Time to Say Goodbye

At Charles de Gaulle Airport

“Aigoo.. Look at them,” Jessica said while looking at the two siblings who were busy playing with their toys at the waiting area. Today is the day where Choi-Jung family will return to LA. Although Hani said earlier that she felt sad to part with her mother and her siblings, but when it comes to playing time, she immediately forgot about it. Jessica has made a promise to visit her during school holiday, or Yuri will take her to LA to visit them. Little Danny was still too small to play with his sisters, so he just sat on his mother’s lap while holding his favorite car toys.

“Hani looked happy although she said she was sad just now. I hope she won’t cry while seeing you guys entering the boarding gate later,” Yuri replied as he chuckled.

“I think she will understand, though. She’s a clever girl. Besides, she has you, Yoona and her grandparents, so she won’t feel alone,” Jessica said. Yoona on the other hand just smiled over her words. They were at the waiting area while waiting for Sooyoung to settle the check-in process at the check-in counter.

“Want to grab our dinner together before we check-in?,” Jessica asked.

“Yeah, sure. Why not? I bet those two want to have their dinner at fast food restaurant,” Yuri replied.

“Fast food? Remember what your Seohyunnie said if you’re eating fast food so much?,” Jessica said sarcastically. Yuri laughed while shook his head, causing Yoona raised her brows as she didn’t get of what the two were saying. She knew Seohyun was Yuri’s cousin.

“You will die early, oppa,” Yuri replied, still laughing. “And then, you remember what I told her after that?,” Yuri asked.

“Yeah. Fast food restaurant owner will cry if they heard of what you’re saying,” Jessica replied while giggling. Yoona couldn’t help as she was laughing at their conversation. “How was she? Still in ‘honeymoon’ phase with Hyoyeon, huh?,” she asked.

“Yeah. You know how busy they were. I should have asked her to change her post from a resident doctor to just a family doctor. But, you know how stubborn she is, right? She wanted to become a humanitarian worker, not just a plain doctor. Hyo couldn’t say anything about it as he knew his wife well. Let’s just pray that she will change her mind someday and they will have a child soon,” he replied.

“Really? She never change, huh? Yeah, I hope they will have a child soon. Hani will have a little cousin to play with,” she said as she shifted her gaze at her eldest daughter and smiled.

“I think she will have another sibling first before a little cousin,” Yuri playfully said and smiled in mischievous, causing Yoona’s eyebrows raised as she was surprised by his unexpected words. Her hand automatically smacked on his thigh. Yuri yelped in pain, but then he just chuckled. Jessica was confused with Yuri’s word at first, but then her eyes widened in surprise.

“Don’t tell me! You’re pregnant?,” Jessica exclaimed in surprise while looking at Yoona.

“No, I’m not, Sica unnie. Aishh.. Why are you saying that?,” Yoona replied while scolding Yuri. The latter on the other hand just laughing.

“Chill, Sica! I was just kidding! The real thing is like this. I had proposed to her last night, and she said yes. So, we are planning to have our wedding soon, but we are still not decided about the date yet,” he explained.

“Really? Wow! Congratulations, you two!,” Jessica excitedly congratulates the couple.

“Hehe.. thank you, unnie!,” Yoona replied as she giggled shyly.

“Congratulations for what? Am I missing something important here?,” a familiar voice suddenly interrupted.

“Hey, honey! Hurry up and congratulate these two. They will be getting married soon,” Jessica said to Sooyoung. His eyes widened in surprise.

“Really? When? We will make sure to clear our schedules to attend the happy day of you two,” Sooyoung also felt surprised after receiving good news from the couple.

“Not yet, Soo. We are just planning to have it soon,” Yuri replied as he smiled.

“I think the sooner the better, Yuri. We are not young anymore, and you two should have kids as many as possible,” Sooyoung said as he took a seat next to Yuri, and took Danny to sit on his lap.

“Ya! What do you think we are? A child factory?,” Jessica snapped while shooting daggers to Sooyoung. Yuri and Yoona just chuckled at their antics.

“Aigoo, chill babe! You know I’m just saying, right?,” Sooyoung replied.

“Calm down, you two. Let’s have our dinner first,” Yuri said as he got up from his seat, followed by Yoona. The two then walked towards where Hani and Daniella were playing.

“Where are we going, daddy?,” Hani asked.

“McDonalds. You two like it, right?,” Yuri replied. Yoona was carrying Daniella in her arms.

“McDonalds? Yeayy! Daniella like!,” the four year old little girl cheered happily, causing the adults chuckled on her cute act. Her parents on the other hand just shook their heads, knowing that Daniella loves to eat fast food so much.

“Jessica’s genes in their blood. The two love eating fast food so much,” Yuri said to Yoona, and the latter chuckled.

“Ya! It’s Sooyoung who loves eating fast food, not me,” Jessica snapped. Sooyoung just chuckled as he knew his wife so well.

“Yeah, we enjoyed it so much, right baby?,” Sooyoung said to his little girl.

“Yes, daddy,” Daniella replied. Jessica just shook her head while glaring at the two.

“Kaja!,” Yuri exclaimed while swinging his entwined hands with Hani. The little girl laughing happily as they were heading towards the fast food restaurant.

“Here,” Hani handed her favorite Elsa’s soft toys to Daniella.

“Unnie don’t want this?,” the little girl asked as she took the soft toys from her.

“Unnie will buy another one later. This is for you. You will remember unnie when playing with this, right?,” Hani said to her little sister.

“Yes, unnie. Daniella will always remember unnie,” the little girl said. Hani grinned and spread her arms wide.

“Let’s hug,” she said. The two siblings then hugging each other, causing the adults smiled while watching in awe on the cute sight in front of them. Yuri quickly fished out his phone and secretly snapped an adorable photo of the two sisters. Yoona on the other hand, just smiling while leaning closer to Yuri to look at the photo he took just now.

“So cute,” she said. Yuri smiled while nodding his head in agreement.

“Let’s take a family photo together,” Sooyoung said as he took out his digital camera from his backpack.

“That’s great. I will ask someone to take a photo for us,” Yuri replied while his eyes wandering around the area. He then spotted a young couple who happened to walk passing them and he quickly walking towards them.

“Excuse me! Can you please take a photo for us?,” he asked.

“Sure,” the man replied while mouthing to his partner to wait for a while. Sooyoung then handed the camera to the young man and he gave him some instructions on how to use the camera.

“Alright. Ready?,” the man said. Yuri gave him thumbs up indicating that they were ready. “One, two, three, say cheese!,” he said while pressing the camera button to capture their unforgettable moment on that evening. After capturing a couple of different poses, he then handed the camera back to Sooyoung.

“Thank you so much,” he thanked the young man. The man replied as he giving an ‘OK’ sign before he walked back to his partner who was patiently waiting for him.

“Can you share those photos with us?,” Yuri asked. Sooyoung nodded as he smiled.

“Sure, why not? Let me on the bluetooth first,” he said as he searched the bluetooth icon on the LCD screen of the camera and tapped it on.

“Thanks, Soo. That guy is so good in taking our photos. It turns out well,” Yuri said while looking at the photo.

“Yeah, agree. Look at the freestyle photo. It’s funny but yet look a bit artistic. He’s so good in giving instruction to us on how to pose. He got a skill on that,” Sooyoung replied.

“Yeah, I think so,” Yuri said. He then looked at little Danny who was leaning his head on his mother’s shoulder. He looked rather sleepy.

“Ya, little Danny is sleepy. I think he must have felt full from eating french fries earlier,” Yuri said.

“I don’t want to let him to eat fast food, but he’s way too fast to grab that and stuffed into his mouth. He’s still too little to eat that kind of food,” Jessica replied. Sooyoung then took little Danny from his wife’s arms, and patted his son’s back gently to soothe him to sleep.

“Thanks, honey. He’s getting heavier after having dinner just now,” she said as she chuckled.

“Glad that he felt sleepy. It’s a long flight, and I’m afraid he will throw his tantrum if he feel tired or not getting enough sleep,” Sooyoung replied.

“Toddler is always like that. They’re still small to endure such a long flight,” Yuri said. Not long after, an announcement being heard, calling the passengers for flights to LA to enter the boarding gate.

“How time flies,” Jessica said sadly. She then walked closer to Hani and squatted down to hug her eldest daughter.

“Mommy will see you again soon, okay? Take care of your health, eat well, study well. Listen to your daddy, mommy Yoona, haraboji and halmeoni, arasso?,” Jessica said while caressing Hani’s hair.

“Dae, mommy. Hani will listen to them well, and eat well too. Don’t worry, okay?,” the little girl replied. Jessica smiled and leaned closer to kiss on her both cheeks. She then hugged her tight for the last time before she halted the hug and got up. She turned around to wipe the tears on her cheek. She was a bit emotional as she has to leave her daughter once again.

“Don’t be sad, Sica. You can always spend your time with Hani later,” Yuri said as he noticed that Jessica was hiding her crying earlier.

“Daniella can meet unnie again, right?,” the four year old little girl asked Hani. She then pulled her little sister into a hug.

“Yes, you can, little bunny. Like daddy said, you, mommy and baby Danny can spend time with unnie later. We will meet again soon, okay?,” Hani said. Yuri smiled as he felt proud on how mature his daughter sounded ever since she knew she have siblings. It was like she knew that she has a little responsible to carry as the eldest daughter of Jessica Jung, and the first granddaughter of The Jungs.

After they bid goodbye to each other, Yuri, Hani and Yoona waving their hands at the Choi-Jung family and watching them entering the boarding gate until they disappeared from their sight.

“Are you okay?,” Yoona asked Hani who was walking hand-in-hand with her, just to check on her feelings. Yuri has already went to the parking space to take their rental car.

“I’m okay, mommy. I miss them already,” Hani said as she let out a small smile. Yoona smiled as she understands Hani’s feeling at the moment. Although she spent such a short time with her siblings, she felt a sudden longing to have them by her side.

“Don’t be sad, okay? Mommy and daddy will always be by your side. How about we go to the amusement park later?,” Yoona said. Hani’s eyes suddenly lit up the moment she heard the ‘amusement park’ word. She then nodded her head vigorously, causing Yoona laughed at her cute reaction.

“Later when we go to Italy tomorrow. We can go to Gardaland Theme Park, it’s similar to Disneyland like they have it here,” Yoona said.

“Chincha, mommy?,” Hani asked.

“Yes, sweetie. We will ask your daddy to join us later,” she replied.

“Yeay! Gardaland!,” Hani cheered happily. Yoona just laughed while both of them continue walking towards the exit door.

“She said she missed them right after we left the airport,” Yoona said while caressing Hani’s hair. They were already at the hotel room, and after taking shower, Hani asked Yoona to sleep at their room. So, here they are, cramped in the king sized bed with Hani at the centre. The little girl has already in her dreamland. Yuri and Yoona were still awake, watching the late night movie on the TV.

“Chincha? Yeah, I understand her feelings though. It was such a short time for her to play with her dongsaeng, and she couldn’t get enough time for that. I wish Jessica will change her mind to stay in Seoul after she met Hani. But, yeah, it’s just my wish. I don’t think her parents will allow her to do so since they have already lived there for years,” Yuri replied.

“I think you don’t have to do that. We can still visit each other during school holidays. I will make sure you and me will clear our schedule during that time. We can make it as a family vacation. You can bring your parents too if they want,” Yoona suggested.

“That’s a great idea, babe. I like that. As I will return to my old job as a ranch owner, so I will have more free time to spend with Hani,” he said.

“Oh, no you don’t. You’re still working as my bodyguard for a lifetime,” Yoona insisted. Yuri let out a soft chuckle, causing Yoona furrowed her brows.

“Of course, I will be your bodyguard for the rest of your life, babe,” he said while giggling.

“Aishh.. That’s not funny, Kwon Yuri!,” she snapped at him.

“I’m just kidding, though. Chill, babe. Although you didn’t ask, I will always be there to protect you. You’re soon-to-be my wife after all,” he said. Yoona couldn’t help as she smiled on his words. Yuri definitely is such a sweet talker, but she knew he really meant it.

“Well, thank you for that. We should sleep right now. Tomorrow we have a flight to catch,” Yoona replied as she started to lie down on the bed.

“Arasso. I will switch off the TV,” he said as he took the remote control on the bedside table and press the switch off button. He then fixed the cover on his daughter.

“Good night, babe,” he said to Yoona.

“Hmm.. good night, honey,” Yoona replied as her eyes were already closed.
