Mark I
GuardianAnderson said that we'll be meeting with JYP today. Is this about the Twice incident that was on the news all week? Otherwise Anderson wouldn't call the 3 of us in. But for the three of us to protect Twice? Isn't that a bit of a waste of our skills? I don't mean to brag, but I have become Anderson's most trusted Guardian over the past few years. I appreciate what he's done us, and our family. So if he says we are the team for the job, then I trust his judgement.
We were waiting at the reception outside of Anderson's office. Alex, as usual was flirting with Sandra behind the desk.
Alex: Hey Sandra, so when are we going to grab that drink?
Sandra: I don't know, when will you have free time? I have your schedule here and it looks like you're fully booked for the next 2 months.
Alex: Yeah...(scratching his head)
Just then the intercom sounded and Sandra gestured to the office door. I took the lead and opened the doors, with Jean and Alex following behind. Anderson was behind his desk and JYP sat opposite him.
Anderson: Please let me present to you, Cerberus.
Cerberus was the name given to our squad. The three headed dog that guards the gates of Hell. I never really minded the name, but Alex hated it. He says it makes us sound like the protectors of evil or something. Jean, on the other hand, thinks it's a good name, it shows how dangerous we can actually be. We formed Cerberus a couple of years ago, up until that point, we never really worked cases together. I worked mostly out of Europe, Alex was in the States, and Jean was here in Korea. It wasn't until Alex and I came over for a visit and Jean needed help with a case, as her two partners had gotten into an accident. The job was simple enough, the client and jewels from point A to point B. Easy right? We thought so too. But there was an ambush. A group of armed men tried stealing the jewels. We got the jewels back, but not without Alex getting injured. It wasn't anything too serious, just a sprained ankle he received during the chase. From that day on, the three of us flew around the world picking up high-profile cases. Which is why I find it weird that our next case is Twice. I mean, how complicated could this actually get?
Anderson: Mark, this is Mr. Park, CEO of JYPE. We were discussing the terms for the Twice case.
So it is Twice.
Mark: Pleasure to meet you Mr. Park, pardon me, but my Korean isn't great.
JYP: It's fine, though, the girls aren't great with English. Do any of you speak Korean, or Japanese?
Mark: I speak conversational Japanese, these two speak Korean. So we should be fine.
Alex:(butting in) I also speak Mandarin. You know, because, Tzuyu...
I look over at Alex, he's nervous, stuttering. This is unlike him. He's usally quite composed, is he a Twice fan? How did I not know about this? Jean chuckles at Alex's poor attempt of communicating, and Alex goes red in the face.
JYP: So I see you have all the bases covered then. Alright, deal looks good. So when can they start?
Anderson: Just as soon as we sign the contracts.
JYP: Great. One
