Irene’s eyes fluttered open.

 

Her hands felt around.

 

Soft.

 

Irene was back on her bed under the covers.

 

Something’s wrong. She swore something bad happened to her.

 

Oh.

 

Oh yes. A vampire had kidnapped her.

 

Wait then how did she get on her bed?

 

Was it all a dream?

 

Memories started flooding her mind as she felt more awake.

 

[Flashback]

 

"Wake up!" A muffled voice sounded. "Are you feeling dizzy?"

 

Irene opened her eyes to meet deep blue ones. The ones she was willing to drown in.

 

"Wendy?"

 

"Who’s that?" The mysterious girl mumbled, mouth covered by her black mask. "Get up quick! He’s not going to be out for long."

 

Irene rubbed her eyes.

 

Grey.

 

The girl had ash-grey hair unlike Wendy.

 

She had deep blue eyes instead of honey brown ones.

 

"Behind!" Irene shouted as she saw the vampire stood up again.

 

Irene eyes widen as she witnessed the lightning-speed fight that flashed in front of her. 

 

Blood splashed about.

 

A fierce fight. Irene couldn’t really recognise who was who. Everything was a blur for her.

 

She did see hints of grey here and there.

 

"Don’t die..." Irene clasped her hands together.

 

All Irene managed to catch was the mysterious girl slamming her foot into the Heechul’s face, kicking him towards the wall of the alley.

 

"Run!" She yelled at Irene.

 

That’s what Irene would love to do at that moment but her legs wouldn’t obey her. They stood rooted to the ground.

 

The creepy delivery guy stood up again before charging at the black figure once again.

 

Irene heard a low grunt as the latter was struck at her torso.

 

Heechul pulled her hoodie down, revealing her ash grey hair that appeared silver under the moonlight. The boy tilted his head forward, in an attempt to bite down on the other’s neck.

 

"Die!" She shouted as she kneed him at his crotch.

 

Heechul fell to the ground, curled up and rolling.

 

"I said run!" She turned to Irene.

 

Irene couldn’t really her her voice behind that mask.

 

All she wanted was to remove it and look at the pretty face.

 

And maybe kiss her...

 

"I-I... I can’t." The raven haired trembled.

 

"Urgh!" The hooded girl picked up the girl and ran.

 

"S-Sorry!" Irene mumbled as she burried her face in the other’s neck.

 

The raven haired felt vibration against her ear.

 

Why was she laughing?

 

"It’s fine. Just... Becareful."

 

Irene let exhaustion take over as she drifted to dreamland.

 

[End of flashback]

 

Irene scrambled out of bed, hoping to find the mysterious savior.

 

"Hello?" Irene called out.

 

The only reply she got was the silence that consumed the entire apartment.

 

Sighing, the girl gave up and prepared for school.

 

"Irene! Are you okay?" Seulgi ran to her as she left her house.

 

"What do you mean?" Irene was puzzled.

 

Unless she meant yesterday...

 

"Uhh... Last night. Are you hurt?" Seulgi stuttered.

 

"As you can see, I’m not visibly injured." Irene said.

 

"Visibly?"

 

"Traumatized."

 

"Oh. You... need me to sleepover?"

 

"Irene!" Wendy shouted as she saw the duo entering the school.

 

The blonde ran over and hugged the said girl.

 

"Did you miss me?" Wendy smiled cheekily.

 

"Why would I?"

 

Wendy pouted.

 

"Stop flirting openly!" Seulgi complained.

 

Irene just glared at Seulgi as per usual, before strutting off to her lockers to grab her lesson materials.

 

"See you at lunch!" Seulgi yelled in the distance.

 

"So... Rinie, what happened?" Wendy asked. "You look pale."

 

"U-Uh? Avampireattackedmelastnight..." Irene mumbled under her breath.

 

Fortunately, Irene didn’t need to repeat herself twice. Wendy had understood it perfectly.

 

"Where did he hurt you?" Wendy exclaims as she looked Irene up and down, discreetly checking her out.

 

"No. A goddess saved me before he could do anything." Irene’s eyes sparkled.

 

Irene noted, Wendy looked a little hurt as she said that.

 

"I’m sorry I wasn’t there... I’ve said I would protect you." Wendy mumbled guilty.

 

"What could you even do?" Irene joked ans nudged her, trying to cheer her up.

 

The two sat at their usual places in the lecture hall and took out their materials.

 

"So... Did you see who he was?"

 

"I couldn’t recognise him." Irene lied and looked away.

 

Why did Irene not tell Wendy? Was she worried that something bad might happen to Wendy as well?

 

Would the vampire come back and get the ones that knew of his identity?

Night came again as Irene was cuddled up in her blankets, watching ‘The Notebook’, her favourite movie of all times.

 

Her phone rang.

 

It was an unknown number.

 

A video call?

 

Who could it be, daring to interupt Irene’s favourite film?

 

Picking up, all Irene saw was a white blob on her screen, and all she heard was strange noise from the audio.

 

Irene was really really creepy out. 

 

Who was it?

 

Immediately, she hung up.

 

Could it be Heechul?

 

Her phone rang again, a voice call this time.

 

Irene never knew what had dared her to pick up.

 

"Who are you?! Don’t hurt me!"

 

"Chill your , it’s me Seul!” The girl on the other side of the line huffed.

 

Irene sighed.

 

What? It was just Seulbear...

 

"I just called to inform you my new number."

 

"And you scared the hell out of me! Why was this white thing floating around on my screen and all I heard was noise. Eerie noise, Seulgi!" Irene lashed out. "I’m so traumatized since last night!"

 

"Oh my god you grandma! I had a face mask on and my room, as always, was in dim lightning!" Seulgi laughed. "I didn’t have earphones on so I guess the audio was like ."

 

" you Seulgi, for scaring me and laughing at me." Irene blew air upwards, messing uo her fringe.

 

"If you are that sca-"

 

Irene screamed.

 

There he was again. This time, standing at Irene’s porch.

 

Irene saw his strength and she obviously knew her door wasn’t the safest barrier against him.

 

"What?"

 

"I-It’s him!" Irene shouted into her phone.

 

The door creaked open. 

 

Irene didn’t even want to know how he did it. All that was in her mind were ways to survive tonight.

 

"You !" 

 

The man flew forth, nearly hitting the clothes hanger.

 

Seulgi had manage to catch him off guard and kick from behind.

 

"Seulgi." The man growled.

 

"Why! It’s always you and Seungwan getting in my way!" Heechul grumbled. "But without her, you can’t take me, Seulgi!"

 

He roared in laughter.

 

"Not so fast!" 

 

Irene was relieved to see the black figure once again.

 

Oh how much had she wanted to tell her...

 

To hold her...

 

To kiss her...

 

Wait what? 

 

Am I... in love?

I wasn’t supposed to update this today... but I can’t resist PeterPan99 shoving Wendy’s puppy eyes in my face and like some of you wanted to find out... so here it is. But the next chapter might take me longer to update haha! Till then :)
