This is how Cho Kyuhyun and Lee Sungmin’s love story begins…

 

*Seoul National Medical Center*

 

Sungmin softly knocks on the door before sliding it carefully. She takes a peek and saw her best friend lying on the hospital bed, sleeping peacefully. Sungmin quietly enters the room, dragging her pink luggage carefully, avoiding making some noise that will wake her sleeping best friend. Sungmin slowly walks towards the sleeping creature and stares at him for the meantime.

“Seriously…”

Sungmin sighs sadly and puts her pink luggage at the corner. Sungmin suddenly had goose bumps upon seeing her best friend’s IV. Sungmin feels so scared whenever she will set her feet at a hospital because she’s really afraid of those needles, blood and other medical equipments. She already feels sick just by thinking about hospital because for her, being inside the hospital is a torture and she really hates pain.

“Why do I need to be here? Why do you need to be sick huh?”

Sungmin asks her sleeping best friend. She doesn’t have any choice but to go straight at Seoul National Medical Center upon knowing that her best friend has been admitted there because of over fatigue, too much stress and dehydration. Sungmin sighs sadly. She removes her six inches light blue peep toe sling back pumps and sits on the couch in an Indian sit position. She opens her Chanel pink caviar leather tote bag and gets a thick book about planning a wedding. Sungmin was reading it quietly when she hears someone calling her.

“Minnie…”

Sungmin hears a soft voice. She raises her head and found her best friend looking at her.

“Aigoo!”

Sungmin’s eyes widened.

“Did I wake you Jongwoonie?”

Sungmin asks worriedly. Jongwoon shook his head and smiles weakly at her.

“What are you doing here?”

Jongwoon asks, feeling a bit weak. Sungmin pouts.

“I’m the one who supposed to ask you that. What on earth are you doing here at the hospital? Aish! I told you that I’m going to have vacation here in Seoul, right?”

Sungmin told her best friend, reminding him about her vacation in Seoul South Korea. Jongwoon raises an eyebrow.

“Vacation? Excuse me my dear Lee Sungmin. You’re not here for vacation. You’re here because of your work”

Jongwoon told his best friend weakly, reminding her the reason why she needs to be in Seoul.

“That’s still the same. I’m going to stroll around Seoul after that wedding”

Sungmin told Jongwoon before shaking her head.

“I just can’t understand why the couple wants to get married here when they can do it in New York”

“Come on Minnie. You’re a wedding planner, so you don’t have the right to complain if that’s what your client wants”

Jongwoon told his best friend. Sungmin sighs.

“What happen to you? Why are you here? Is flying an airplane really stressful?”

Sungmin asks. She stands up and sits beside Jongwoon.

“You’re not taking care of yourself”

Sungmin told Jongwoon as she his hair gently.

“I can’t understand why you need to stay here in Seoul when you can stay in New York”

“I have a house here Minnie”

“At least you wouldn’t miss me that much baby”

Sungmin told his best friend, teasing him by calling him “baby”. She hugs Jongwoon sweetly.

“Baby? I told you not to call me that because I’m not a baby anymore. It doesn’t suit me ok”

“Oh come on Jongwoonie! I know you like it and beside you always love to be treated like a baby”

Sungmin told Jongwoon, teasing him happily. Jongwoon flashes a weak smile.

“Ha! Guess who’s talking?”

Jongwoon told Sungmin who suddenly flashes an evil smile. She sits on the bed and pinches Jongwoon’s nose.

“OUCH!”

Jongwoon shouts. Sungmin let go of Jongwoon’s nose and starts laughing. Jongwoon frowns while rubbing his nose.

“Seriously, is that the way you should take care of a sick person?”

Jongwoon asks, frowning at Sungmin who is still laughing beside him.

“I just miss you so much. It’s been ages since we last saw each other. That’s why I keep on telling you to stay in New York”

Sungmin told her best friend. Jongwoon shook his head.

“I still love Seoul”

“Oh really or you just have a special someone here that’s why you don’t want to go back in New York huh?”

Sungmin teases Jongwoon who just blushes a little.

“I knew it Kim Jongwoon. I’m starting to get jealous now”

Sungmin told Jongwoon, pretending to be jealous. Jongwoon laughs at her.

“Stop being a , will you?”

Jongwoon teases his best friend, earning a soft slap on his cheek.

“Yah! Did you just go here to make me as your punching bag? Let me guess my dear bunny. You and Max of yours are already over, right?”

“Do you want me to kill you?”

“It’s ok to cry”

Jongwoon told his best friend. Sungmin lay down beside Jongwoon and hugs him.

“I knew it. What happen?”

Jongwoon asks. He was shock when Sungmin starts crying like a brat girl who fails to get what she wants.

“I just don’t understand it Jongwoonie. He’s such a ing playboy. He exchanges me to other woman”

“A third party huh?”

Jongwoon asks. Sungmin nods sadly. She wipes her tears and looks at Jongwoon.

“You should punch him for me”

“I don’t need to do that because I know that you already hit him with your nunchucks”

“Pabo! Well, I’m already recovering from my emotional stress little by little. It’s been two months since Max and I ended our relationship”

Sungmin informs her best friend. Jongwoon laughs softy and gently pinches Sungmin’s nose before hugging her.

“Don’t worry baby. When I already recover my strength then I’ll fly in New York to kick that bastard’s for you”

“And now you’re calling me baby. You miss me, don’t you?”

Sungmin asks. She buries her beautiful face on Jongwoon’s chest, enjoying his warm and sweet embrace.

“Of course I miss you. I miss you so much and it’s good to see you Minnie”

Jongwoon told Sungmin, cuddling her in his arms.

“The word baby only suits you because you never mature Minnie. You’re still a baby and I bet that’s the reason why Max exchanges you to other woman”

“!”

Sungmin playfully poke Jongwoon’s chest.

“You supposed to be comforting me”

“That’s what I’m doing. I know that a simple hug from me will make you feel better”

Jongwoon told Sungmin, making her smile and feels calm.

“So, tell me Captain Jongwoonie. Who is this girl that you’re talking about awhile ago?”

Sungmin asks while enjoying Jongwoon’s warm arms around her. Jongwoon rests his chin on Sungmin’s head.

“She’s an intern. I met her in a seminar for pilots and flight attendants”

“What’s her name?”

Sungmin asks curiously. Jongwoon shook his head.

“I don’t know”

“What?”

Sungmin looks at her best friend, controlling her laughter.

“What the hell is that Jongwoonie? You didn’t even see her name tag or something?”

Sungmin asks. Jongwoon nods.

“Yes and…”

Jongwoon suddenly blushes.

“I was too busy staring at her face ok. She’s so beautiful and looks so innocent”

“You didn’t even get her number or something?”

Sungmin asks, feeling happy to see her best friend blushing. She is happy to know that Jongwoon is in love with someone. Jongwoon shook his head.

“I’m not good in girls and that’s the reason why I’m still single and you know that and girls always dump me that’s why I’m too afraid to court a girl again”

“You’re just too slow my dear Captain. I bet your turtles are faster than you”

Sungmin laughs softly. Jongwoon notices his best friend’s luggage at the corner.

“How did you get here?”

Jongwoon asks.

“I take a cab. I was waiting for you to fetch me at the airport, but you didn’t even appear. I call your house and the maid told me that you’re here for almost three days because you’re sick. So, I just take a cab and told the driver to drop me here”

“It’s good that you didn’t get lost”

“Why will I get lost huh? Don’t treat me like a foreigner Jongwoonie. I just grow up in New York, but I’m still Korean and this is not my first time going here ok”

“I know. I’m just worried because I supposed to fetch you. I’m really sorry. But I won’t stay here for a long time. It’s just for a week then maybe we can enjoy your so-called vacation here in Seoul”

“You don’t have a flight?”

Sungmin asks. Jongwoon shook his head

“I’m on leave for two months since you’re going to stay here for awhile. How long are you going to stay here?”

Jongwoon asks.

“Three months”

Sungmin happily answers while showing three fingers to Jongwoon.

“Maybe I should just call the office and tell them that I will be having a leave for three months, so I can accompany you”

Jongwoon told his best friend. Sungmin shook her head.

“It’s ok Jongwoonie. Two months being with you is enough for me. Just don’t kick me out in your house when you start working again”

Sungmin happily told Jongwoon who flicks her forehead.

“Pabo! Why will I do that? Of course you can stay in my house as long as you want. When you go back in New York, please tell mommy and daddy that I’ll visit them on holidays”

“Arasso. They really miss you so much”

“Miss me? I don’t think so since they are both busy with their companies”

Jongwoon sighs. They heard a knock on the door. Jongwoon’s doctor enters the room with a nurse. Sungmin quickly sits on the bed upon seeing Jongwoon’s doctor who stares at her.

“It’s not what you’re thinking ok…”

Sungmin speaks, trying to explain. The doctor stares at Sungmin who is speaking in English.

“Jongwoonie and I are just having a cuddling time”

Sungmin explains. She stares at the doctor who is also staring at her. Sungmin holds her lips.

“Aigoo! I’m sorry. I forgot that I’m in Seoul”

Sungmin told the doctor in Korean. The doctor nods at her.

“It’s ok. I can understand and speak English”

The doctor told Sungmin in English. Sungmin just nods at him. Sungmin’s heart suddenly jumps when she saw the nurse holding a syringe.

“Oh my God! I think I’m going to die. Can I just go out of the room for the meantime? I’m really scared of that thing”

Sungmin points her finger on the syringe that the nurse was holding. She quickly jumps off of the bed, wears her shoes and runs outside before she can witness the nurse injecting something on Jongwoon. Sungmin sits on the bench outside Jongwoon’s room.

“For how long do I need to stay here?”

Sungmin asks herself nervously

“I just can’t leave Jongwoonie alone. Someone must take care of him. I should really think that he should get his self a girlfriend, so someone will take care of him”

Sungmin suddenly laughs softly.

“Maybe I should hold an audition in search for Jongwoonie’s girlfriend. That will be perfect”

Sungmin shook her head while laughing softly.

“But I bet Jongwoonie will just get mad at me. Seriously, when will that boy ever find his Princess?”

Sungmin sighs. She stares at the door when she hears someone opens it. The nurse went out and bows at her before walking away.

“I think it’s already safe for me to go back inside the room”

Sungmin whispers. She stands up and was about to open the door when someone opens it. Sungmin jumps upon seeing Jongwoon’s doctor.

“Aigoo!”

Sungmin holds her chest, feeling her heart beat. The doctor smiles at her.

“Sorry, did I scare you Miss American Lady?”

The doctor asks Sungmin in English. Sungmin raises an eyebrow while staring at Jongwoon’s doctor.

“American Lady? I’m Korean ok”

Sungmin pouts while staring at the tall doctor who is smiling at her.

“You’re handsome, but you look a bit evil to me”

Sungmin whispers.

“Excuse me? Are you saying something?”

“Oh!”

Sungmin shook her head and smile.

“Ah…how’s Jongwoonie?”

Sungmin asks

“He’s fine now compare before when his maid rushed him here. He just needs to stay for two more days for observation”

The doctor informs Sungmin who slowly nods her head.

“Thank you doctor…”

Sungmin looks at the doctor’s ID and smiles at him.

“Thank you Doctor Cho Kyuhyun”

Sungmin bows at him before going back inside Jongwoon’s room.

“I really think that she looks like a lost bunny”

Kyuhyun told his self. He flashes a smile as he walks at the hallway.

Sungmin was sitting on the couch in an Indian sit position while holding her ipad. She was busy doing some wedding plans for her other clients. Jongwoon looks at her while eating his dinner.

“What are you doing Minnie?”

Jongwoon asks curiously while staring at his best friend’s serious expression.

“Some wedding plans for my other clients. I’m going to discuss these plans with them when I return in New York after Mr. Lee’s wedding”

Sungmin answers Jongwoon without looking at him.

“This is so stressful. I can’t believe that being a wedding planner is such a stressful job. I don’t even have time to go at the spa and relax or have a vacation. Mom and dad keeps on nagging about it. They want us to have vacation in Japan. But I just don’t have time”

Sungmin shook her head.

“I can’t believe that there are a lot of people who want to get married”

Sungmin looks at Jongwoon.

“Do I look old already? I’m really worried about my physical appearance. I think I start having some wrinkles because of stress”

Sungmin told her best friend, worrying about her looks. Jongwoon laughs softly.

“To tell you honestly, you don’t look like a twenty one year old lady. You look like a lost kid or should I say a lost bunny? Don’t worry too much because you’re still beautiful. Why don’t you just plan your own wedding huh?”

Jongwoon asks. Sungmin suddenly laughs.

“Are you insane? Why will I do that? I don’t even have a groom. I thought it’s going to be Max, but I was damn wrong. He exchanges me to other woman and I can’t understand why. That’s why I keep on thinking if I already lose my beauty and charm that’s why Max looks on other girl’s ”

Sungmin sighs sadly. Jongwoon shook his head.

“Don’t be sad Minnie. There are a lot of men out there and you’re still young. You can still meet a lot of men and beside, you don’t deserve a man like Max because you’re too good and sweet for him. Maybe you can try seducing my doctor”

Jongwoon told Sungmin, teasing her. Sungmin raises an eyebrow.

“I’m talking about Doctor Cho”

Jongwoon told his best friend. Sungmin’s eyebrows furrowed. Jongwoon laughs.

“I just had this feeling that he likes you”

Jongwoon happily told Sungmin who just stares at him blankly.

“He asks me something awhile ago when you go out because you’re afraid of the syringe that my nurse was holding. He asks me if you’re my girlfriend”

“What is your answer?”

Sungmin asks curiously. Jongwoon smiles at Sungmin.

“And what’s the meaning of that? Don’t tell me that you tell your doctor that I am really your girl”

Sungmin told Jongwoon who shook his head.

“I just smile at him. Ha! Let him think if that’s a yes or no”

“Kim Jongwoon, will you please stop being weird? How can you think that Doctor Cho like me huh? How can that happen if we just met awhile ago?”

Sungmin asks, thinking that her best friend is being weird again.

“Love at first sight”

Jongwoon answers happily.

“Love at first sight? Do you still believe at love at first sight? That was silly”

Sungmin told Jongwoon while slowly shaking her head.

“Love at first sight is real. You just need to believe on it Minnie”

Jongwoon told Sungmin because he always believes in ‘love at first sight’ and he wants to prove that it’s real. Sungmin rolls her eyes.

“Never”

Sungmin just smiles and focuses her attention back on her ipad when someone knocks on the door. Jongwoon looks at the door. Kyuhyun went inside to have last rounds before going home.

“How are you?”

Kyuhyun asks Jongwoon who smiles brightly when he notices Kyuhyun staring at Sungmin who is busy with her ipad, ignoring the presence of Kyuhyun. Jongwoon coughs to catch his doctor’s attention. Kyuhyun looks at him.

“I’m fine doctor. Can I just go home tomorrow? I’m already bored here in the hospital”

Jongwoon told his doctor. Kyuhyun shook his head as an answer, making Jongwoon pouts like a kid.

“Why not? I’m already fine, right?”

Jongwoon asks. Kyuhyun nods at his patient.

“But it doesn’t mean that we need to let you go home that fast. We still need to observe for two days before we let you go home”

Kyuhyun explains. He listens to Jongwoon’s heart, lungs, stomach and blood flow with his stethoscope.

“We still need to continue Intravenous hydration. We will still give you calcium bicarbonate and calcium gluconate. We will still observe for two days. If your electrolytes will not drop then we can send you home. Are you still experiencing muscle pains?”

Kyuhyun asks with concern. Jongwoon nods.

"A little, but I already drink pain killer awhile ago”

Jongwoon informs his doctor. Kyuhyun nods.

“So, I’ll just go back tomorrow”

Kyuhyun told Jongwoon who smiles inwardly because he notices Kyuhyun staring at Sungmin again.

“Is your girlfriend going to stay here tonight?”

Kyuhyun asks Jongwoon while staring at Sungmin who suddenly raises her head upon hearing Kyuhyun’s question. She looks at Kyuhyun who is also looking at her.

“Are you talking about me? Do you really think that I can’t understand Korean language? I actually understand every single thing that you say to Jongwoonie”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun, raising an eyebrow. She’s speaking in English again. Kyuhyun nods at her.

“Miss American Lady, are you going to stay here and watch over your boyfriend?”

Kyuhyun asks in English. Sungmin shook her head.

“I’ll leave later. Why?”

Sungmin asks curiously, still raising an eyebrow. Kyuhyun shook his head.

“It’s just that nobody will watch over Mr. Kim if you’ll go home tonight”

“Don’t worry about Jongwoonie. He’ll be fine and he can take care of his self. Don’t worry doctor because I’ll be back tomorrow after my meeting with my client. Don’t miss me that much, arasso?”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun, teasing him. Kyuhyun just coughs and looks at Jongwoon.

“I’ll see you tomorrow. Your nurse will be here later to give you some medicine. Rest well, so you can already go home soon”

Kyuhyun told Jongwoon.

“Thanks doctor”

Jongwoon told Kyuhyun, thanking him. Kyuhyun nods. He turns his back and starts walking towards the door.

“Aren’t you going to say good bye to me?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun sighs and went out of the room, ignoring Sungmin.

“Hey innocent bunny. Stop being a , will you?”

Jongwoon teases Sungmin who pouts at him.

“!”

Sungmin sticks her tongue out and saves her work. She puts her ipad back inside her tote bag and looks at her jelly pink wrist watch.

“I think I should go to your house now”

Sungmin told her best friend. Jongwoon nods at Sungmin who wears her shoes before standing.

“Are you sure that you’re going to be fine? I can stay if you want”

Sungmin told Jongwoon, giving him a worried glare. Jongwoon flashes a weak smile.

“I’m not a kid anymore. I’ll just see you tomorrow. You go to my house now and take a rest. Are you going to be fine? Are you not going to get lost or something? I can call my secretary to fetch you here and drop you at home”

Jongwoon told Sungmin who smiles at him.

“Don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine. It’s pretty late and I don’t want to disturb other people. I can take the cab. See you tomorrow baby”

Sungmin happily told Jongwoon. She laughs when Jongwoon frowns.

“I told you not to call me baby”

Jongwoon told his best friend, pouting at her. Sungmin leans her face closer to Jongwoon.

“But you’re my boyfriend right?”

Sungmin smiles and gives Jongwoon a quick peck on his cheek.

Jongwoon flicks Sungmin’s forehead

“”

Sungmin told Jongwoon before laughing softly. She walks towards her pink luggage.

“I’ll go now Jongwoonie. Don’t miss me that much. I’ll be back tomorrow”

Sungmin told her best friend. Jongwoon nods.

“You already know my address, right?”

“Yes baby”

Jongwoon smiles at Sungmin.

“Take care”

“You take care as well. Sleep after drinking your medicine. Have a lot of rest so you can already go home soon and we can already have a party”

Sungmin waves her hand and happily leaves Jongwoon’s room, dragging her pink luggage with her. She was slowly walking at the hallway while thinking on how to go at Jongwoon’s house.

“OMO! This is the first time that I’m going at Jongwoonie’s house. The last time that I visit Seoul, I stay at Shilla Hotel because Jongwoonie has a flight”

Sungmin stops walking. She gets her mobile phone inside her tote bag and scans her contacts. She looks at Jongwoon’s contact details.

“I’m wise enough to put Jongwoonie’s address here. Maybe I can just tell the taxi driver to drop me here”

Sungmin told herself. She smiles brightly and returns her mobile phone inside her tote bag. She holds her pink luggage and was about to walk when someone stands beside her.

“Are you going home now Miss American Lady?”

Sungmin looks at the owner of the voice. Kyuhyun was smiling at her. Sungmin nods.

“Take care”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin before walking away.

“WAIT!”

Sungmin shouts. Kyuhyun stops walking. He turns around and found Sungmin running towards him, dragging her pink luggage.

“Is there something wrong Miss American Lady?”

Kyuhyun asks curiously. Sungmin takes a deep breath.

“Can I ask for a small favor?”

Sungmin asks, flashing her puppy eyes.

“It depends…what kind of favor is it?”

Kyuhyun asks while staring at Sungmin.

“Ah…”

Sungmin gets her mobile phone inside her tote bag and shows Jongwoon’s address to Kyuhyun.

“How do I go here?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun stares at Sungmin. He raises an eyebrow.

“I thought you’re a Korean? How come you don’t know how to go to Incheon?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin smiles weakly.

“I’m Korean, but I grow up in New York. This is my second time going here in Seoul. But I’m not really that familiar in here. Please tell me how to go there. I really don’t know. Do you think if I ask the taxi driver to drop me there, he will really drop me directly at Jongwoonie’s house?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun didn’t answer. He just looks at Sungmin.

“Ah…it’s ok if you don’t want to help me. I think I’ll just take a cab and ask the driver to drop me there. Thanks for the time Doctor Cho”

Sungmin smiles and bows at Kyuhyun before walking away. Kyuhyun sighs and follows her from behind. He catches Sungmin before she can go far away. Sungmin looks at Kyuhyun who is holding her left wrist.

“Let me guess. Are you going to tell me now on how to go there?”

Sungmin asks while smiling. Kyuhyun shook his head, making Sungmin pouts. Kyuhyun’s heart starts beating fast because of Sungmin’s cuteness. He stares at her while controlling his self not to blush.

“I’m not going to tell you on how to go there. I’m going to offer you a ride. Is it ok with you?”

“You’re going to drop me there?”

Sungmin asks curiously. Kyuhyun nods.

“If you will agree. Don’t worry because I’m not a bad guy. I won’t hurt a lost bunny like you. It’s just that I want to make sure that you will arrive there safe”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin before smiling at her. Sungmin smiles brightly and happily claps her hands like a kid.

“Thank you so much. Can we go now Doctor Cho?”

“Arasso”

Kyuhyun gets Sungmin’s luggage away from her hand.

“Let me help you”

Kyuhyun smiles at Sungmin and starts walking.

“This is getting interesting Lee Sungmin”

Sungmin told herself. She giggles happily and starts walking to follow Kyuhyun. They went at the parking lot. Kyuhyun puts Sungmin’s luggage inside the trunk before walking towards the front seat. Kyuhyun opens the door for Sungmin.

“Thank you”

Sungmin went inside. Kyuhyun gently closes the door and runs towards the driver’s seat and quickly go inside his car. He wears his seatbelt and starts the engine. Kyuhyun looks at Sungmin who is staring happily on the window.

“Ah, Miss American Lady”

Kyuhyun calls Sungmin’s attention. Sungmin looks at him.

“Yes?”

“Do you want to have coffee first before I drop you to Incheon?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin smiles and nods at Kyuhyun.

“Let’s go?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin nods again. Kyuhyun smiles and starts driving his car.

*COFFEE LAB*

 

The cashier was staring blankly at Kyuhyun and Sungmin as they fight over on who will pay the bill.

“Just let me pay our bill. It’s my treat because you gave me a ride. It’s ok Doctor Cho. It’s one way of saying my gratitude towards you”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun who shook his head.

“It’s my treat because I’m the man here. I don’t allow woman to pay my meal”

“It’s just a coffee. Come on”

Sungmin insists, but Kyuhyun shook his head again.

“No”

Kyuhyun gives his money to the cashier. Sungmin frowns at him.

“I hate you”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun before walking away. She looks around, finding a good place to sit. Sungmin found the table at the corner. She smiles brightly and walks towards the direction of the table. Sungmin sits happily on the couch. Kyuhyun follows her after paying the bill. He sits on the other couch, facing Sungmin. The waiter puts their orders on the table. He bows at them before walking away. Kyuhyun takes a sip on his Café Americano while staring at Sungmin who is enjoying her Black Midnight Cake. Kyuhyun puts down his cup of Café Americano on the saucer. Sungmin stops chewing when Kyuhyun wipes the icing on the side of her lips with his thumb. Sungmin blushes a little when Kyuhyun sends his thumb in his mouth, the icing on it.

“You eat like a kid”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin before taking a sip on his Café Americano. Sungmin grabs her Cherry Blossom tea and takes a sip while staring at the window.

“So, why are you here in Seoul?”

Kyuhyun asks, starting a conversation with Sungmin who is staring at the window, avoiding him.

“Are you here for vacation or was it because your boyfriend is sick?”

Kyuhyun asks curiously. He’s really curious if Sungmin is really Jongwoon’s girlfriend. Sungmin shook her head. She puts down her cup of Cherry Blossom tea on the saucer and looks at Kyuhyun.

“I’m here for work. My client wants to have his wedding here in Seoul. That’s what his parents and in-laws want”

“You’re a wedding planner?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin nods.

“Why?”

Sungmin asks curiously. Kyuhyun just shook his head.

“I’ll meet the couple tomorrow and they will accompany me at the venue of their wedding and their reception, so I can already finalize all the plans for their wedding”

“For how long are you going to stay here?”

“Three months. I’ll go back in New York after the wedding of my client”

“You’re invited to their wedding?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin nods.

“I’m still thinking if I will attend or not”

“Why not?”

“Well…”

Sungmin sighs.

“You see. I also want to be a bride someday. I envy those brides who are walking on the aisle and marrying their Prince Charming. It’s a bit odd because I’m planning other people’s wedding while I can’t even plan my own wedding”

Sungmin explains.

“Why not ask your boyfriend to marry you?”

Kyuhyun asks, making Sungmin laugh. Kyuhyun raises an eyebrow.

“What’s funny? I’m just giving you a suggestion. Since you want to be a bride soon then asks your boyfriend to marry you. In that way, you wouldn’t envy those girls who are walking on the aisle as a bride and marrying their Prince Charming and you can already plan your own wedding”

Kyuhyun explains. Sungmin smiles at him.

“Do you really think that Jongwoonie is my boyfriend?”

Sungmin asks happily.

“Isn’t he?”

Kyuhyun asks, giving Sungmin a curious look. Sungmin shook her head. Kyuhyun’s eyes widened

“For real?”

Kyuhyun asks with shock expression. Sungmin answers him with a nod.

“Jongwoonie and I are best of friends. We grow up together”

“Do best friends hug each other like that?”

Kyuhyun asks, still can’t believe that Sungmin is not really his patient’s girlfriend. Sungmin nods.

“He’s like my older brother. He’s twenty four years old and a pilot. Our families are really close to each other. He also grows up in New York, but he studies college in Melbourne. They own the Kim Aviation and the South Korea Airlines. He’s currently staying here in Seoul. I ask him to go back in New York, but he doesn’t want. It’s been ages since we last saw each other. I think the last time that we met is during my graduation in college”

“How old are you then?”

“I’m twenty one years old”

Sungmin answers happily. Kyuhyun nods.

“You’re still young to be a bride. I mean, you still can find a lot of men. So you don’t need to be in a hurry”

“How about you? How old are you?”

Sungmin asks.

“Same age as your best friend”

Sungmin’s eyes grow big.

“And you’re already a doctor?”

Sungmin asks, feeling shock. Kyuhyun nods.

“Yes. I’m a genius that’s why”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin while flashing a proud smile.

“Yeah right”

Sungmin smiles and takes a sip on her Cherry Blossom tea.

“You don’t have a boyfriend?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin shook her head to answer Kyuhyun’s question. She puts back her cup of tea on the saucer.

“It’s been two months since we broke up”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun sadly.

“Sorry to hear that”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin in an apologetic manner. Sungmin nods and continues eating her cake.

“You don’t have any plans on looking for a new boyfriend?”

Kyuhyun asks while smiling. Sungmin looks at Kyuhyun curiously.

“Please don’t get me wrong. I’m just asking. I mean, you’re beautiful and you can easily find a boyfriend”

“But the problem is they always leave me”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun sadly before clearing .

“And I’m not yet available for that”

Kyuhyun raises an eyebrow.

“Oh really?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin nods at him.

“Because I’m following the three months rule”

Sungmin explains. Kyuhyun suddenly laughs upon hearing Sungmin.

“You believe on that ing relationship rule? That was silly. You can forget your ex after one month and a half. You don’t need to mourn for three months over your break up with your ex”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who shook her head.

“You’re a man and that’s why you can say that. But for us girls, we need a lot of time to forget our ex, especially if they ing cheated on us”

“Judging by the way you speak. I’m assuming that your boyfriend exchanges you to other woman. You sound so bitter you know”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who nods sadly at him.

“What’s the reason?”

Kyuhyun asks curiously, wondering why Sungmin’s boyfriend exchanges her to other woman. Sungmin shook her head.

“I don’t know. He just told me that he’s already tired of me. He told me that he’s breaking up with me because he already found someone who is better than me”

“Is he your first boyfriend?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin shook her head.

“He’s third…the third man who breaks my heart into pieces. He’s the third man who exchanges me to other woman.”

“Meaning to say, all your boyfriends left you because of other woman?”

Kyuhyun asks Sungmin before taking a sip on his coffee. Sungmin nods.

“But why? If I’m the man, I’m not going to exchange you to other woman. Those men supposed to be thankful for having a girl like you”

“Maybe those men are really not meant for me”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun. She looks at the window and continues drinking her Cherry Blossom tea. Kyuhyun’s mobile phone rings. He gets it inside his pocket and stares at the caller’s name. Kyuhyun rejects the call and puts his mobile phone on top of the table. Kyuhyun puts down his cup of Café Americano on the saucer when his mobile phone starts ringing again. Kyuhyun rejects the call again and puts his mobile phone in silent mode.

“Why don’t you answer it? It might be important”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun who shook his head.

“It’s nothing. Don’t mind it”

Kyuhyun smiles at Sungmin before taking a sip on his Café Americano. Sungmin just nods her head and continues eating her cake while enjoying the company of Kyuhyun.

Kyuhyun drops Sungmin at Jongwoon’s house.

“We’re here”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who looks at him and smiles.

“Thanks for dropping me at my best friend’s house. I’ll be staying here for three months”

Sungmin informs Kyuhyun

“What the hell is that Lee Sungmin? Why do you need to inform him that you will stay at Jongwoonie’s house for three months? It’s not like he will visit you during his day off or free time. He doesn’t even care about you ok”

Sungmin told herself while staring at Kyuhyun.

“Ah, do you want to go inside?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun shook his head.

“No thanks. I should go home now because I’m still going to review some medical records of my other patients. I also need to study and I should go back at the hospital tomorrow at four in the morning”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who nods at him.

“Well, see you tomorrow?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun nods at her.

“See you tomorrow”

“Thanks for dropping me”

Sungmin takes off her seatbelt and moves closer to Kyuhyun. She holds Kyuhyun’s gorgeous face between her hands. Kyuhyun didn’t protest.

“Thank you Doctor Cho”

Sungmin leans forward and kisses Kyuhyun’s lips. She was shock when Kyuhyun responded to the kiss. Sungmin quickly pulls back before their kiss becomes passionate. Kyuhyun looks at Sungmin who is blushing because of embarrassment.

“Why did you pull back? Are you afraid of me?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin shook her head.

“Thanks for dropping me. Good night and drive safely”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun without looking at him. She quickly goes out of Kyuhyun’s car. She walks towards the gate.

“! What am I doing? Why am I flirting with that Doctor?”

Sungmin asks herself before pressing the doorbell. She suddenly jumps upon seeing Kyuhyun standing beside her.

“Aigoo!”

Sungmin holds her chest.

“You scared me!”

Sungmin frowns. Kyuhyun smiles at her.

“Sorry about that. I didn’t mean to scare you, but I think you forget something”

“What?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun places Sungmin’s pink luggage in front of her.

“Oh! Thank you”

Sungmin smiles weakly. She holds her pink luggage. The head maid went out of the house to open the gate. She bows at Sungmin.

“Hi Ms. Lee. It’s good to see you. Please come in”

The head maid told Sungmin happily. Sungmin looks at Kyuhyun.

“I’ll go inside now. Thanks again for dropping me and drive safely. See you tomorrow Doctor Cho. Good night”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun, blushing a little upon remembering their kiss. Kyuhyun nods and flashes a smile. Sungmin waves her hand before entering the gate. The head maid gets her luggage. She bows at Kyuhyun before closing the gate. Kyuhyun turns around and walks towards his car. He went inside his car and wears his seatbelt. He holds the steering wheel while thinking about something.

“! Why did you respond to her kiss Cho Kyuhyun? Don’t forget that you already have a fiancée and you guys are already planning to get married soon. Oh my goodness! That girl is a bit dangerous because she knows exactly how to seduce me and how to fall for her”

Kyuhyun told his self while shaking his head. He suddenly holds his lips and smiles.

“I want to feel those soft pinkish and very wonderful lips again. I’m going to make sure that I will capture her lips when we meet again”

Kyuhyun whispers. He takes a deep breath and starts driving his car.

NEXT DAY…

 

Sungmin was sitting quietly inside Namu, waiting for her clients to arrive. She was staring at the window while thinking about Kyuhyun and their kiss yesterday night.

“Doctor Cho is really mysterious. How can he act like that towards me when it’s only our first meeting? Is Jongwoonie right when he told me that he thinks Doctor Cho likes me?”

Sungmin asks herself. She shook her head.

“Of course Jongwoonie is just teasing me. He loves to play cupid because he’s a desperate man looking for love. Since he can’t find the right woman for him, he just hides his frustration by playing cupid to other people”

Sungmin nods her head. She holds her lips and smiles inwardly.

“His lips feel so good. I suddenly regret pulling back. I should have kissed him more when he responded to my kiss. Maybe Jongwoonie is right. Maybe Doctor Cho really likes me because he wouldn’t kiss back if he doesn’t like me, unless he’s such a ”

Sungmin sighs.

“I don’t want to assume because I don’t want to get hurt at the end. It will be great if he really likes me and I wouldn’t mind having a boyfriend like him. But still…I don’t want to assume and I’m not going to stay here in Seoul for a long time. I’m just here for work and after that, I’ll fly back to New York again. I’m sure that a busy man like him can’t handle a long distant relationship. We’re just going to break up that fast”

Sungmin suddenly hits her head.

“What the hell are you talking about Lee Sungmin? That doctor is not even courting you. Don’t forget that you’re the one who start it. You’re being a and I really can’t believe that you can flirt with him like that”

Sungmin told herself while shaking her head. She takes a deep breath and just stares at the window, trying to drift Kyuhyun away from her mind when her clients arrive.

“Good afternoon Ms. Lee”

Sungmin looks at the couple who are smiling at her.

“Sorry, we’re a bit late”

The soon to be bride told Sungmin.

“It’s ok. I didn’t wait that long. Please have a seat”

Sungmin told the couple who sit together on the couch. Sungmin gives them a white folder.

“That’s the draft for the flower arrangements at the venue of the wedding and reception. I’ll just change it later if I already saw the venue and of course it will still be base on your suggestions”

Sungmin told the couple who are happily staring at the sketch. The bride to be looks at Sungmin and flashes her gummy smile.

“Oh! This is perfect Ms. Lee”

“Just call me Minnie. I’m not used on hearing my clients calling me Ms. Lee”

Sungmin told the bride to be. She nods at her.

“No problem Minnie. If that’s the case, you can call me Hyukkie and you can also call my groom as Hae. No need to be formal”

The bride to be told Sungmin who nods at her. Donghae looks at Sungmin and smiles at her.

“We can go at the venue of the wedding and reception later after having our lunch”

Donghae told Sungmin who nods at him.

“And by the way Minnie…”

Donghae looks at his watch to check the time before speaking again.

“My friend will be here to join us with his fiancée. They are actually looking for a good wedding planner, so I told him to meet us here today. Maybe you can also be their wedding planner”

“No problem”

Sungmin smiles at Donghae.

“Oh! He’s here”

Donghae told Sungmin while staring at his handsome friend who arrives at the restaurant alone. Hyuk Jae looks at her husband to be.

“Where is Sooyoung?”

Hyuk Jae asks her fiancé. Donghae just shook his head.

“Sorry I’m late”

Donghae’s friend told him. Donghae smiles at him.

“It’s ok Kyu. We didn’t wait that long. Please have a seat”

Kyuhyun and Sungmin’s eyes grow big as they stare at each other.

“Hi Doctor Cho, what are you doing here?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun smiles at her and sits beside her.

“I’m here to meet a wedding planner. So, I guess it’s you?”

Kyuhyun asks, still shock to see Sungmin who is happily nodding at him.

“You have a fiancée?”

Sungmin asks, feeling a bit confused and hurt at the same time. She feels confused because she was surprised to know that Kyuhyun has a fiancée and that he’s getting married soon because he didn’t even tell it to her yesterday and she can’t understand why Kyuhyun kissed her yesterday if he already has a fiancée. She feels a little bit hurt because she really thought that Kyuhyun likes her. Kyuhyun smiles weakly and nods his head.

“But apparently she can’t join us today because she’s busy with her work. She has a meeting today. Maybe you guys can meet each other next week”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who just nods her head because she doesn’t know how to react on the shocking revelation. She just curses herself in her mind for kissing Kyuhyun and for being a flirt. Donghae coughs to catch Sungmin and Kyuhyun’s attention. They look at the couple who are staring at them curiously.

“You guys know each other?”

Donghae asks Kyuhyun curiously. Kyuhyun nods happily.

“I met this American Lady yesterday. Her best friend is actually my patient”

Kyuhyun told the couple happily. Donghae and Hyuk Jae nod at him.

“Minnie will help you and Sooyoung-ah in planning for your wedding. She’s a great wedding planner”

Hyuk Jae told Kyuhyun while smiling brightly. Kyuhyun looks at Sungmin who flashes a weak smile. Donghae claps his hands.

“Maybe we can eat our lunch now, so we can already go at the venue of the wedding and reception and you guys can already talk about the plans for your wedding”

Donghae told Kyuhyun and Sungmin who nod their heads. Donghae smiles and calls the waiter for their orders.

Sungmin was sitting quietly inside Kyuhyun’s car. She was staring at the window to avoid Kyuhyun because she really feels so embarrassed because of what she did yesterday.

“Aish! Why am I having a bad luck today? I’m so shy and I just don’t know how to face him and I also don’t know what to say. This is all your fault Lee Sungmin for being a flirt. Honestly, how can you flirt with a man you just met yesterday? You don’t even know each other that much. So what if Jongwoonie told you that he thinks that Doctor Cho likes you huh? It doesn’t mean that you need to flirt around like that. See what happen? It turns out that he has a fiancée. You’re really stupid Lee Sungmin. Super stupid”

Sungmin reprimanded herself in her mind. She sighs.

“I can’t understand why I need to ride with this doctor. Oh well! What can I say? I can’t complain because he’s the one who volunteers to hook me along since he brings his car with him”

Sungmin thought. Kyuhyun was driving quietly. He was following the car of Donghae. He stops the car when the traffic lights turn red. Kyuhyun looks at Sungmin.

“Are you ok?”

Kyuhyun asks, speaking in English. Sungmin nods without looking at him and without saying anything. She doesn’t know how to face Kyuhyun after what she did yesterday and after learning that he has a fiancée.

“Ah…are you thinking about what happen yesterday?”

Kyuhyun asks, making Sungmin blush because of embarrassment. Sungmin didn’t answer as she continues to avoid Kyuhyun. Her eyes are only focused on the window.

“Well…”

Kyuhyun stops talking when the traffic lights turn green. He just sighs and starts driving his car again. Kyuhyun’s mobile phone suddenly rings. He presses the answer button on the steering wheel to answer the call.

“Yeoboseo”

“Baby”

Sungmin hears a sweet voice of a woman and she thinks that it’s Kyuhyun’s fiancée because she just calls him ‘baby’

“Yes baby?”

“Where are you?”

The girl asks.

“I’m currently driving my car. I’m on my way at JW Marriot Hotel to accompany Hae and Hyukkie at the venue of their wedding and reception. Why? Are you coming?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sooyoung shook her head.

“I still have a meeting later. I’m really sorry baby”

Sooyoung apologizes. Kyuhyun just nods.

“By the way Sooyoung baby…”

Kyuhyun looks at Sungmin who is still quiet while staring at the window.

“I’ve already found a wedding planner who will help us in planning our wedding. She’s Hae and Hyukkie’s wedding planner and she’s from New York. Maybe you can meet her next week. I’m going to talk to her later about our wedding”

Kyuhyun informs his fiancée. Sooyoung nods her head.

“I need to go now baby. My next meeting will start now. I’ll see you later at dinner, arasso? Umma and appa will expect you later”

Sooyoung told Kyuhyun who shook his head.

“I don’t know baby. I have a lot of patients and I have a meeting later at six in the evening because we’re going to discuss a very important surgery next week”

"Oh!”

Sooyoung sighs.

“Maybe I can just tell them that you can’t join dinner today. How about next week?”

Sooyoung asks.

“I’ll be available Wednesday next week. Is that ok?”

“But I need to stay in my office until twelve midnight on Wednesday next week”

Sooyoung informs Kyuhyun who sighs softly.

“Let’s just talk about it some other time. Just hang up now”

Kyuhyun told his fiancée, feeling a bit irritated. He presses the end call button on the steering wheel to hang up. Kyuhyun sighs.

“I can’t believe that girl is always busy”

Kyuhyun whispers.

“But you’re also busy, so you don’t have the right to complain”

Sungmin told him, speaking in English.

“Excuse me Miss American Lady. You know nothing, so please don’t in”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who looks at him. She raises an eyebrow.

“Why are you snobbish? Look, I’m not meddling on your business with your fiancée. I’m just telling you to understand and don’t complain because you’re also busy like her. You know? I seriously think that your relationship is a bit complicated”

“Complicated?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin nods.

“Because both of you are too busy with your own work. I mean, you guys should be planning your wedding together and not like this. You see. Marriage is one of the most wonderful events that a couple will experience. That’s why you need to be together in planning the wedding. I’ve witness a lot of couple planning their marriage together and for me it’s really priceless to see them happy together and enjoying every minute of planning their wedding together. It’s more romantic you know. So maybe, you guys can set aside your work first and focus more on planning your wedding. I’m just wondering if you guys are really ready for marriage”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun.

“And what do you mean by that? You’re being so talkative you know”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin, feeling irritated towards her.

“I’m not a kid for you to reprimand me. Sooyoung and I want to get married soon and it’s none of your business, arasso? Tell me Miss American Lady. Why are you telling me this huh? Was it because you like me and you expect me to fall for you and leave my fiancée? Is that what you want?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin’s blood suddenly boils upon hearing Kyuhyun.

“Excuse me? Do you really think that I’m a ? Why are you so arrogant? Look. I know what I did yesterday was really a ing and I shouldn’t do that on the first place. I’m sorry ok. It’s my fault for kissing you, but it’s also your fault because you kiss back”

“So?”

“What do you mean by so?”

Sungmin frowns hard.

“You’re such a ing playboy, don’t you know that? I mean, come on. You already have a fiancée then why did you kiss back?”

Sungmin asks, still frowning.

“Because you seduce me”

“But the point is, you shouldn’t kiss back. That’s cheating. If you really love your fiancée, no matter how hard I kiss you or seduce you or flirt with you, you will never fall on it and you will never entertain it. You’re such an !”

“Just shut up, will you?”

Kyuhyun frowns.

“If only I know that you have a fiancée then I wouldn’t do that”

“Shut up!”

Sungmin just frowns and focuses her eyes back on the window to avoid Kyuhyun.

Donghae stands beside Kyuhyun who is looking at Sungmin’s direction. He stares at his friend and notices him watching Sungmin who is walking at the garden of JW Marriott Hotel with Hyuk Jae.

“She will melt because of the way you look at her”

Donghae teases Kyuhyun, catching his attention. Kyuhyun shook his head and looks at Donghae.

“I’m just thinking about something”

“And what the hell is that? Was it about Sooyoung?”

Donghae asks curiously. Kyuhyun nods.

“You know Kyu? I think you and Sooyoung-ah needs to have a break in your work. Why not have vacation with her? It’s been ages since you last have vacation with her”

“She’s busy. I can always set my work aside, but she doesn’t want to leave her work. You see Hae. We’re supposed to be planning our wedding together, but look what is happening. I’m the only one who is planning the wedding”

“Can I ask something?”

Donghae asks. Kyuhyun nods.

“Are you sure that Sooyoung is ready for marriage?”

Donghae asks with concern because he thinks that Sooyoung is not really sure if she wants to marry Kyuhyun.

“She accepts my proposal and she’s the one who opens the topic about marriage. She’s the one who told me that she thinks that we should get married soon. Why?”

Kyuhyun asks. Donghae shook his head.

“Well, I’m just thinking. If she really wants to marry you then how come you’re the only one who is planning everything? I understand that both of you are busy. But at least you have time in preparing and planning about the wedding unlike her. Take note Kyu. She’s the girl here and she should be the one giving a lot of effort in planning the wedding and beside this is not the first time that you guys attempt to plan your wedding. You’ve done it twice before, but you always end up calling off the wedding because both of you are too busy in your own career and Sooyoung is always busy by the time you guys will already meet the wedding planner. I think she wants to marry her career and not you”

Donghae told his friend while patting his shoulder. Kyuhyun sighs.

“I know. But this time she told me that she really wants to marry me. I understand that she’s busy this week. Maybe she can join me in planning our wedding next week”

Kyuhyun told Donghae, defending his fiancée. Donghae just nods his head.

“It’s up to you Kyu. It’s your life, not mine and you’re the one who’s going to marry a very busy girl. Maybe you can think about it first. Don’t get me wrong Kyu. I have nothing against Sooyoung. She’s sweet, beautiful, nice and very loving girl, but the problem is, she values her career more than your relationship. Do you want to marry a girl who only thinks about her career? You need a wife and not a working girl. That’s what your mom keeps on telling you. But if you really want Sooyoung to be your wife and you’re really sure of it then go for the goal”

Donghae sighs.

“Well anyway, what do you think about the wedding planner?”

Donghae asks while staring at Sungmin.

“She’s so talkative”

Kyuhyun answers. Donghae laughs

“Of course she needs to be talkative. But I’m telling you Kyu. Minnie is really good. Trust me. Your wedding will be perfect because she really has a very bright idea”

“Seriously Hae, why do you and Hyukkie need to get married here in Seoul when you can always do it in New York? You guys live there”

“Our parents were the one who keep on nagging about it. Since Hyukkie and I are good kids then we just grant their wish and it’s not bad at all. At least, we can stroll around Seoul and you must be thankful because you’re not going to have a hard time going to New York just to attend the wedding rehearsals and the wedding itself”

Donghae explains. Kyuhyun just smirks at him. Donghae smiles as he stares at Hyuk Jae who is walking towards them with Sungmin.

“Honey”

Hyuk Jae flashes a bright smile.

“You guys are done finalizing everything?”

Donghae asks. Hyuk Jae nods happily as an answer.

“Minnie and I decided that we should go tomorrow at different flower boutiques to look for the flowers for our wedding and we should also plan for the wedding rehearsals tomorrow. Is that ok with you?”

Hyuk Jae asks. Donghae nods happily.

“Anything that you want is always fine with me honey. We’re going to follow everything that you want for our wedding because I want to give you the best wedding”

“Thank you”

Donghae kisses Hyuk Jae’s lips. Kyuhyun coughs.

“Ah, do you mind getting a room? It’s so awkward to see you kissing each other. For heaven’s sake, stop having a PDA in front of us! Have shame, will you?”

Kyuhyun told his friends while frowning at them. Donghae smiles and looks at Sungmin.

“So, we’re going to see you tomorrow”

Donghae told Sungmin who nods at him.

“Hyukkie and I will go ahead now. We still need to go somewhere. I’ll leave you with Kyu now, so you guys can already talk about his wedding”

Donghae told his wedding planner. Sungmin nods again. Donghae and Hyuk Jae smile at her.

“Thank you Minnie”

“You’re welcome”

Hyuk Jae hugs Sungmin

“See you tomorrow”

“See you tomorrow Hyukkie”

Sungmin smiles brightly at the couple. Donghae pats Kyuhyun’s shoulder and leaves the venue with Hyuk Jae. Kyuhyun looks at Sungmin who quickly looks on other direction, avoiding him.

“So, where do you want us to talk about my wedding? Do you want to have coffee or what?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin looks at him.

“Anything will do”

Sungmin answers in a soft voice. Kyuhyun nods.

“Arasso. I know where to go now”

Sungmin was shock when Kyuhyun holds her hand.

Kyuhyun was enjoying his cup of Café Americano when he notices Sungmin staring at him. Kyuhyun puts down his cup of coffee on the saucer and smiles at Sungmin.

“Is there something wrong on my gorgeous face? Why are you staring at me?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin shook her head.

“I’m just wondering. Do you really love coffee that much?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun nods.

“Why? Is there something wrong if I drink coffee?”

Kyuhyun asks while smiling at Sungmin.

“Too much caffeine is bad for the body and you should know that because you’re a doctor”

“Don’t worry because I only drink coffee whenever I’m thinking something”

“Like?”

Sungmin asks curiously.

“Things that are related to medicine”

“What kind of doctor are you?”

Sungmin asks before taking a sip on her milk tea.

“Internal medicine, but I’m currently studying Neurosurgery. So far, I’m already having my training and that’s the reason why I’m going to have a meeting later at six in the evening. We have a patient that will undergo a surgery next week because of a traumatic brain injury and we’re going to discuss about it later”

Kyuhyun informs Sungmin who just nods her head before staring at the window.

“What is your dream wedding?”

Kyuhyun asks Sungmin who stares at him blankly.

“I just want to know. I mean, you’re a wedding planner and of course you have your dream wedding. I just want to know what your point of view about marriage”

Kyuhyun explains before taking a sip on his coffee.

“Well…”

Sungmin smiles brightly.

“My dream wedding is actually a beach wedding. For me it’s more romantic”

“How can that be romantic?”

Kyuhyun asks, raising an eyebrow.

“Having a late afternoon beach wedding with a sunset finale is really great. It was really beautiful to watch the sunset and I think it will be romantic if you’re going to watch it with your other half. Tiki torch and candlelight reception will be perfect and beach is really lovely and beautiful at night. The sound of the water is really relaxing as well as the cold wind that blows softly and it will be great to have a stroll at the beach at nighttime. Maybe you and your fiancée can have a beach wedding. I’m telling you that it will be perfect”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun happily, giving him a suggestion for his wedding. Kyuhyun shook his head, making Sungmin pouts.

“Why not? I think that will be a best wedding”

“Sooyoung is not the kind of girl who will love a beach wedding. She always wants everything to be extravagant and elegant”

“Then have a formal beach wedding”

“She hates beach”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who just nods at him.

“Then what kind of wedding do you want? I mean, give me some idea of it”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun shook his head.

“I really don’t know. I can’t give you anything because I’m not the girl here. Of course my fiancée will be the one who will decide everything. That’s why I want you to meet her as soon as possible. But unfortunately, she’s always busy”

“Are you sure that she’s ready for marriage?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun just stares at her with a big question mark on his face, wondering what the question all about is.

“Well, don’t get me wrong ok. It’s got nothing to do about what happen yesterday. I’m just asking because if she really wants to be a bride soon then she should be busy planning the wedding and not busy with her work”

Sungmin explains, but Kyuhyun didn’t answer.

“Ah…I’m going to shut my mouth now”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun as she holds her lips.

“To tell you honestly Miss American Lady, I really don’t know if I still want to marry her”

“What do you mean?”

Sungmin asks curiously. Kyuhyun sighs heavily.

“She’s always busy with her work. There are times wherein we fought about it”

“Why? I mean, you shouldn’t complain because you’re both busy. Just think about it doctor. Is your fiancée complaining whenever you can’t give time to her?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun shook his head.

“Miss American Lady, I need a wife and not a working girl. We’re talking about marriage here. Let me ask you. If you’re a man, do you want your wife to give more attention on her work rather than you and your family?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin shook her head.

“Of course not”

“See? That’s what I’m trying to point out. It seems that she loves her work more than me. I’m not asking her to stop working or what. All I’m asking is for her to give time about this marriage thing. If she doesn’t want us to pursue this wedding then it’s fine with me. She can marry her work”

“Why don’t you talk to her and discuss this matter with her before you guys decide as to whether you will pursue the wedding or not and maybe if you guys already decided to pursue it then maybe that’s the time that we can already talk about the plan for your wedding. We will not be able to make a good plan and decision for your wedding if you’re stuck in this kind of situation”

Sungmin explains.

“Can we just stop talking about it? Honestly, I don’t have an energy talking about my wedding. It’s supposed to be happy, but I’m not happy because of my fiancée”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin while frowning. Sungmin nods.

“Maybe we can separate our ways now. I think I need to go back at the hospital now because Jongwoonie is alone. I need to watch over him and you might as well want to go back at the hospital because you still have a lot of patients to deal with”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun who stares at his watch.

“I think you’re right. I need to go back at the hospital now. Let’s go? You can ride with me since we’re going at the same hospital”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin, offering her a ride going to the hospital. Sungmin shook her head.

“No thanks. I need to go at the grocery store first because I need to buy some fruits for Jongwoonie”

“Then I’ll just accompany you”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin because he still wants to be with her. Sungmin shook her head again.

“No need. I can take care of myself and I want to stroll around Seoul before I go at the hospital”

Sungmin stands up.

“Are you sure that you’re not going to get lost? I’m worried about you”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin with worried voice. Sungmin shook her head and smiles brightly at Kyuhyun who blushes a little.

“Don’t worry about me. I’m old enough. I can take care of myself”

“But…”

Kyuhyun sighs.

“Arasso. Just take care and see you later when I visit your best friend in his room”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who nods her head happily.

“Drive safely and thanks for the milk tea”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun happily. She waves her hand and walks away, leaving the café. Kyuhyun stands up. He was about to leave the café when he saw a rosy pink notebook on the table. Kyuhyun gets it and scans the notebook that contains some sketches and plans for Hyuk Jae and Donghae’s wedding.

“Aigoo! She left it”

Kyuhyun quickly goes out of the café, hoping that he can catch Sungmin. But Sungmin is nowhere to be found.

“I think I should just return it to her later. Now, I have the reason to talk to her again”

Kyuhyun smiles and walks towards his car.

Jongwoon was happily eating the grapefruit that Sungmin bought for him.

“Minnie…”

Jongwoon looks at her best friend and notices her spacing out while quietly sitting on the couch. It seems that she’s thinking something so serious. Jongwoon takes a deep breath.

“LEE SUNGMIN!!!”

Jongwoon shouts, making Sungmin jumps.

“YAH!”

Sungmin frowns at Jongwoon. She holds her chest, feeling nervous.

“Why are you shouting at me? You scared me. Aish!”

Sungmin told her best friend, frowning at him. Jongwoon laughs at her.

“Baby, why are you spacing out? It seems that you’re thinking something so serious. Tell me baby. What is it? Don’t hide something from your boyfriend”

Jongwoon teases Sungmin, emphasizing the word ‘boyfriend’. Sungmin stands up and sits beside Jongwoon.

“Jongwoonie…”

“Hmmm?”

Sungmin hugs Jongwoon

“I have something to confess to you. It’s really serious and very embarrassing”

Sungmin told her best friend while burying her face on his chest. Jongwoon stops eating.

“Let me guess it for you my baby bunny. Was it about my doctor?”

Jongwoon asks curiously. Sungmin slowly raises her head and stares at Jongwoon with puppy eyes. Jongwoon flashes a smile.

“So, my guess is right?”

Jongwoon asks happily. Sungmin nods like a little kid. Jongwoon snaps his fingers.

“Ha! I’m really genius. Tell me baby bunny. Is Doctor Cho already courting you? I told you Minnie. Doctor Cho likes you and I really can feel it. I can sense that my doctor has a big HD on you”

“HD? High definition?”

Sungmin asks with confusion in her voice.

“Pabo!”

Jongwoon flicks Sungmin’s forehead.

“HD as in Hidden Desire, get that?”

Jongwoon told his best friend. Sungmin shook her head.

“I don’t think so Jongwoonie”

“Why not?”

“Because…”

Sungmin takes a deep breath.

“Let me tell you my dear best friend. Your guess is one hundred and one times one million percent wrong. As in super wrong”

Sungmin told Jongwoon who stares at her blankly while chewing the grapefruit in his mouth.

“Doctor Cho doesn’t like me”

“But I can feel it Minnie. I really think that Doctor Cho likes you”

“How sure are you?”

Sungmin asks. Jongwoon thinks for the meantime before answering his best friend

“One billion times the stars at the sky percent sure of it. Ha! You can’t beat that percentage lost baby bunny. You see…”

Jongwoon gets his pack of orange juice on the overbed table. He takes a sip using the straw before speaking again.

“Doctor Cho never ask about me having a girlfriend”

Jongwoon told Sungmin who raises an eyebrow.

“And what is that supposed to mean my dear Captain?”

Sungmin asks with confusion in her voice.

“Chullie noona went here on the day that I was admitted. Doctor Cho saw her, but he didn’t even ask whether Chullie noona is my girlfriend or not”

“Maybe she’s with Hannie oppa at that time, that’s why Doctor Cho didn’t bother asking you if she’s your girlfriend or not”

Sungmin told Jongwoon who shook his head.

“She’s with Jia and Sulli. But Doctor Cho didn’t even ask who among the girls is my girlfriend. He just ask that question when he saw you”

“That’s because we’re cuddling when he enters your room”

Sungmin defended.

“Pabo!”

 Jongwoon flicks Sungmin’s forehead.

“Let me tell you my baby bunny. Sulli is hugging me when Doctor Cho went here to check on me. I’m telling you Minnie. My doctor has a hidden desire on you. Maybe he’s just shy to admit it”

“Will you please stop playing cupid?”

Sungmin told her best friend. Jongwoon pouts and shook his head.

“I’m not playing cupid Minnie. I’m telling you the truth. I really can feel it and I bet he’s jealous of me because we’re so close to each other”

Jongwoon chuckles and continues eating the grapefruit like a little kid.

“But Jongwoonie…”

Sungmin wraps her hands around Jongwoon’s arm.

“Doctor Cho has a fiancée. That’s why I keep on telling you not to play cupid and you’re instinct is wrong this time. He can never like me because he’s getting married soon”

Sungmin informs her best friend. Jongwoon stares at Sungmin curiously and raises an eyebrow.

“How did you know? Are you his stalker?”

Jongwoon asks, teasing his best friend while smiling at her. Sungmin shook her head.

“Of course not. I just found out about it awhile ago. It happens that Doctor Cho is the friend of my clients; the couple who’s getting married here. Doctor Cho was actually looking for a wedding planner because he and his fiancée are planning to get married soon. His friends who happen to be my clients, recommended me to be his wedding planner”

Jongwoon almost choke upon hearing the shocking news.

“Aigoo!”

Sungmin gently rubs Jongwoon’s back.

“Are you ok Jongwoonie?”

Sungmin asks worriedly. Jongwoon nods while taking a sip on his orange juice. He clears his throat before speaking.

“Ha! Are you telling me that you’re going to plan the wedding of the love of your life?”

Jongwoon teases Sungmin. He pats his best friend’s shoulder while faking a sob.

“It’s ok my baby bunny. I understand that it’s really painful to plan the wedding of the man you love. Seriously baby, men always exchange you to other woman. I wonder why. But don’t worry baby. I’m still here. We can be together forever, if you know what I mean”

Jongwoon teases Sungmin happily. Sungmin pouts and hits Jongwoon’s arm.

“Ouch! Yah! Now I know why men always exchange you to other woman because you’re such a freaking war freak bunny. Aish!”

Jongwoon pouts while rubbing his arm.

“Pabo! I don’t want to be single forever just like you! And will you please stop teasing me to Doctor Cho? He’s not my type. He looks so evil and a bit arrogant”

“Arrogant?”

Jongwoon asks with confusion in his voice, wondering why Sungmin thinks that his doctor is an arrogant person. Sungmin nods. She suddenly frowns upon remembering what Kyuhyun told her when she was sitting inside his car.

“Your doctor is a bit arrogant. You see. He told me awhile ago that I’m expecting him to fall in love with me and leave his fiancée. Aish! If only I know that he has a fiancée then I wouldn’t kiss him yesterday! I was so damn stupid you know!”

Jongwoon’s eyes grow big upon hearing Sungmin.

“Oh my ing hell! You kiss Doctor Cho yesterday?”

Jongwoon asks, still can’t believe on what he just heard. Sungmin suddenly blushes and nods her head, feeling a bit shy.

“Aigoo!”

Jongwoon suddenly laughs. He places his orange juice on the overbed table.

“What the ing hell is that huh Lee Sungmin? You’re such a bunny”

“Yah!”

Sungmin crosses her arms on her chest and frowns at Jongwoon.

“It’s your fault ok”

Sungmin told Jongwoon who points a finger on his self.

“My fault? How can it be my fault?”

Jongwoon asks like an innocent kid.

“It’s because you keep on playing cupid on us and you’re the one who told me to seduce Doctor Cho”

Sungmin explains, making Jongwoon laughs.

“Will you please stop laughing at me? I’m really going to kill your beloved turtles when I return to your house later!”

Sungmin hits Jongwoon’s arm as he keeps on laughing.

“KIM JONGWOON!!! I HATE YOU SO BADLY!!!”

Sungmin shouts while frowning so hard at her best friend. Jongwoon stops laughing. He takes a deep breath before speaking.

“Baby, I told you to seduce Doctor Cho. Meaning, you need to get to know him more. I didn’t tell you to be a and kiss him. Honestly, how can you kiss a man whom you just met yesterday? You didn’t even know him that much for you to flirt with him like that”

Jongwoon sighs.

“Oh my goodness Lee Sungmin! Since when did you become a ? Who taught you to be like that? Why are you kissing a stranger? If you want to kiss a man then just kiss me”

Jongwoon told Sungmin, sticking his lips out. He leans forward, pretending to kiss Sungmin.

“Yah! Get away from me!”

Sungmin pushes Jongwoon away from her.

“I rather kiss your turtles than you”

Sungmin told her best friend before sticking her tongue out. She smiles when Jongwoon pouts.

“I’m just kidding Captain Jongwoonie. Of course we can’t kiss each other because we’re best of friends and your doctor might go inside your room to have rounds. He might think something special is going on between us”

Sungmin told Jongwoon as she gently pinches her best friend’s cheek. Jongwoon suddenly smiles.

“You don’t want Doctor Cho to see me kissing your lips because you don’t want him to get jealous, right?”

Jongwoon teases Sungmin happily.

“Yah!”

Sungmin gently slaps Jongwoon’s cheek.

“I told you to stop playing cupid. He’s getting married soon”

“I know baby bunny. You don’t need to remind me that you’re the one who’s going to plan the wedding of the love of your life. Ouch! That was really painful”

Jongwoon laughs softly, teasing Sungmin. He wraps his arms around her, hugging her like a baby.

“Jongwoonie, what will I do? I’m such a ”

“It’s ok. Every one commits mistake. But I’m going to ask something”

Jongwoon looks at Sungmin who also looks at him.

“I want an honest answer”

Sungmin nods at her best friend.

“When you kiss Doctor Cho yesterday, did he kiss back?”

Jongwoon asks curiously. Sungmin remains quiet. She just blushes so hard. Jongwoon nods his head as he understands what it means.

“I’m telling you Lee Sungmin. Stay away from him or else you’re going to ruin a relationship. I’m telling you. Doctor Cho has a great HD on you and you might end up on bed. Stay away from him if you don’t want to get pregnant”

Jongwoon smirks.

“Ha! Why do I have this feeling that you’re going to end up planning your wedding with him and not his wedding with his fiancée?”

Jongwoon asks. Sungmin pokes him.

“Stop teasing me ok. If I end up on bed with Doctor Cho then it will be your fault”

“Excuse me. Don’t ever blame me if you end up on bed with him because I already warn you. If you will be a then you’ll be pregnant in an instant. Aigoo! Why are you so aggressive huh? I’m telling you Lee Sungmin. We’re dead meats when your tummy grows big. I’m sure that your mom and dad will kill not only you, but also me. Please Minnie. I’m still young to die and I still have a future with my Miss Flight Attendant. We’re still going to have one million kids. I already have a dream wedding proposal and of course dream wedding for her. So, don’t ruin it. Stop being a , arasso?”

Jongwoon told his fiancée. Sungmin suddenly laughs at Jongwoon.

“I’m serious Minnie. Don’t laugh at me”

Jongwoon frowns. Sungmin stops laughing and shook her head.

“You’re really funny my dear Captain. Aigoo! How can you plan a wedding proposal and wedding for your Miss Flight Attendant when you don’t even know her? Not even her name or some basic information about her? You’re not even courting her and she’s not yet your girlfriend”

Sungmin told Jongwoon before laughing again. Jongwoon smirks and flicks Sungmin’s forehead.

“Trust me Minnie. I can catch my Miss Flight Attendant in no time. It’s really easy like flying an airplane. If that happens then prepare yourself because you’re going to be our wedding planner”

Jongwoon told Sungmin while flashing a proud smile.

“I suddenly become jealous of her”

Sungmin told Jongwoon, pouting cutely.

“Seriously?”

Jongwoon asks. Sungmin nods and hugs Jongwoon.

“Jongwoonie, don’t get married too soon, arasso? I don’t want to lose my best friend”

“Pabo! Of course we’re still best of friends even though we already have our own partners in life. But don’t worry Minnie. I’m not going to get married unless you found your Prince Charming. I want to make sure that you’re fine before I get married. That’s my promise to you, remember?”

Jongwoon asks Sungmin nods. Jongwoon hugs Sungmin, treating her like a baby. Kyuhyun went inside the room to check on Jongwoon. He was shock to see Jongwoon and Sungmin hugging each other like a couple and he just can’t help but to get jealous.

“Why am I feeling like this? I’m not jealous ok”

Kyuhyun thought, convincing his self that he’s not jealous on Jongwoon. Kyuhyun takes a deep breath, calming his self. He coughs to catch Jongwoon and Sungmin’s attention.

“Excuse me. Can I disturb you for awhile?”

Kyuhyun asks Jongwoon and Sungmin who are staring at him. Jongwoon smiles inwardly upon seeing the irritated expression of Kyuhyun.

“Someone is getting jealous here”

Jongwoon told his self happily. He knows that Kyuhyun is jealous on him. No matter how hard Kyuhyun calms his self so it won’t be obvious that he’s feeling jealous of Jongwoon and Sungmin’s closeness, Jongwoon can still see it on Kyuhyun’s eyes and expression and he can feel it. Jongwoon smiles before letting go of Sungmin. Kyuhyun looks at Sungmin, shooting her a serious glare before walking towards Jongwoon who is happily sitting on the bed.

“Hi Doctor Cho”

Jongwoon happily greets his doctor who is staring at Sungmin.

“Ah…”

Kyuhyun coughs and looks at Jongwoon.

“I have good news for you Mr. Kim”

“You can call me Jongwoon. What is your good news for me doctor?”

Kyuhyun manages to smile on Jongwoon in spite of feeling jealous on him.

“Well, you can go home tomorrow in the afternoon”

Kyuhyun told Jongwoon, making him smile as well as Sungmin.

“Finally! We can already stroll around Seoul together. I’m so happy. This will be the best working vacation ever because we’re together”

Sungmin hugs Jongwoon happily, making Kyuhyun even jealous.

“Damn it! Are they really just best friends or this girl is just kidding around?”

Kyuhyun thought while staring at Sungmin and Jongwoon, trying his best to calm his self, so they will not notice him getting jealous over Jongwoon who keeps on smiling brightly because he can feel Kyuhyun’s jealous aura.

“Doctor Cho is really jealous of me…super jealous. But he can never have this lost bunny unless he breaks up with his fiancée. He needs to do that first before I entrust my baby bunny to him”

Jongwoon thought while staring at Kyuhyun happily, observing his jealous expression that he keeps on hiding, but too obvious and the way he looks at Sungmin.

“That’s all. I’m not going to have rounds later because I’ll be in a meeting. My fellow doctors will be the one who will take rounds later. I’ll just see you tomorrow for last instruction before you go home. Do you have any question Jongwoon?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin feels a bit sad upon knowing that Kyuhyun will not going to have rounds later. It only means that she won’t be able to see him later. Sungmin looks at Kyuhyun who quickly remove his gaze upon her.

“I don’t have any question doctor. Thank you”

Jongwoon happily told Kyuhyun who nods his head.

“I’ll see you tomorrow. Take a good rest”

“Yes doctor”

Kyuhyun smiles at him. He looks at Sungmin before going out of the room.

“Did you see that Minnie?”

Jongwoon happily asks his best friend who shook her head sadly.

“See what?”

Sungmin asks while staring at Jongwoon who keep a smile on his lips.

“He’s really jealous of me”

“What do you mean?”

“Didn’t you see his expression? Minnie, I’m telling you. Doctor Cho really likes you and that’s why he’s jealous of me. He’s jealous whenever we’re so close to each other. He may not show it, but I can feel it”

Jongwoon told Sungmin happily.

“Shut up Captain Jongwoonie”

Sungmin pouts.

“Stop playing cupid. He already has a fiancée and the thing that you’re telling me is very impossible to happen. He’s already getting married ok”

Sungmin told Jongwoon sadly. She carefully jumps off of the hospital bed and sits on the couch. Jongwoon notices Sungmin’s sad face.

“What happen to you? Why are you sad all of a sudden?”

Jongwoon asks Sungmin curiously.

“I don’t know why, but I suddenly feel sad upon knowing that he won’t have rounds later. It only means that I’m not going to see him later”

“But you will see each other tomorrow when you guys plan his wedding again. Ouch! That was really painful Minnie”

Jongwoon chuckles, teasing Sungmin happily

“SHUT UP KIM JONGWOON!!!”

Sungmin shouts while frowning so hard.

“If Doctor Cho will not have his rounds later then I think you’re the one who supposed to have rounds later. Maybe when you go around the hospital, you can find your oh so gorgeous Prince Charming”

Jongwoon told Sungmin while laughing.

“It’s really fun teasing you. You look like a lost bunny”

Jongwoon teases Sungmin while laughing hard. Sungmin takes a deep breath, controlling her temper.

“Yeah right. Go ahead and laugh and tomorrow I’ll burn your beloved Airplane 101”

Sungmin threatens Jongwoon, sticking her tongue out.

“You can’t do that baby”

“Then I’ll burn your turtles instead”

Sungmin threatens Jongwoon again, making him stop laughing.

“Ok. I’m not going to tease you again. Just please don’t grill my turtles alive. Don’t you ever ruin their future because they still need to be part of the entourage when I marry my Miss Flight Attendant”

Jongwoon told Sungmin, giggling happily. Sungmin just smirks and gets her ipad inside her tote bag and starts working. Jongwoon stares at her and notices her sad face.

“Love really hurts sometimes”

Jongwoon whispers. He sighs and continues eating his grapefruit.

Sungmin was walking at the hallway while searching something inside her tote bag.

“Aigoo! Where the hell is that notebook? I think I lost it. What to do?”

Sungmin asks herself nervously. She stops walking and starts thinking, trying to remember where she left her rosy pink notebook.

“Oh my goodness!”

Sungmin holds her forehead.

“Where on earth did I misplace it? I can’t lose that notebook. It’s really important. All the sketches that I made for Hyukkie and Hae’s wedding are all there as well as the final plan for their wedding. Aigoo! What will I do now?”

Sungmin hits her head.

“Aish! Why are you so stupid huh Lee Sungmin? Why are you so forgetful? Really…Aish!”

Sungmin bites her lower lip and starts walking at the hallway again, still thinking on where she misplaces her rosy pink notebook. She was busy thinking so deep that she didn’t notice Kyuhyun who is walking beside her.

“It seems that you’re thinking something so deep my Miss American Lady”

Sungmin stops walking upon hearing Kyuhyun. She looks at him. Kyuhyun is smiling at her, making her blush a little. Sungmin’s heart starts beating fast when Kyuhyun holds her hand and drags her with him. They went at the parking lot. Kyuhyun opens the front door. Sungmin looks at him.

“Please go inside”

“Why?”

“Just go inside, arasso?”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who nods her head and went inside the car. Kyuhyun smiles and gently closes the door. He runs towards the driver’s seat and quickly enters his car. He wears his seatbelt and starts the engine. He notices Sungmin staring at him with confused face.

“Let’s have coffee before I drop you to your best friend’s house. Is that ok with you?”

Kyuhyun asks, clearing everything so Sungmin won’t feel confuse as to why he drags her with him. Sungmin nods her head before staring at the window, feeling a bit shy towards Kyuhyun who keep a smile on his soft pinkish lips. Kyuhyun takes a deep breath and starts driving his car, feeling happy because he and Sungmin are together.

“I thought you’re going to drink coffee?”

Sungmin asks Kyuhyun who is happily drinking his carrot orange smoothie. Kyuhyun shook his head and puts down his cold glass of carrot orange smoothie on the table. He smiles at Sungmin.

“You don’t want me to drink coffee, right? You told me awhile ago that too much caffeine is bad for the body. I’m just following you Miss American Lady”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who quickly looks away, avoiding him.

“Can I ask something?”

Kyuhyun ask, but Sungmin didn’t answer. She just focused her eyes on the window, still avoiding Kyuhyun.

“Tell me Miss American Lady. Are you sure that you and Jongwoon are just best of friends?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin nods without looking at him. She was drinking her peach smoothie through the straw.

“I told you yesterday that Jongwoonie and I are just best of friends. Why are you asking?”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun, still staring at the window.

“Well…you act like a couple. That’s why”

“Are you jealous?”

“So what if I’m jealous?”

Sungmin’s eyes widened upon hearing Kyuhyun. She slowly turns her head to look at him.

“I’m jealous of him. Can’t you feel it or you’re just really acting so sweet towards him whenever I’m around? Are you doing it on purpose for me to get jealous?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin shook her head with wide eyes open. She can’t believe what she’s hearing from Kyuhyun.

“Ah…well…ah…you…you’re…kidding, right?”

Sungmin’s voice starts trembling because of excitement that she can’t explain. She’s actually happy knowing that Kyuhyun is feeling jealous over Jongwoon though she can’t understand why he needs to be jealous because there’s nothing special going on between them. She’s not Kyuhyun’s girlfriend and he’s not even courting her and at the same time Kyuhyun has a fiancée and they are already planning to get married soon and that’s what makes Sungmin a bit confused.

“Do I look like I’m kidding? I’m serious Miss American Lady. I’m jealous of your best friend. I really hate the fact whenever you guys are so close to each other”

“Ah…”

Sungmin clears .

“What happen to your meeting awhile ago? How was it?”

Sungmin asks Kyuhyun, changing the topic.

“Well…”

Kyuhyun takes a sip on his carrot orange smoothie before continuing.

“We’re going to perform the surgery tomorrow”

“But I thought it will be next week?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun nods.

“We’re supposed to perform it next week because the patient’s body is a bit weak, but upon studying all the tests that we perform to him, we decided to perform the surgery tomorrow. We’re worried that the patient might die if we won’t perform the surgery as soon as possible. It’s a bit complicated you know. We’re going to repair his skull and remove the damaged tissues”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who gulps nervously. Sungmin suddenly have goose bumps, feeling nervous and scared.

“Oh my goodness! That was so scary. I really hate hearing those kinds of thing. I really hate hospital. I’m really scared whenever I’m going to set my feet in a hospital. That’s why I’m so happy awhile ago when you told Jongwoonie that he can go home tomorrow”

“You’re such a baby. I have two major operations tomorrow. First is our patient who suffer from Traumatic Brain Injury and the other one is a two year old baby boy”

“What happen to him?”

Sungmin asks sadly.

“He will undergo a Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt to treat his hydrocephalus”

“That was sad. You need to do your best to save your patients, arasso?”

Kyuhyun nods at Sungmin, making her smile.

“So, we’re not going to see each other tomorrow?”

“I think so. Maybe my fellow doctor will be the one who will give some last instructions to Jongwoon before he goes home tomorrow”

Sungmin just nods at Kyuhyun. She looks at the window. Kyuhyun notices her sad face.

“But maybe we can go out tomorrow and have dinner. Is it ok with you?”

Kyuhyun asks Sungmin who stares at him.

“You’re asking me out?”

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun nods

“We can have dinner tomorrow, right?”

“Why?”

“What do you mean by why?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin sighs.

“You have a fiancée”

“But I like you”

Sungmin’s mouth hangs open. She was shock on what Kyuhyun told her.

“No…I mean…this is wrong. How can that happen? We don’t know each other that much”

“That’s why I’m asking you out, so we can have the chance to get to know each other”

“Are you serious or you’re just insane because your fiancée is too busy that’s why you need to flirt with other woman?”

Kyuhyun shook his head.

“I’m serious Miss American Lady. I really like you. I can leave my fiancée for you. We can get married if you want”

“Aigoo!”

Sungmin shook her head.

“I think you’re just insane. How can you love a girl whom you just met yesterday?”

“Love at first sight”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who suddenly laughs sarcastically.

“I don’t believe at love at first sight. Don’t be silly”

“Well, you should believe now because that’s what happens to me. You capture my heart from the moment I saw you”

Kyuhyun holds Sungmin’s hand.

“Just think about it Ms.?”

“Lee Sungmin…Minnie for short”

“Think about it Minnie. I’m telling you. We can plan our wedding. I can leave my fiancée for you. If you want, I can do it tomorrow. Just be my wife, will you?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin just stares at Kyuhyun. She doesn’t know what to say and how to react.

“Can we just go home now? I seriously think that you should sleep now Doctor Cho. Maybe you’re just tired that’s why you’re thinking nonsense things or maybe that’s the effect of taking too much caffeine”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun, making him frown. Sungmin gulps nervously because Kyuhyun’s expression suddenly becomes serious.

“Do you want me to you here for you to believe that I’m serious on what I’m telling you? I’m not kidding ok. If you want me to court you then I’ll do that. I’ll leave Sooyoung for you. What else do you want me to do for you to believe me?”

“Ah…”

Sungmin pulls her hand away from Kyuhyun’s grip.

“I think I need to go home now. No need to drop m. I can take the cab. Thanks for the smoothie”

Sungmin stands up and went out of the café. Kyuhyun stands up and follows her. He manages to catch Sungmin before she can ride a taxi.

“I’ll drop you home”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin as she drags her towards his car. Kyuhyun opens the front seat.

“Please go inside”

Sungmin shook her head.

“It’s ok Doctor Cho. I can…”

Sungmin stops talking when Kyuhyun leans forward.

“Are you going inside or we’re going end up having inside the car? You choose”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin, staring at her wonderful lips. Sungmin didn’t speak. She just nods her head and goes inside Kyuhyun’s car. Kyuhyun smiles and gently closes the door. He runs towards the driver’s seat and went inside. He looks at Sungmin who quickly looks away, avoiding him.

“I’m serious Minnie. I really like you and it’s got nothing to do as to whether Sooyoung is busy or not. To be honest with you, my relationship with my fiancée is really complicated as what you told me awhile ago. Our relationship is always on and off. This is not the first time that we’re planning to get married. We already plan about it twice, but we end up calling off the wedding because we’re both busy with our career. If in case you accept my proposal to you then the wedding that we’re planning awhile ago…the beach wedding, it will be our wedding and not my wedding with Sooyoung”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who remains quiet. Kyuhyun focused his attention on the road and starts driving his car quietly.

Kyuhyun parks his car outside Jongwoon’s house.

“Off you go”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who looks at him. Sungmin smiles at Kyuhyun.

“Thanks a lot Doctor Cho. Drive safely and have a good rest. Good luck on the surgery tomorrow. Do your best to save your patients. I know that you can do it because you’re a great doctor. Fighting!”

Sungmin cheers Kyuhyun happily.

“I’m going inside now”

“Wait. I forgot to return something”

Kyuhyun reaches for his backpack that was at the backseat. He opens it and gets Sungmin’s notebook and gives it to her.

“You left it awhile ago at Jiyugaoka. It’s good that I saw it before I leave the place. You're only twenty one to be forgetful”

Kyuhyun explains to Sungmin.

“OMO! Thanks a lot doctor. I really thought that I already lost this notebook. It’s really important to me because all the sketches and plans that I made for your friends’ wedding are all inside this notebook. Thank you so much Doctor Cho”

“No problem and please stop calling me Doctor Cho. Just call me Kyu, arasso?”

“But you’re older than me”

“But I prefer you calling me Kyu”

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who nods at him.

“Thanks Kyu. I’ll go inside now. Drive safely and have a good night rest”

“By the way, can I ask for your number?”

“Of course”

Kyuhyun hand over his mobile phone to Sungmin so she can place her number on his mobile phone. Sungmin smiles as she returns Kyuhyun’s mobile phone to him.

“I’ll just give you a call tomorrow, regarding about our dinner. You’ll go out with me, ok?”

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin nods. Kyuhyun presses Sungmin’s number to ring her mobile phone.

“Save my number”

“I will”

Sungmin waves her hand. She removes her seatbelt and was about to go out of the car when Kyuhyun holds her arm.

“Kyu?”

Sungmin was shock when Kyuhyun captures her lips. Kyuhyun kisses Sungmin’s lips. Sungmin didn’t hesitate as she quickly responds to his kiss. They kiss each other slow and soft, their lips are slightly parted. The warmth of the kiss starts to build; the kiss starts to grow as their tongues took up the kiss. First, they played tag, hiding from one another and joyfully finding the other exactly where one would expect. Sungmin slowly loses her senses because of the way Kyuhyun kisses her and own her lips. It is as if the Classical music that was being played on the radio was slowly disappearing. Sungmin can only hear Kyuhyun’s breath and the soft moans that escaped from between their locked lips. Sungmin gently pushes Kyuhyun away from her when she feels his lips run down on her neck. Sungmin takes a deep breath.

“I need to go inside now”

Sungmin told Kyuhyun. She quickly opens the car door and went inside. Kyuhyun watches her go inside the gate.

“I hope she will think about it. I’m serious. I really like her”

Kyuhyun whispers. He holds his lips.

“I really love her lips. She’s going to be mine soon”

Kyuhyun told his self. He smiles brightly and starts driving his car.

 

Meanwhile…

 

Sungmin went inside her room. She locks the door and slowly sits on the floor because her knees are trembling. She was lucky that she still manages to go upstairs and enters her room. Her knees are trembling because of that kiss.

“Aigoo!”

Sungmin holds her chest, feeling her heart that is beating so fast.

“Did we just kiss awhile ago?”

Sungmin asks herself, still can’t believe what happen between her and Kyuhyun inside Kyuhyun’s car. Sungmin holds her head.

“Why did I do that? Why did I respond to his kiss?”

Sungmin bites her thumb.

“Calm down Lee Sungmin”

Sungmin told herself before taking a deep breath.

“Am I in love with that doctor? Is that even possible? Oh my goodness! What to do?”

Sungmin suddenly blush while thinking about Kyuhyun. She holds her lips.

“His lips are so soft. He’s killing me because of the way he kisses me. I can’t even forget about it and those soft pinkish lips. I shouldn’t stop him awhile ago, but…”

Sungmin’s eyes grow big.

“If I didn’t stop him then we’re going to end up having ”

Sungmin pouts and shook her head.

“Pabo! Lee Sungmin, stop desiring that doctor, arasso? You should listen to Jongwoonie. You need to stay away from him or else you’ll end up getting pregnant.”

Sungmin holds her head.

“But how can I even resist that doctor? He was so gorgeous and his lips are so sweet and it really feels so great whenever he’s kissing me. My world is exploding because he really kisses so great. I just can’t control myself. He looks so yummy you know”

Sungmin slaps herself.

“Oh my God! What the ing hell are you thinking Lee Sungmin? Stop desiring that doctor, arasso? Try your best to stay away from him. Get that?”

Sungmin nods her head. She takes a deep breath.

“I think I should take a warm bubble bath now to calm myself. Oh no! I really think that I’m not going to have a proper sleep tonight because I will end up thinking about Kyu and that kiss”

Sungmin sighs. She slowly stands up and went inside the bathroom to take a warm bubble bath, hoping to calm herself and drift Kyuhyun away from her mind.
