Mark VI
GuardianWe arrived at the restaurant a little earlier than anticipated. Jean, Alex and I sat in the private room quietly, no one really wanted to talk. Alex was still looking at the pictures that Tiffany sent him. They were some pretty invasive photos of her; pictures of her leaving her apartment complex, filling up her car, and filming the burning stadium in Beijing. It's clear whoever took these have been doing so for a number of years now, but why only reveal their actions now? One of the pictures said "Burn in Hell SM". Are they after the company, or the people in it? I wonder who will be taking on the SM case, I assume we'll continue to stay with Twice, seeing as they're getting threats too. The whole world's gone to .
All of a sudden the door slides open. Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, and Seohyun enter the room, all greeting us at once.
Mark: Just you four?
Jessica: Yeah, the others already had plans. It was all kind of short notice.
Mark: True. Please, sit.
I tell them, gesturing to the empty seats. They sit down and I wait for everyone to settle down before we get started.
Mark: I'm to believe that all of you have received some strange photos today.
They nod.
Mark: Are all the photos the same?
Jessica: Just the last few. The canisters, the burning stadium, and the message. The rest are pictures of us.
Mark: So, they're personalised. May I see them?
Simultaneously, the girls pull out their phones one by one, and slide them over to me. I look at the photos, trying to study each image to see if I can find any sort of indicator as to who took these, and when. Nothing. They are right though. Every message has the same petrol cans, burning stadium pictures, the door with the message carved on it. Except for Jessica's phone. She had two extra images, not of her, but of BoA. Does that mean anything in particular? Where they mistakenly sent to her, or is there another reason that I haven't noticed. Jessica also messaged the mystery person back. She shouldn't have done that. I must have been looking at them for a long time, as Jessica spoke up.
Jessica: Well? What do you think?
Mark: I think someone is playing a joke, a sick joke, but we should look in to it further. Just in case.
Jessica: BoA said not to go to the police.
Mark: That's right. We'll get to the bottom of this ourselves. All of you who received these images should not go out in public alone. Always stick with 2 or 3 other people, okay? Safety in numbers. Also, don't try and contact this person, no matter what, okay?
Jessica lowers her head, avoiding eye contact with me.
Mark: Jess?
Without looking up, she nods.
Jessica: Sorry.
Mark: It's fine, just don't do it again. We don't know what their motive is, I don't want you saying the wrong thing and escalating the situation any further.
Tiffany: What can we do in the meantime?
Mark: Just act normal. Don't show that there's anything out of the ordinary. Whoever this is will probably be monitoring you. Let them. But remember to always be aware of your surroundings. Anything that looks out of place, or seems strange, make a mental note of it, and report to us. Understand?
They all nod, unenthusiastically. I hand them back their phones, grab the menus from behind me, and hand those out too.
Mark: Let's get our minds off of this, and eat.
Seohyun: How is working with Twice? Are they troublesome?
Mark: We don't actually start until next week. But we met with them yesterday, they seem okay. Shouldn't be too bad
