Love Itself Is A Miracle

My Conveyor

Final Chapter

To love someone is to see a miracle invisible to others.
-----Francois Mauriac

Silence aded the entire room with logical significance, when the smaller figure slackened and sank back into the armchair gingerly, before her eyes converged with the expectant ones of another party. Taeyeon’s mind was particularly cluttered and shambolic with various unexplainable emotions she had at that moment, not to mention those cumbersome fears that were haunting her a minute ago. However, what appeared more significant and mind-provoking was the lingering resonance of a tinkling sound, in specific, a voice that encompasses familiarity yet novelty.

With a trace of anticipation in Dr Kim’s twinkling eyes, Taeyeon begins to realise it was not an individual’s figment of imagination but an actual fact that she has indeed, heard something deemed to be almost implausible. Taking a hard gulp to moist her increasingly dry and choked up throat, she parted her lips slightly with an attempt and intention to validate an expectation that both Tiffany and her, have strongly desired.

“I...” From a raspy croak to a long drawn-out timbre, the short-hair girl accordingly blinked her eyes in disbelief. It might have been a simple syllable or sound produced. However, the significance of this first word is beyond measurement. Other than the gain in relief after breaking free from all the earlier dreadful images of losing Tiffany in her arms, Taeyeon is exceptionally intrigued by the sweet and desired outcome owing to her unyielding determination and perseverance in this ultimate quest.

Have I regain my voice for real? I’m not dreaming isn’t it?

The rhythmic nods of assurance given by the blonde hypnotherapist spell out the legitimacy of an unlikely recovery in her patient, as Hyoyeon proceeds to draw the curtains to illuminate the room further, casting warm rays of light on Taeyeon’s sheer white facial skin.

The latter then unleashes a smile that radiates true contentment, one which embraces all fundamental elements of joy and bliss. Perhaps, it may only be a simple curve, but not many individuals could produce a better one that befits true happiness in this real smile of Taeyeon.

“This is truly amazing... Taeyeon ah... How are you feeling right now?” After dropping back on her armchair, a cautious Dr Kim knew that she should not be carried away by a mere positive reaction from the just awakened baby-faced girl. No doubt the one before her could now articulate something audible. Yet, prudence has to be taken into consideration so as to ensure the success of this whole therapy session. After all, the specialist knew that it may also be a temporary reaction from her patient, or what they technically termed as reflex actions, though the chances of it are fairly slim as the petite girl showed signs of verbalisation in expressing her primary thoughts.

Taking another quick intake of unsteady breaths, Taeyeon purses her lips cutely with her expanding eyes and lightly scratches the itch on her scalp before churning out another precious word.

“... Re..lax?” Slowly but surely, she recognises her regained ability to translate those inner thoughts into words. There seem to be a newly-found passageway within her vocal cord, easing the initial tight throat muscles. Despite the fact that she still encounters some difficulty in articulating her ideas at once, it was a fascinating experience and the once vocally-impaired person could not help but start thinking about the possible reactions of an astounded Tiffany. Her eyes then twinkle with passion as she is very much eager to share this piece of heartening news with her dearest.

“Do you know what happened earlier? Or what were you doing?” As typical as the question might appear to be for any hypnotherapist in rounding up the session, the concerned practitioner enquired in a purposeful manner to stimulate a Taeyeon who was immersed in careful thoughts.

“It...” With brows scrunched, the sitting form found it problematical in finding the right words to sum up her opinions. Her signs of hesitation somewhat confirmed the earlier doubts of Dr Kim.

“Never mind... Go on... Speak whatever that comes to your mind...” The urge was gentle yet persuasive, acting more as a support that Taeyeon is currently lacking of.

“It was... a... bad dream.”

“And in that dream... You thought you were going to lose Tiffany for real... yea?”

Staring into space for a few good seconds, Taeyeon nodded her head accordingly as her lips stretch into a thin line. There should be no better word than ‘relief’ to summarise how she felt about that nightmare, the almost realistic false imagery crafted by Hyoyeon in her trance. The demise of her parents was inevitably the cause of trauma, but the agony of losing Tiffany even if it’s just a sheer envision, triggered sharp pangs in her heart like a thousand daggers. Life and death are predestined things that she has actual awareness of. But little did she know that fearless in reality was remarkably beyond her reach, as over the years, the reliance upon her faithful companion has become deep-seated within her mind and soul. However, the now-composed Taeyeon found herself more than being thankful that she did not have to learn the importance of cherish and love in a harder way, because there are not many chances in life whereby she could brush off the lost of a loved one like a bad dream.

“But they were all just illusions that I have created in your mind. Despite that, the emotions you have shown are real. The phobia of losing your closest ones was there... However... I’m really happy that you showed willpower in dealing with that haunting fear...” The hypnotist leaned slightly forward as she fixes her sight on a concentrated Taeyeon.

“To be honest I have no confidence that the therapy would turn out this way. After all, it all boils down to how receptive you’re in this hypnotism. The effect varies among individuals. Moreover, it is even more challenging when I could only study your facial expressions and actions to analyse how far I’ve lead you in this so-called ‘deep-sleep’. Hence, I considered this the most successful assignment I’ve ever undertake. I’m certainly awesome...” The sight of a smugly Dr Kim nodding her head with folded arms set off an uncontrollable cackle from the rounded-eye girl, bringing about a momentarily comfortable atmosphere in the air-conditioned room.

“Hmm... Your voice sounds gentle and soft when you drag your words... But it then sounded like an ahjumma when you laugh like this... Are you actually an old woman in disguise?”
Taeyeon lived up to the allegation of her witty consultant when she bit her lips after breaking out in a huge guffaw.

“Ah... I wonder how Tiffany will react when she sees this new side of you.”

“Uh..mm... Hap...py?” In fact, there are more sorts of feelings and expressions that the contemplative person has come up with. She wasn’t sure if her extensive time-span in conveying her thoughts through gestures has resulted in her awkwardness to speak. Nonetheless, all the excitement from this huge accomplishment has helped to detach any lingering qualms when a huge beam has become a difficult thing to hide for Taeyeon.

“Anyways... Have you ever wonder... What if... the ‘bad dream’ you had earlier might happen someday?”

The statement might have been placed across casually, but the level-headed Dr Kim had never intended it to be a nonchalant assumption. Rather, the main purpose of her hypnotherapy is to assist the introvert girl in alleviating her greatest phobia. Even though an able-to-speak-again Taeyeon evidently signifies her liberation from fear, the blonde-hair hypnotist wishes to hear a spoken opinion from the just-recovered patient. Besides stimulating the latter’s speaking ability, Hyoyeon plans to provide guidance and counselling as well as assembling the perplexed emotions that are probably running through her client’s veins.

On the other hand, the respondent could only jut her bottom lip in silence. It was not because she had no answers to the obligatory question, just the fact that she did not know where to begin in making her views heard. In fact, the make-believe trial of losing Tiffany has edified Taeyeon about the unpredictability in life.

I know there is nothing I can do to keep her with me forever, neither do I have the powers to stop time or reverse those inevitable events. However, before death do us apart, I can only make the best efforts to love her dutifully and treasure every bits of moment we shared, so that I will never live on with regrets for not loving her unconditionally.

Taeyeon’s mind always works like a mill, meticulously processing and churning out bountiful thoughts. Often, she chooses to keep those feelings and judgements to herself, because she faithfully believes in one thing, that words are unnecessary for those who understand. Then again, there are certain occasions when she has to pour out her emotions to authenticate those sentiments at the right point of time. For this reason, the smaller girl begins to find her reserved nature a little frustrating and wearisome at times, and it doesn’t seem to work out in spite of her existent ability to speak.

While expecting a verbal response from the smaller girl, Hyoyeon caught sight of those impending tears and drooping faint brows. In addition, Taeyeon’s delicate hands were firmly clutched. Although nothing has been said, it was gradually apparent that there is still a tad bit of discomfort for the forlorn figure in expressing her internal emotions.

“Is it because you don’t know how to explain it?”

“...Yyea... Many things... in my mind...” Adding on to the stutters were desperate gesticulations from a bothered Taeyeon. Nevertheless, it appeared positively for the attentive therapist as she went on to stretch the conversation further.

“Well... The one big problem you have... Is that you pondered too much... You’re mindful of how others might interpret the views you’ve expressed. Your subconscious mind is overtaking you. It easily draws in all the negative thoughts and eventually boosted the residing fears in you. Definitely time is needed to improve and eradicate this difficulty. Perhaps, you can begin by reiterating what you wanted to say in your mind, telling yourself that those words are actually fairly simple to express and say.”

There is this determined look on the childlike face of Taeyeon, as she agrees that it only takes a couple more steps to fully succeed in restoring her speaking ability. She has tons of bottled sentiments waiting to be conveyed, most of them, in particular for the one who matters the most in her heart.

“You can always start by jotting down those things you wished to say, before making the effort to articulate them... But not to worry, I will arrange for a few more sessions with you to work on this...”

Hyoyeon’s smile became brighter as a result of her increasingly responsive patient. It was by no easy feat to recover the long lost voice in the reticent girl. Moreover, she became conscious of the escalating enthusiasm in trying to help this otherwise stranger before her. Witnessing a vast change in the attitude of Taeyeon, on top of the knowledge of a deep bond between two enamoured souls, has struck a resounding chord in the psychiatrist’s heart.

“Before you go... There are certain things that I would like you to know...”

In response, Taeyeon shifted her weight onto the edge of the recliner before cocking her head in doubt.

“According to my earlier question... What I wanted to bring about... Is that everyone is bound to leave this world someday... Things come and go... Undoubtedly, human fears death, just the extent of how much they’re afraid of it... Pain and agony are inescapable. However, perhaps the best way to lessen it is to cherish and value every moment spent with our loved ones. But that doesn’t mean we have to obstinately brood over the lost times, which I supposed you’d been experiencing since the death of your parents. We were taught to hold on to memories, but we must learn as much, in letting go...”

The string of psychoanalysis nailed the root of all apprehensions that had suffocated Taeyeon over the years. Initially, she had believed that it were just shock and traumatisation which hampered her power to speak. But in stark truth, it was cause by her unwillingness to accept that her parents were gone. There was a moment of instant emptiness in her life, until the appearance of Tiffany and her father, helped to fill the large void that was left behind by her closest kin. Owing to the perception that such warmth and love were hard to come by again, the reliance upon a compassionate Tiffany intensified stealthily. The fear of history repeating itself was developed unknowingly since the day she accepted the love provided by her angelic companion. Undoubtedly, that dreadful past has taught her the importance of cherish, but it wasn’t healthy when it is overdone, and Hyoyeon’s genuine piece of guidance has served as a good enlightenment.

“It is difficult... Or we could view it in a simpler way... Live life boldly... That’s my motto by the way...” After adding on logically to give her dissertation a bit more sense, Dr Kim ended on a lighter note with a snap on the finger, grinning childishly while doing so.

“Live life.... bold..ly...?” Progressively, Taeyeon has somehow ironed out her thoughts, untying those obdurate knots little by little. That statement coincides perfectly with the honest advice given by her employer. Take all chances, loving without reservations, live life to its fullest. The petite girl is indeed grateful that she is beginning to show the essence of it, since there are truly no regrets in taking this exigent test.

Once again, she smiles wholeheartedly.

“You can always make an appointment with my friendly secretary out there when you’re free. I shall look forward to our next meeting...” The beaming hypnotist escorts her client to the doorway before making a final bid.

Taeyeon lingered at the threshold after turning one-eighty to face her helpful consultant, earning a befuddled look from the latter. After seconds of silence, the former diffidently moved her lips, vocalising her foremost intention.

“Thank you.”

“That was certainly the best gratitude I’ve ever received.” Undeniably, Hyoyeon was appreciative of this simple portrayal of thankfulness. Those words were often taken for granted among ordinary people, but coming from a once-muted Taeyeon, it has exceptionally gained in magnitude.

The power of words was demonstrated perfectly.

Menacingly blowing wind disarrayed the short locks of a carefully threading short girl. On the contrary, the formulation of various ideas went on unperturbed in her mind.

I am really eager to tell her my genuine feelings... I have certainly waited too long for this day. Fany ah, do you know that your wish to hear me is coming true?

Even with the mounting excitement and anticipation to voice herself before Tiffany, Taeyeon mused about a likely possibility that she might stumble over her words, or maybe even failing to register any single spoken expression.

But it never crossed her mind at all to let her efforts wash down the drain. While coming up with an ideal approach to speak her mind in the face of her girlfriend, the thoughtful person caught sight of a unique wooden wind chime being hung near the porch of a small house, dancing gracefully in the gusty wind. Wordings were carved on it, giving a bit more substance to the already delicate item.

Taeyeon was then reminded of Dr Kim’s suggestion.

“You can always start by jotting down those things you wished to say, before making the effort to articulate them...”

An influx of ideas surge through her small brain and she begin to quicken her pace along the streets with a newly-established proposal in mind. Grinning from ear to ear, she whips out her mobile to seek for assistance from a reliable person, someone other than Tiffany whom she had known for years.

Sooyoungie, can you come over to our place now? I need your help. I will buy you lunch.

Uhm... You sounded urgent... Alrights... Gimme half an hour... Oh... and can we have kimchi pancakes?

After receiving an immediate agreement from the big-eater, Taeyeon ran and bounce her way home to embark on her little vital journey; a journey to conquer the last fading obstacle between them.

Took my hand
Touched my heart
Held me close
You were always there

Tiffany... Do you still remember those questions...?

Two energetic girls ran up the grassy peak of a hill before dropping down onto the green patch simultaneously. Shoulder to shoulder they lay on the ground, observing the cotton-candy like clouds floating above them.

“Ha... The sky seems nearer to us when we’re on the top...” While catching her breath, Tiffany commented in a chirpy manner after taking a glimpse of the picturesque sky. Her smaller friend on the other hand, creased her brows in disagreement to her unscientific statement.

It looks the same. She spread the arms a little wider and slides them horizontally.

“Just a matter of how you see it Taeyeon...” Smiling eyes were shown to a diminishing bemused face, before the beaming person gave a fleeting cute wink.

Tiffany allowed a loud sigh to escape her lips, as she lean closer to her quiet buddy.

“It’s just like... Even though I will only begin my 4-year stint in the States tomorrow, but I am already beginning to see my graduation day... And pop! I’ll be back standing right in front of you before you know it!” The rounded eyes of Taeyeon widen in reflex when the former dramatically snapped her fingers before her face, causing her to chuckle along the animated girl subsequently.

They then shifted their attention back to the gently lit sky, easing themselves on the mellow pasture underneath their bodies.

“Taetae ah... After regaining your voice... Who’s the first person you wish to speak to?” Tiffany broke the momentarily silence once more as she cast her eyes on the milky-white face of Taeyeon, who was oblivious of the longing gaze given by her taller friend.

She blinked repetitively while refraining from looking back at the awaiting Tiffany, before an irrepressible smirk plastered across her face.

Slowly, the smaller girl glided her left hand to reach for the latter’s motionless one and clasp them together fittingly. Taeyeon tenderly moved her fingers to write on the inner palm of the other person’s.

Who else? A cheeky grin was shown on perpetrator when both of their eyes met, and smiles grew wider as the eye contact lengthens.

Somehow, Tiffany has read her pal’s mind and knew the answer. But she decided to play along and moved her lips to speak.

“I don’t know who you’re referring to... There are many people... Such as Daddy... Sooyoung... Yea... Many others...” She tried to convince a giggling Taeyeon when she realised there weren’t ‘many others’ whom she had listed. As a result, the blushing girl received a pinch on the cheek from the latter.

It was certainly pleasing for Tiffany to know that she is being held in high regards by her petite friend, when she delved into those genuine expressive eyes, and it aroused her curiosity concerning what a reticent Taeyeon has always wanted to convey.

“What are the first words you wanna say to the person then?”

This time, astonishment was written all over the smaller girl’s face as she retracted her hand from caressing Tiffany’s hair and cheeks. Her eyes were still fixated on the innocent hazel ones of the other. However, gone was the initial tinge of affection behind her owns rounded orbs. Instead, a layer of ambiguity shrouded the pair of blank looking pupils. Taeyeon has no intention to avoid her friend’s query as she did give a serious consideration about it. It was just that she couldn’t possibly confess her ultimate feelings to her companion who was clueless about her secret admirations in an insincere way.

Sorry... I couldn’t reveal them now. But I promise when the right opportunity arrives, I will tell you those words that I have wanted to say all along... And in a little corner of my heart, I wish that they are what you have been waiting to hear, too.

Moreover, knowing that the taller girl is leaving soon, it is plainly unwise to disrupt her emotions and make their separation much harder. Hence, Taeyeon decide to swallow those rising sentiments back down , so as to protect whatever that is perfect between them. She gave a weak smile to her hopeful buddy, before gesturing simply in response.

Time will tell.

The shorter girl then got up and signal for the other to return home, leaving an initially excited Tiffany slightly disappointed.
***

Taeyeon did not forget her promise, as she chortles silently upon the recollection.

You are going to obtain the answers to them soon.

By my side
Night and day
Through it all
Maybe come what may

A girl with long brunette hair stood up from her desk in the middle of the office to stretch and loosen her muscles, which got stiffened owing to the long torturous hours of work. Tiffany was feeling exceptionally tired and lonesome, despite the fact that there were a couple of colleagues who were slogging as hard as her in the department. There weren’t new assignments for her to handle, but only more paperwork to clear, which made the job seem a bit mundane at the moment. She wished to motivate and inspire more needy patients like Yuri, yet the workload these days has somehow strayed away from her very fundamental objective in being a psychologist. The fatigue figure begins to question her main purpose that she had primary wanted to pursue in this occupation; which is to assist Taeyeon in recovering her speaking ability. Yes, she might have known about her beloved’s darkest fear, but eventually, she chose to forsake a potential opportunity, which she was greatly aware that it might be the only remedy for her girlfriend’s condition.

Tiffany then plops back down on her swivelling chair and hit her cheeks vigorously to ward off those negative thoughts, as she convinced herself that exhaustion has got the better of her. Besides, she silently admit those growing feelings of missing a significant party, and she sulk a bit when she was reminded of not receiving any lunch dates initiated by the latter, nor caring messages which her adorable partner is very capable of.

To make things worse, it was about time for the disenchanted person to knock off, and the puppy-eyed girl dislikes going home alone, especially the fact that she has seemingly got used to Taeyeon’s accompaniment for most of the evenings.

She must be really busy. Perhaps I could make a visit to the gallery and deliver dinner for that lovely dork.

Smiling at her brilliant idea, Tiffany returned to tie up the loose ends, since she is now motivated and looking forward to the end of work. Saving all important documents, she is just a click away to call it a day. Before she could lift her bum off the chair, an unexpected big head popped up just above the cubicle, giving a huge startle to the almost prepared person.

“Good evening Miss Tiffany Hwang... May I have the pleasure to invite you for a meal together?” Sooyoung greeted her frowning friend with a weird nasal voice.

“Geez... Can you please give a knock on my table in the future? Oh and sorry... I’m intending to visit Taeyeon soon... So no free meals today...” The shorter woman reaches for her handbag and was about to make her way past the obstructing person, only to be held back by the latter instantaneously.

“Oh but things would be a little different if I say it was Taeyeon who sent me here...” This time, the taller girl made herself heard again with a normal voice.

“Taeyeon?”

“Yep... Uh... I’m on a mission... Well she said she’s currently unavailable at the moment... So she wanted me to have dinner with you on her behalf...”

“How credible is your statement? It couldn’t be that she would notify you earlier than me...” Tiffany is sceptical and displease at the same time, wondering if what her giant friend has said was true. But her cheerless expression alters into a slight smile when she received a message from the absent person, at long last.

Sorry my dear, I’m doing something important right now, but I’ll make it up to u soon... ^_^

“Alrights... Where shall we go for a bite?” Sooyoung smirks at her friend’s eventual submission to her request before exiting the office with her arms being encircled by the other.

The two had their usual favourites at the Swedish cafe where they commonly hang out. For Tiffany in particular, it is a place full of unforgettable memories, predominantly in relation to her petite partner.

“This is still the best place for food... And the best place for a heart-to-heart session as well...” The big eye shikshin commented as she drags the plate of pastries nearer.

“Oh? You came here with Sunny often didn’t you...?” Crescent slits were shown when the shorter one belt out a playful remark.

“I bet it was YOU who came here often with your Taetae... Anyways... I was abruptly reminded that a couple of months ago... I was here with a friend, who said she had some heart problems... And she was like telling me how abnormal her heart rate would be whenever she saw her cute friend...”

Tiffany stayed silent by sipping onto her coffee with an attempt to hide her blushing face, as she perfectly knows who her taller friend was referring to. In spite of this, Sooyoung showed no mercy with her continued teases and sarcasms.

“And I played the role of an adviser by telling her that she has to be true to her own feelings... Leaving her almost speechless for the whole conversation just like what you’re doing now...”

“Yah... yah yah! Enough of it...”

“What... I’m not referring to you...”

“You know you are...”

“Well... but aren’t you grateful to me? Or you wouldn’t have ended up with that cute kid today... I’m your matchmaker...”

“Ha! Matchmaker for goodness sake... Doesn’t even realise that we got together until your observant girlfriend pointed it out to you blatantly...”

“Fine. But deep inside, I know that you’re actually thankful to have such a good confidant.”

“No. I will be equally contented just to have my Taeyeon...”

“Oh okays then... I can leave now and you will never get the indication given by your Taetae.”

“Hey! What indication...?” A clueless Tiffany furrowed her brows in query and she is getting a little more curious as to what her taller friend has up her sleeves.

“Actually... I’m on this mission instructed by Captain Taeng. She ordered me to stall your time and pass you this...” Sooyoung begin to fumble through her shoulder bag before fishing out a neatly rolled paper. She slides it across the white table and the recipient took hold of it, giving a puzzled look.

“Your meeting place...” The busily-eating person added on as she observes her close friend carefully untying the piece of drawing.

“The oak tree...? The one in our backyard?”

“Yeah... She should be there waiting now... She has something for you...”

“You guys planned this together, isn’t it?”

“No. It was all her idea.”

All her idea?

The simple but honest confession made by the lanky girl, evoked a wave of emotions in an increasingly baffled Tiffany. She then deduced that the indifference shown by her lover today was only part of the thoughtful arrangement. Unable to control a smile from creeping onto her flushing face, her heart tickles with anticipation as she wonder about the unexpected surprises awaiting back home, even though she has absolutely no idea of Taeyeon’s intention. The pouting person then tries to recall if it was some special occasion that she has unintentionally forgot about, muttering mechanically in the process.

“Is there something significant today?”

“It doesn’t have to be an important date for Taeyeon to do something sweet like this...”

“Uhm true... Just that... She makes me feel so lucky...”

Sooyoung, who knew the real reason behind it, could not help but let loose of a candid but earnest comment.

“Fany ah... I can confidently say... There should be no one else who can love you like she does. Neither will there be anyone who can love her like you do...”

Tiffany knows it wasn’t a plain and blasé commentary from her childhood playmate. The long-legged person may always talk about nothing in particular, but when she wants to bring across something crucial, she does it frankly without hesitations.

On the other hand, Sooyoung was exceptionally envious of the bond shared between her two closest friends, adding to the fact that she has witnessed their undying love in spite of all obstacles.

For the first time, the duo reached a consensus in that rightful statement when broad smiles were exchanged.

“I think I’ve wasted much of your time... Get going... And for once... This coffee is on me...”

“Thanks bud.” The leaving person received a wink from the former before making the shortest way out of the cafe.

The sitting form then silently bestows blessings to her long-time buddies as she clears the last piece of biscotti.

Refusing to let any seconds tick by, Tiffany flung her bag onto the nearby couch once she stepped into the capacious living room. She finally arrived at the backyard, patting her chest to smoothen her breaths but was slightly dismayed at the sight of an empty field. However, as soon as she made a leftward turn, a spectacular view of an adorned oak tree emerged before the long-haired girl.

Under the lavender sky, pieces of red heart-shaped papers hanging on the branches caught the attention of an astounded Tiffany. Cautiously treading forward, she gasped in awe at those painstakingly written notes sweetly tied onto the barren tree. The fully captivated person was oblivious to her approaching lover, as she conscientiously interprets one of the messages.

Just like this oak tree, our love is here to stay, forever and unbreakable.

Taeyeon quietly studies the expressions of an emotionally-overwhelmed Tiffany as she lessens the distance between them. Those sparkling and moist crescent eyes, along with a tense and tightly sealed pinkish lips, were slowly etched into her mind. Every single look given by the angelic girl never fails to make her enchanted. A bit-lipped smile was then shown on the smaller girl as she curbs her jitteriness.

Swept away on a wave of emotion
Overcaught in the eye of a storm
And whenever you smile
I can’t hardly believe that you’re mine

Fingers were interlaced the moment she stood beside her still-engrossed partner. Taeyeon gives a warm smile when their eyes slowly convene.

“Taetae...” Heaps of thought were occupying Tiffany’s mind when the girl before her looks back intently. Before she could bombard the latter with all her accumulated queries, the next move by her lover prevented her from doing so.

A silvery necklace was unveiled and without deliberation, Taeyeon gently clasp it at the back of her lover’s neck while giving a longing stare at the glittery item. Tears were getting apparent in the couple, specifically, a shell-shock Tiffany after she took notice of the wordings inscribed on the dangling ring before her chest.

‘Tae <3 Ny’

“Taeyeon ah... What’s with all th...”

“Tippany.”

An acute silence fittingly reflected the disbelief and amazement derived from a speechless Tiffany. She was rather certain that she had seen the small peachy lips moving magically. The surprised form tried to self-convince that it wasn’t a delusion as her ears had clearly absorbed the soft and pitch-perfect voice. Moreover, she was less concern of the mispronunciation by her adorable girlfriend as it came across effectively significant despite the inadequacy. After all, it was the first word she heard from the once-muted girl.

Similarly for Taeyeon, she likes the feel of Tiffany’s name on her lips. Although much courage was needed behind that first word, she was glad to pull it off eventually, disregarding the b emotions within her. Even so, her mission wasn’t accomplished as she now stares anxiously at her endearing lover. Without shifting her eyes away from the hopeful ones of the other, she inhales a long deep breath.

You’ve already written all your heartfelt thoughts on the papers. It’s just three words Taeyeon. Say it.

“I... have three words for you.”

“I love you Tippany.”

Unquestionably, Tiffany knows how much she is being loved by the significant other. The answer has already rest deeply in her heart from the very first form of affection she has received, even if it was just a mere touch on her face or Taeyeon’s awkward attempts to place a peck on her forehead. However today, nothing could be compared to that verbal assertion which has succeeded in leaving a massive imprint on Tiffany’s heart, because words that speak the truth are the most valuable. Tiffany knew the impact that spoken words can deliver, as she has been using them as tools in her profession. Yet, she greatly knows they were nowhere in the league as compared to those simple words articulated by the sincere party.

But the thing that came as a greater surprise for her was the incredible change in Taeyeon. Gone was the reticent and insecure girl who hides her true emotions. Standing before her, is a determined and positive Taeyeon who can bare her soul fearlessly. Love can indeed create miracles.

In contrast to Tiffany’s cascading tears, the beam on the smaller girl’s face radiates brightly under the gradually dimming sky.

Taeyeon ah... I guess you are also the only one who can tug my heart effortlessly with every single thing you do. I love you.

Without a word, the taller girl tackled the love of her life with an emotive hug, causing the latter to tumble back a bit. Taeyeon then habitually buries her head into the broader shoulders of Tiffany as she lovingly caresses the long back, fully relishing this hard-earned moment.

The duo then breaks the embrace slightly to face each other, allowing a gradually composed Tiffany to nitpick her small and cute partner.

“By the way... That’s four words you pabo...” Perhaps it was the earlier emotional episode that resulted in a hoarse voice from the taller person, making it sounds more like a whimper. Taeyeon’s eyes widen a little hastily in guiltiness.

“Sorry.”

Warped brows were seen on Tiffany’s face as she was amused by the fretful and apologetic expression by the other, since she has only meant it as a tease. But those crescent eyes proved the otherwise and Taeyeon’s originally tensed shoulders begin to descend with ease. Feeling encouraged and comfortable to vocalise her thoughts, the smaller girl utters another short but heartfelt phrase.

“Thank you.”

It isn’t very necessary for Tiffany to make any verbal response. All she has to do is to accept those love and gratitude that her lover has to show.

The proximity between the emotional couple increases as their lips meet seamlessly. Under the witness of the huge oak tree, Taeyeon and Tiffany pledge themselves to this unbreakable relationship with a tender kiss. It was the place where their love began, and the dangling hearts represent the fruits of their everlasting love.

Despite the regain in Tayeeon’s speaking ability, the best form of communication between the two, is none other than their magnetic eyes. They wiggle their noses together after disjointing their lips, making a silent declaration.

Your love is a miracle.
Your love is a miracle.

This love is unbreakable
It’s unmistakable
And each time I look in your eyes
I know why
This love is untouchable
A feel that my heart just can’t deny
Each time I look in your eyes
Oh baby, I know why
This love is unbreakable

Chapter 1: Aww, what a cute intro to this story ☺️ I can’t even imagine what kind of trauma Tae experienced to lose her parents and the inability to speak 🥲

Chapter 16: Having these people around them really helped their growth, and also they were a great help to these people too.
It is so nice to be surrounded by people who truly cares.
And now, they are willing to share the love they got to the people they think needs it.
Seohyun's so adorable, acting the big sister role and being by Yoona's side. I'm glad Taeyeon and Tiffany had the same thing on mind. ❤️🥹

Chapter 15: From what they've been through, this is really their moment.
Hearing those words from the one you love and that voice she longs for...
They really are a miracle to each other.
I love how their story unfold and realized their worth to each other, how they accepted and understood each other...

Chapter 14: It's so nice of Hyoyeon to try to explain to Taeyeon what's her observation on her and suggesting something that could help her regain her voice.
Mr. Joo's phone call with his family is also a great help, without him knowing, how he shows his love to his family.
That phonecall between Tiffany and Taeyeon must be sad, though Taeyeon could hear her, she can't express how she feels to Tiffany who's on the other side of the world. I admire Tiffany's patience.
That scenario Hyoyeon made is the wake up call Taeyeon needed.

Chapter 13: Sunny's right, Taeyeon's a baby! 😁
I like how Tiffany related their fight to Sunny's fight with Sooyoung, Taeyeon being unable to speak, thus lesser talk. It's a matter of understanding for both parties and compromise.
Being the kind of doctor she is, I'm glad Hyoyeon still cares and suggested something that could help Taeyeon...

Chapter 12: Yuri and Jessica! As much as they are thankful for Tiffany because of her help, professionally and as a friend, I think she too, learned from these girls. The love they had for each other especially during tough times...
It's very touching scene where Tiffany only wants a happy Taeyeon and wants to shield her from all the pain... 🥹

Chapter 11: That feeling when one of your beloved who you look up to and respect give you the acceptance and understanding you need for the relationship you thought was forbidden....
I admire Mr. Hwang's point of view regarding the two, especially Tiffany's feelings since losing her mother on such early years.
And Taeyeon wanting to give back to the people who became her family and gave all the love and care without wanting something in return... 🥹
I'm really loving the feels this story is giving me. ❤️

Chapter 9: That lollipop scene is so cute and funny! At the same time, a sign that their relationship is on a different level now. 😁

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Oh my! I'm glad Tiffany took that leap!
It must be hard for Taeyeon to feel that way. It's hard not to feel unworthy of things, or in this case someone, because of lacking something and that someone you like is close to perfect.
I like it that they seem to know each other so much, but in reality they have been learning more about them because of the people around them. 🥹
I'm enjoying this so much!

Chapter 7: I like how Yuri's point of view is described here. How she feels, being compared to falling into a well, the one who is down the well looking up and the one looking down the well. The difference of how those two felt.
Now Tiffany has more insight of what Taeyeon might be going through.
