I can’t believe my roommate ignored me completely this morning. Did I really became human or am I still invisible? Because I swear, I tried talking to her and even reached out my hand for her to shake but all I received was silence 

And I do remember going dead by her loud scream as she rose up from her bed as I was fixing and organizing my stuffs at my own shelf and cabinet

She went out of the room hurriedly while cursing and pulling the her hair up to go to the bathroom to wash up

And when she came back inside the room, she kept throwing her clothes out of her wardrobe again and again as she tries a new one and it was funny how she ended up wearing a black hoodie paired up with a black ripped jeans and when she was all dressed up, she picked up her bag on the couch and dashed out of the room

I saw a chord fall down her bag along with her phone as she closes—slammed—the door shut

I walked towards the fallen phone and reached out for it while the screen suddenly lit up and saw a photo of her with a blonde haired girl who had her hair tied up

“What am I supposed to do now?” I said as I rotate and observe her phone which doesn’t seem to have anything interesting so I just decided to keep it inside my pocket and go out of the room to find and deliver or should I say return it to her because who knows? Me going out of this lifeless room would be beneficial for me

Because I might find some candidates for that hidden form of my next couple. I want to get that over with before my life turns upside down in this world

Students were now roaming around the campus. Some with a group of friends, with their partner, with a close friend of theirs but I hadn’t seen any of them suited to he matched by me and what’s weird was that students were scanning or staring at me from heat to toe as I pass by

“What now? Do I look ridiculous?” I mumbled as I look at how I dress and I don’t see any reason why they would look at me like that until a man approached me—like stopped in front of me which made me also stop from walking

The man was tall and his hair was kinda wavy and I might say he has some looks but not enough to make me, the one and only Cupid, be on awe

He laid her hand on my right shoulder which made me glare at him because how dare he touch me?! Any part of my body is a complete gold and a treasure

“Hey there pretty, wanna hang out for a bit?” The man said in a seductive way which made me disgusted 

“Get out of the way, you moron”

“Feisty there are we? It’ll be only for a while and I promise you that it’ll be super fun” I rolled my eyes and just passed by him which made him laugh insanely. He tried grabbing me but my reflexes was fast enough to be able to grab her wrist first and rotate it brutally

“You saw how I didn’t want to play with you so don’t insist about it” I said as I rotate his fist more making his body twist along with it and caused him to groan in pain

I softened my grip and released him after I saw his veins almost popping out of her head along with his face reddening up. He ran as fast as he could without turning back to me which made me laugh a little

“Human would always be humans. Running away after feeling pain for a certain amount of time”

Talk about me badmouthing the mortals when I, myself is currently one of them at this very moment because of my mission to make that unknown pair fall in love with each other and I can’t even risk using my magical bow and arrow due to the chance of me failing to pick a wrong pair to shoot

So in short? I guess I’ll be doing this mission in the manual way... help them fall in love with the help of the human me and not the cupid herself

What a total pain and waste of time

“Good luck in finding that lucky mysterious pair that they have given you the task to make them fall in love” I said in as I groan and tuck both of my hands into my pocket

I have been roaming inside this campus for an whole hour already and I still saw no sign of my roommate. Does she even know that her precious phone is missing? I thought phones were the life of humans these days?

I once took a detour again but I saw no sign of her again until the result was me giving up on finding her so I headed back to the dorm and surprisingly, I heard someone mumbling and i heard sounds that was implying that things were getting thrown out of its place

“So she went back? Of course” I muttered as I open the door and remove my shoes at the entrance

My hunch about her throwing stuffs around the room was indeed correct. I saw her throwing and lifting up the pillows on the couch and pulling her hair up... wait is pulling her hair up when stressed her mannerism or what?

But even though, I just leaned at the side of the wall and raised her phone with a smirk playing through my face

“Looking for this, roomie?” She turned her head in my direction and gave me her deadly glare before rushing towards me and grabbed it as soon as she reached me

She opened her phone and was probably checking if I did something to it which made me scoff because seriously? I even took away my precious time in finding her she was just to return that to her

“If you’re thinking I did something to your precious phone, I didn’t okay? I don’t go opening things that are not mine” but I received no response and she just continued checking her phone throughout the time

“Fine... I’ll just head back to my bed and sleep because I don’t think my roommate have even the slightest chance to thank me for making effort in finding her so I could give her the phone which she forgot or if not thank me, at least introduce herself”

I raised both of my hands up in the air and started walking towards the door—annoyed by how she’s ignoring me until I heard her speak that made me turn my whole body in her direction

“Sinb...” I tilted my head to show that I was confused by what she had said and she was walking towards me and repeated what she had said

“Sinb. That’s my name” she said and surprised me by her hand reaching out for me to take. I grabbed her hand and shook it it was my turn to say my name

“Sojung. Kim Sojung” I said with a smile on my face and scanning hers and I mist say that despite of her ignoring me this morning, she’s a pretty face. Pointy nose, her stares might be cold but I could tell that it could also be hot and intense if she would want that, her length of hair and it’s deep black color perfectly suited her, and despite of her having a cold aura and face I got a feeling that she could laugh the most perfect smile when she smiles or laugh

Putting that aside because that was clearly not what I went here for, she offered me something to eat—beef fried rice to be specific—and who am I to reject such an offer? Plus this would be my first time tasting a human’s cooking

I followed her through the kitchen and sat at the chair while she went through the cabinet utensils then to the fridge to get the ingredients

As she was cutting the vegetables, I couldn’t stop myself from asking who was the girl beside her on the lock screen of her phone which resulted her to freeze at her spot for a few seconds before coming back to life once again

“Ahh... you saw my lock screen?” I nodded even though she couldn’t see due to her facing back and she continued “That’s Yerin, my best friend and also a childhood friend” she then put the vegetables and rice to the pan and the sound of the grilling could be heard along with its delicious smell linger throughout the area

She turned around carrying the pan and placed near me then she sat at the nearest chair and pulled it to my side

“Let’s just eat in the pan since it’ll lessen the dishes that needs to be washed”

Both of us ate the food diligently and as I took my first bite, my eyes couldn’t help but grow wider and hum due to how delicious it tasted like

“You can cook pretty well”

“Well this is the only food that I could pretty much do since everytime I try something new, it always turns into a disaster” I can only nod because of me continuing to dig in to the fried that she had cooked

“And also her favorite dish” her voice was so low and could barely be heard but thanks to my sharp ears, I was able to hear it but I pretended that I didn’t because I don’t want to ruin the mood along with her appetite so I changed the topic

“About this morning, why were you hurrying when you know that classes would end in half an hour?” She dropped her spoon and stretched that made me repeat that I messed up inside my head again and again

“She had a game that time and she asked me to come so I panicked when I woke up and realized I didn’t set up my alarm”

“But did you see me fixing my things a while ago or you completely have not seen any of your surroundings because you were so occupied by her?”

“I saw you actually but being occupied was part of the reason why I haven’t had the chance to speak nor talk to you so I’ll be apologizing now” I shook my hand as I try to munch the bug spoonful of rice inside my mouth

“No need. Totally understand that you needed to hurry up there. So was the match still going when you arrived?” She smiled and nodded. I could see her face blushing and her heart thumping like how the people who are in love does when they remember or thinks about the person whom they think is the perfect match for them even though some are wrong about it while some are right so I end up coming to them and shooting them until those inked heart on their wrist glows up to bright red which means that they’ll soon feel that fluttering sensation when they laid eyes to each other

“She’s definitely in love with that blonde girl” I said in my mind as I munch my food while looking at her with amusement

“Could they be the paired couple in that locked file?”

My eyes were narrowing as I think harder of the possibility of them being that mystery couple but wouldn’t be that too obvious if they were indeed the destined ones? Or did Kyung and the committee went with them because they thought that I would think harder and overthink because that’s how I really am overthinking about simple stuffs...

I need to find more clues if it was really them to who was paired up because I don’t want to be reckless and make a move without thinking properly or having a clue if it was really them

If I don’t find this pair then I guess I don’t deserve my title as the matchmaker, aka Cupid, of the mortal world

“You should’ve at least given some hints about them instead of giving me a hard time and making my head explode due to how I overthink these kind of things”
