“You should’ve stopped already when you felt something wrong with your body” I said towards Sinb who was now lying on the bed as I caress her cheeks

She smiled weakly and it pained me seeing her so weak and fragile already... I can’t even imagine the time where she would get weaker and weaker because of me and my greediness. But I know, I will have to make my sacrifice to be able to save her

She lifted her left hand from the blanket and held my free hand “Don’t worry about it. I just got dizzy”

“You talk as if it wasn’t a big deal. You, fainting in the pool” I wanted to scold her but I can’t seem to do it. My body was was trembling but I had to hide it for Sinb not to see how seeing her slowly getting affected makes me weak

I want to curse the other world for doing such a stupid rule. Why can’t they just let us love whomever we want instead of setting up a barrier between the two worlds?

What have the humans nor the mythical beings did to receive this punishment?

“It is not a big deal. I’m already fine, you see” Shen then tried sitting up and as soon as I saw her struggling, I moved my hands to support her

“Don’t push yourself too hard”

“I’m not. As you can see”—she stretched her arms and rotated them—“I can perfectly rotate my arms without me feeling any pain” 

I sighed at how unbelievably stubborn she can be sometimes. I helped her stand up by supporting her arms without letting go until she regained her balance

I tried helping her in walking but she slid her hands onto mine and interlocked it with hers

“Just by holding your hand, I can already regain back my energy” She flashed me her sweetest smile making fluids come across my eyes

If I could hold your hand until the end of time, I would gladly do so. But then again, the odds and fate are against us so I would do my best to give you my best in holding your hands as tight as I could before letting you go

She led me towards sports park where the other volleyball players were hanging out. Drenched it sweats, they welcomed us with a not so warm one... Yerin threw the ball to me and they ran to Sinb and hugged her as they ask if she was already fine 

Looking at Sinb’s eyes as she say that she was fine, I could tell that pain was hiding behind it. It was evident that she wasn’t.

Forcing herself to act tough. That’s what she had been doing ever since she lost her parents, and I’m afraid that her acting tough will lead into greater pain rather than her healing.

Being stubborn won’t do anything good. That’s what I had proven when I chose to love a mortal and break the number one rule

I was too stubborn for believing that my fate with Sinb would be different and that story about the reaper was merely a legend. Nothing more and nothing less.

Look what had happen for when I believed and risked my chances towards a mortal

She’s becoming weak because of me.

I’m slowly killing her.

And she doesn’t even has any idea that I am the reason why she is experiencing such a terrible thing and why she is getting weaker and weaker

“Will the two of you join practice or not?” Yerin, the captain, asked as she bounce the ball onto the ground

“We will—“ I cut off Sinb, knowing that she will say yes

“No. We won’t”—I tightened my grip from our interlocked hands—“She’s still in the midst of recovering so no, we won’t”

I saw her glaring at me but just ignored that because if I won’t, I might just spoil her and take back the words that I had just said towards Yerin and the volleyball team

I bowed and pulled Sinb away from the park.

“Why did you do that?” Hearing the way she had said it, it was inevitable that she was pissed and annoyed by what I did

I stopped from further walking and turned my body to face her “Because I want to spend time with you and... I don’t want to share you for this day”

I saw her reddening up and looking away to avoid my gaze. I chuckled at how adorable she could be when she’s embarrassed

I cupped both of her cheeks and squished it “Why is my baby so cute when she’s shy?”

She glared at me and pouted. I stared at her lips for a while before giving her a peck on the lips before retracting my hands on her cheeks and intertwining mine onto hers

“Where are you gonna take me?” She asked with curiosity planted on her face

Instead of replying, I just smiled at her not saying where we will be going

It took several minutes before we have reached our destination. It is a two in one place. A place where there are arcade games and a roller skating rink inside

As we enter, retro music was playing in the background and not people are inside it due to how this place is hidden from the crowd

Sinb had agape and her eyes were sparkling brightly at how she was amazed seeing this place

“How did you find this place?” She asked as she run towards the 90s era arcade consoles and sat at the Mortal Kombat game to start playing

“I surfed the internet about the hot spots in this city and this was written in a not famous site so I guess that’s why not many tourists comes here apart from it being located in a hidden place”

“What would I do without you?” An automatic smile crept upon my lip but I also felt a sudden pang inside my heart as she said that

“You’ll probably gonna have a better life” I mumbled as I watch her switch places as she play other games

You’ll he having a better life without me who’s making you suffer... who’s making you feel pain

“What are you doing there?”—She turned her head to me and motioned for me to come closer—“Play with me. It’s boring if you don’t do it with me”

We’ve spent a few hours in playing together in the arcade zone and for this time, I slyly let her win just to make her happy even though the truth is that I just made her win.

If I had took the game seriously, I’m sure I would beat her

After the arcade games, she pulled me towards the roller skating rink and unexpectedly... she looked like a pro at skating... she swirl and make turns effortlessly while me? I was just at the side holding the rails and my heart was skipping so fast due to the nervousness I was feeling and fear of stumbling or falling on the ground

Sinb had seemed to notice me struggling and stopped in front of me with both of her hands placed at her back

“What’s wrong? Can’t keep up?” She had a playful smirk on her face and taunted me to slide towards her but of course, I just stayed in my comfort zone and that is holding the rails of the sidewalls

She slid towards me and when she was already close enough, she grabbed both of my hands and turned around that her back is now facing me and placed it on her waist

“Just hold my waist and never let go”—she turned her face to the right—“it’ll he sure you won’t fall if you just hold it”

As she started sliding her feet, I couldn’t help but scream for help and my back was bent towards her that my head was already reaching her back. I heard her laughter making me panic more because as she laugh, she started speeding up 

“Thisisnothapeningthisisnothappening” I rapped and kept repeating as I shook my head and I could feel my soul was already flying off from myself 

“You can let go if you think that you’re getting the hang of it”

Hell no! The one I’m getting used to is praying inside my head not to crash onto the floor with my face hitting it first

She grabbed both of my hands and lift it off from her waist and she turned around as quick as possible to put them back again on her waist

“We’re gonna crash! What are you doing?”—she chuckled and wrapped both of her arms on my neck—“I’m already on the wall, babe”

“Eh?” I said as I look at the surroundings just to see her leaning on the wall. I look like an idiot

“I didn—“ before I could even finish my sentence, I felt something soft pressed on my lips

My eyes widened as I realized that it was Sinb’s lips who was kissing me. She was moving her lips in a slow pace, waiting for me react. I closed my eyes and slowly cradled the back of her head to pull her even closer to me, my other hand was wrapped around her waist. As I captured her lips and fastened the pace of the kiss and slowing it down and when I could feel that she needed air to breath, I pulled my lips away and crashing it into hers again

Her lips was soft and tasted cherry and every kiss and every turn of our head, I wanted to make this moment last forever. I don’t want to part my lips from her, I wanted more.

She slowly leaned away gasping for air and I could tell that my stare at her was full of lust. Biting the bottom of my lips as I stare at her lips, she put her index finger into on my lips and had a smirk on her face

“I know that you want more but... I’m not ready for that kind of thing”—she gave a quick peck on my lips before grabbing my hand which was pressed on the wall—“I’m still too innocent for that”

She winked at me making me smile and guided me towards the exit of the rink
