Jessica POV

I decided to give Mark a call today, it's been so long since I last saw him. He was one of the most genuine and selfless people I know, probably still is. Lately, I've been thinking about him a lot. Ever since the SM Town Live in Beijing, I have had so much respect for him. In hindsight, if it wasn't for him, I don't know how many people would have been injured, or worse.

Flashback

SM Town Live has become an annual thing now. Today we have a show in Beijing, and I heard rumours that there's a new security team for the event. An international firm called Guardian. I've heard that they're one of the top private security firms in the world! SM really is SM, only the best for us. 

At the venue we all had rehearsal timetables, we were on right after BoA unnie. Watching her on stage performing Only One with Luhan is captivating, such an inspiration. After she finished, it was our turn. We got up on the stage and just before the music started playing, an alarm went off. 

Everyone froze. What's going on? Suddenly a guy ran onto the stage shouting. 

???: Okay! Everybody, orderly fashion, start making your way to the exits. A fire has started backstage, we need to evacuate. 

Fire? Here? Now? Just our luck. Everyone quickly started moving towards the exit the guy came through. In the rush, Taeyeon tripped, but the guy caught her. 

???: Be careful. Walk, don't run. There will be people guiding you out. Now go. 

We head backstage and half the corridor's on fire! What happened here? I can barely see what's ahead of me due to all the smoke. I hear a voice up ahead directing people to the nearest exit. Suddenly the ceiling collapses in front of the exit, we're trapped! Flaming debris everywhere, smoke in our eyes and lungs, I'm sure this is how it ends. 

Then all of a sudden, the guy who got us off the stage came round the corner. 

???: There's a locker room round the corner. There are others inside. I'll look for another exit. Don't come out until I say so.

All we could do was nod and comply. This guy just exudes confidence, I'm sure he can get us all out safely. We do as he says and find the locker room he mentioned. We went inside and saw that the majority of EXO, SHINee, Super Junior and f(x) were also here. Where's BoA unnie? Did she make it out? I saw Luhan standing with the rest of EXO, he might know where she is.

Jessica: Hey Luhan, have you seen BoA unnie?

Luhan: She went to the bathroom after rehearsals. I haven't seen her since. 

Now I'm beginning to get worried. Is she okay? Did she make it out?

Just then the door opened and that guy appeared again. 

???: Everyone follow me, stay close, and keep up!

He grabs the fire extinguisher by the door and leads the group out into the hallway. The route that we're taking is unfamiliar, though this guy seems to know exactly where he's going, taking corners without hesitation, getting us to the exit in no time. There was a point where we came across some burning debris blocking the path, and he extinguishes it without a pause before leading us to safety. As we were exiting the building, I turn to him.

Jessica: ​​​BoA unnie went to the restroom, I think she's still inside somewhere.
