she would do when she got the meaning.

She screamed. Apparently shocked and horrified.

He turned to her and she was blushing like mad with hands covering . “Oh my God!”

“Yeah. Mianhe. But I thought you should know. If I think about your solo part at the end of the song….”

Seo Hyun dug her brain, remembering her part and mentally converted it to the real meaning of the song and she screamed again and finally covered her face with her hands.

“I didn’t know. I have no idea. We didn’t know! We never meant to—“

“Of course you didn’t know. I just hoped you won’t sing it again. Though it was a great performance”

She nodded and put her head on the table.

He concluded she wouldn’t survive anytime soon and he satisfied himself by pouring a glass of water for her.
