London - Part 2

 

“Jeongmal! I can’t believe she’s fast asleep after her stomach full,” Yuri said while looking at his daughter who was sleeping peacefully with her head on his lap. She kept on yawning after the dinner, and Yuri carried his daughter into his arms while heading towards the car.

 

“She’s still jet lag, though. We just arrived here after twelve hours of flight,” Yoona replied while her eyes still focusing on the road.

 

“Yeah, I think so,” he replied. The trio were heading back to the hotel after having dinner at London Steakhouse. After about half an hour of driving, they finally arrived at the parking space in the hotel. Yuri carefully lifted his daughter and carrying her into his arms, while Yoona helping him to open the door and waiting for him to heading out of the car.

 

“Thanks,” he thanked her for helping him to open the elevator’s door. Yoona just nodded and smiled in reply. She also helped him to hold the elevator’s door while Yuri walking out of it with Hani in his arms.

 

“It’s okay. I can open the door myself,” Yuri said when Yoona offered him to open his room’s door for him.

 

“Arasso. I’ll see you two on tomorrow’s morning during breakfast. Don’t be late,” she replied.

 

“Okay. Good night, Yoona!,” Yuri said as he entered inside his room.

 

“Ermm.. y-yeah.. Good night!,” she replied awkwardly, and quickly heading towards her room.

 

Yuri slowly walking towards the bed, and carefully laid his little girl on it. Hani suddenly startled, but then she slowly opened her sleepy and tired eyes while looking at her father.

 

“Daddy, can I sleep at imo’s room?,” she asked in a hoarse voice. Yuri raised his brows as he was surprised with her question, but then he eventually smiled.

 

“You really don’t want to sleep with daddy, huh?,” he replied as he chuckled.

 

“Daddy’s snoring is too loud. Hani can’t sleep when daddy snore,” she nonchalantly said, causing Yuri burst into laughing.

 

“Daddyyy!,” the little girl whined with her eyes half closed.

 

“Aishh.. This brat! Ya, don’t disturb imo at this late of night. What about you sleep with her on tomorrow’s night?,” Yuri said. Hani didn’t answer him, and the little girl just pouting sadly. “Aishh.. You, Kwon Hani. I really can’t believe you!,” Yuri mumbled while shook his head in disbelief. He then sat on the bed, and picked up the handy and dialled Yoona’s room number.

 

“Hello?,” Yoona immediately answered.

 

“Ermm.. Yuri’s here. I’m sorry to disturb you. This little brat.. I mean, Hani wants to sleep at your room tonight. I’m sor..,” Yuri was about to continue his words when Yoona suddenly cut him off.

 

“It’s okay, Yuri. Just send her to my room,” Yoona replied as she hung up. Yuri stared at the handy in disbelief.

 

“You’re so unbelievable, Kwon Hani!,” he mumbled. He then got up from the bed, and walking towards the wardrobe to take Hani’s pyjama.

 

“Hani ya, let’s change your clothes to pyjama,” he said as he closed the wardrobe and heading towards his little girl at the bed. Hani lazily raised her both hands, and Yuri carefully pulled the shirt up and put the pyjama on her daughter.

 

“There,” he said after he done putting the pyjama on his daughter. He then grabbed Hani’s hand and led her to the door of the room. He opened the door and let Hani went out first before he took the key card and closed the door.

 

“Hani ya, press the doorbell button,” Yuri instructed. Hani obediently followed his father’s words as she quickly pressed the doorbell button. After the first attempt, the door slowly opened, revealing Yoona who’s already changing her casual clothes into pyjama.

 

“Hani ya,” Yoona called her name as she smiled.

 

“Can Hani sleep with imo?,” Hani asked.

 

“Of course you can, sweetie. Let’s get inside,” she replied as she took Hani’s hand and gently pulled her inside the room.

 

“Just send her back on tomorrow’s morning,” Yuri said.

 

“Arasso. Good night!,” Yoona replied as she quickly closed the door, causing Yuri startled.

 

“Jeongmal!,” he mumbled while shook his head in disbelief. He let out a sigh before he turned his heels towards his room.

The next morning

 

“KRINGGG!”

 

“Urghh!,” Yuri groaned when the phone’s alarm keep on ringing, causing him immediately got up and sat on the bed. He lazily took his phone that was on the bed side table, and slide the phone screen to stop the alarm. The time on the phone shows it’s already eight in the morning. Since he’s already promised to have breakfast together with Yoona and his daughter, he set the alarm to wake him up. He then got up and for his morning routine, he did a little stretching exercise when he suddenly heard the sound of his room doorbell. He quickly walking towards the door, and unlock the door to open it.

 

“Good morning, daddy!,” Hani cheerfully greeted him.

 

“Good morning, baby. You look happy this morning. Did you have a good sleep last night?,” Yuri asked.

 

“Yes, daddy. Hani have a good sleep last night.

 

“Good. Come, you need to wash up first before we can have our breakfast,” Yuri said as he grabbed his daughter’s hand and gently pulled her to get inside the room.

 

“I’ll wait for you two at the cafe. Don’t be late,” Yoona said.

 

“Yes, madam! We won’t be late,” Yuri said as he rolled his eyes annoyingly.

 

“Aiguu.. So childish!,” Yoona mumbled while squinted her eyes at him. Yuri immediately closed the door, causing Yoona startled and hissed.

 

“How can you have this kind of father, Hani ya? He’s so immature,” she mumbled in annoyed tone as she immediately turned her heels and walking towards the elevator.

 

“Alright, done!,” Yuri said after he finished braiding his daughter’s hair.

 

“Hani look like Elsa, daddy,” Hani said while looking at the mirror. Yuri smiled on her words.

 

“Yes, sweetie. Alright, you wait here. Daddy need to wash up fast. Otherwise Yoona imo will scolded us for being late,” Yuri said.

 

“Daddy, can Hani watch cartoon channel while waiting?,” she asked.

 

“Of course you can, sweetie,” Yuri replied as he took the TV remote control and switch on the TV for Hani. After he done so, he quickly sprinted to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

 

Yoona keep on glancing the cafe’s main main door as it’s already half an hour since she entered the cafe. She was about to dial Yuri’s phone number when suddenly she saw Yuri entering the cafe with Hani, walking hand in hand. Hani looked cute with her braided hairstyle and wearing blue denim overall skirt. Yuri on the other hand looked casually handsome with a plain collared polo white shirt paired with blue denim jeans.

 

“Yoona imo!,” Hani exclaimed excitedly as she immediately released her hand from her father’s grip and ran towards the table where Yoona was sitting.

 

“Aigoo.. You look so pretty, Hani ya,” Yoona said as she opened her arms to hug the little girl.

 

“Thank you, imo. Daddy did Hani’s hair like Elsa,” Hani replied while twisting her body to show Yoona her braided hairstyle.

 

“Ah, no wonder he took time to do this. Hmm.. not bad,” she thought.

 

“It’s a pretty hairstyle. Hani likes Elsa?,” Yoona asked.

 

“Yes, imo. Hani likes Elsa very much. Daddy bought so many Elsa collections for Hani,” she proudly said.

 

“Ah, I see. Alright, after we have our breakfast, imo will bring Hani to Disneyland, and we can buy lots of Elsa collection, how about that?,” Yoona said.

 

“Chincha?,” Hani asked. Yoona nodded as to confirm.

 

“Here we go again!,” Yuri said as he took his seat next to his daughter.

 

“She’s just a kid, Yuri. Just let her be,” Yoona replied.

 

“Don’t pamper her too much. I don’t like it,” Yuri said in serious tone.

 

“And why? You have money to buy her everything that she wants, though,” she replied in curious.

 

“Yes, we do have a money, but that’s not the right way to teach her about life. She needs to learn what she can and can’t do in her life. I taught her on that since she was small, so, if she wants something, she need to work for it, or there’s a limit on using it,” he said.

 

“Impressive,” Yoona thought.

 

“Alright, Life Guru! I will go with Hani to take the food for breakfast first. Come, Hani,” Yoona said as she got up from her seat, and extended her hand to Hani. Hani gladly took her hand, and the two walking hand in hand towards the buffet table.

 

“These two really drives me crazy. Aishh..,” Yuri said to himself while watching the two walking away from their table.

“Wow! Imo! Look at that!,” Hani exclaimed excitedly while pointing her finger at the castle. They could see so many of Disney’s characters were gathering in front of the castle, waving their hands at the visitors and tourists who were passing by the building.

 

“You want to go there?,” Yoona asked.

 

“Dae!,” Hani enthusiastically replied. Yoona just chuckled on her cute act. She then grabbed the little girl’s hand and entwined their hands together, heading to the castle building. Yuri sighed and just followed them suit.

 

“Daddy, look! Mickey and Minnie Mouse over there!,” Hani said excitedly after she saw her father’s favorite cartoon characters. Yuri immediately turned his head towards where his daughter was pointing at. He then clapping his hands excitedly, causing Yoona looked at him weirdly.

 

“Ya, Im Yoona! Please take my picture with Mickey and Minnie, palli!,” Yuri said as he handed his digital camera to Yoona and jogged towards the cartoon characters. He asked their permission to take photos with them, and the Mickey Mouse character nodded.

 

“Jeongmal!,” Yoona mumbled while looking at Yuri in disbelief. Although she’s a bit annoyed with Yuri's act, but then she just granted his wish to take a picture with those cartoon characters. After she finished taking some of their pictorial pose, Yuri thanked to them and jogged back towards Yoona, and the latter handed his camera back to him. Yuri checked on the pictures Yoona had taken, and he smiled in satisfaction.

 

“Ya, not bad!,” he said to her.

 

“Tch! That’s nothing,” she cockily said while crossing her arms. Yuri just rolled his eyes on her words.

 

“Daddy happy?,” Hani asked.

 

“Of course, sweetie. It’s not like we can always meet them. Daddy will take your picture with Elsa if we meet her later, how about that?,” Yuri replied.

 

“Okay!,” the little girl replied excitedly. Yoona just smiled while watching an adorable conversation between a father and his daughter.

 

“Imo want daddy to take picture too?,” Hani suddenly asked her.

 

“Huh? Imo don’t have any favorite Disney characters, sweetie,” Yoona replied as she smiled.

 

“Chincha? What is imo’s favorite cartoon character?,” the little girl asked again.

 

“Rilakkuma. Imo likes Rilakkuma,” she replied. Yuri just chuckled silently upon hearing her answer.

 

“Ah, Rilakkuma,” the little girl said.

 

“You know Rilakkuma, right?,” Yoona asked.

 

“Ne, imo. Hani’s friend in school likes Rilakkuma too. It’s a brown bear and he have friends named Korilakkuma, Kiiroitori, and Chairoikoguma,” Hani replied. Yoona’s eyes widened in surprise after hearing her answer about Rilakkuma characters.

 

“Hani ya! You’re so brilliant, you know that? You know lots of cartoon characters more than imo thought,” Yoona said in awe while patted on the little girl’s head gently. Hani just grinned, causing Yoona chuckled on her cute antics.

 

“Hani ya! That’s Elsa!,” Yuri said while pointing at the woman who was wearing Elsa's costume. The two quickly turned their heads towards where Yuri was pointing at.

 

“Imo, daddy! Let’s go there. Hani wants to take picture with Elsa!,” the little girl excitedly said while pulling Yoona’s hand. The two then started running towards the Elsa character, leaving Yuri who began to walk faster as he tried to catch up with them.

After having fun in taking pictures with their favorite cartoon characters and playing indoor and outdoor games, the trio halted their activities for a while as it has already entered the lunch time. They began to feel hungry, and following with Yoona’s suggestion, they went to the restaurant nearby to fill their empty stomach.

 

“Shall we have our lunch here?,” Yoona asking Yuri’s opinion for the first time ever. LoL! It’s a fast food restaurant to be exact.

 

“Yeah, why not. Although my cousin said fast food is not good for our health, but when it comes to this situation, who cares, right?,” Yuri replied jokingly, causing the latter furrowed her brows.

 

“Who’s your cousin? A doctor?,” Yoona sarcastically asked. Yuri raised his brows in surprised.

 

“Ya, how did you know my cousin is a doctor?,” he replied.

 

“Chincha? I just said it, though,” Yoona said while shrugging her shoulders.

 

“She’s a doctor at the hospital where Hani has been admitted last time. The doctor who was in charge in monitoring her condition was her husband,” he informed.

 

“That midget doctor?,” Yoona asked. Yuri chuckled while nodded his head.

 

“He’s my best friend since we were in college times, though. He met my cousin who happened to be his junior without knowing that she’s related to me. What a small world, right?,” Yuri replied.

 

“Yeah, what a small world. Alright, Hani ya, where do you want us to sit?,” Yoona asked the little girl who seemed like in her own world while playing with her new Elsay soft toys.

 

“Hani ya, what daddy have told you just now?,” Yuri said to his daughter in strict tone. Hani was startled and quickly hugging her new soft toys.

 

“Sorry, daddy, imo,” she immediately apologized and lowered her head in guilty. Yoona just smiled and patted gently on her head.

 

“It’s okay, sweetie. Which table do you want us to sit?,” she softly asked. Hani immediately pointed at the table near the glass wall which they could clearly see the magnificent view of Disney’s castle from there. “Arasso, let’s go there,” she said. The trio then heading to the said table and took their respective seats.

 

“Daddy, can Hani eat cheese hamburger and fries?,” Hani asked right after the waiter laid the menu on their table.

 

“Yes you can, baby. Here, just choose which one,” Yuri replied as he put the menu in front of his daughter.
 

“Which one do you want to order, sweetie?,” Yoona asked while looking at the menu together.

 

“This one,” Hani pointed at the kids set included with free toys. Yoona just chuckled when she found out that the free toys was Elsa toys.

 

“What?,” Yuri asked while looking at her in curious. Yoona then shoved the menu to him and pointed on the one which Hani has selected earlier. He then laughed while shook his head.

 

“Aigoo.. You love Elsa so much, huh?,” Yuri said as he shoved back the menu to his daughter.

 

“Of course, daddy. Hani love Elsa like daddy loves Mickey and Minnie Mouse,” Hani nonchalantly replied, causing the adults burst into laughing.

 

“Arasoo. Just choose whatever you want to eat,” he replied. He then called the waiter to place their order.

“Are you sure you want to ride this, Hani ya?,” Yuri asked his daughter in concern.They were standing near the main entrance of the London Eye, a huge Ferris wheel. So far, his daughter never showed any acrophobia (afraid of heights) symptoms, but he afraid she will have it later.

 

“Dae, daddy. Hani want to ride this giant wheel with Yoona imo,” she confidently replied.

 

“Arasso. Daddy will go and buy the ticket first,” Yuri said.

 

“No need to buy the ticket. I have already bought it through online last night,” Yoona informed.

 

“Chincha? We can buy the ticket online?,” Yuri asked.

 

“Yup. You can get twenty percent discount. Hani ya, Kaja!,” Yoona said as she grabbed the little girl’s hand and entwined their hands together while walking to the main entrance. Yuri was left dumbfounded, but then he quickly jogged towards them and tailed them from behind.

 

After the staff done checking on their tickets, the trio then being asked to queue at the express line. There were not many people queued in the express line since most of them bought the standard tickets, so the queue moved a little fast, and when it was their turn, they were loaded into a pod with about twenty other people. Yoona was holding Hani’s hand tight as to avoid the little girl from getting bumped into other people. She then grabbed Yuri’s arm and basically dragging them to the front of the pod as it was the furthest place from the loading entrance, and it also was the best area to take pictures.

 

“Wow! It’s so beautiful, imo!,” Hani excitedly said as she was mesmerized with the view from higher place.

 

“Wow! Awesome! I need to take lot of pictures,” Yuri said as he was getting ready to take pictures with his digital camera. Yoona on the other hand just smiling as she got a satisfactory response from her ‘client’.

 

As the pod started to rise, they could see the great view of River Thames, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, and as the pod continues to rise, they will be able to see the magnificent view Buckingham Palace. Yuri couldn’t stop himself from taking pictures as the pod continues to move for about thirty minutes until it reaches the bottom. He even managed to ask other people to help him taking picture of him with his daughter and Yoona inside the pod.

 

“What a beautiful family!,” the woman said after she handed the digital camera back to Yuri.

 

“Err.. t-thank you,” Yuri thanked her in as he smiled awkwardly. Yoona and Hani just chuckled on Yuri’s act.

 

“Daddy, you should go out dating with imo after this,” Hani said teasingly causing the two widened their eyes in surprise.

 

“Ya, Kwon Hani! What are you talking about?,” Yuri snapped at his daughter while glancing nervously at Yoona. “Aishh.. This brat!,” he thought. Hani was startled and pouting. Yoona just shook her head while glaring at Yuri and side hugging the little girl.

 

“Hani ya, imo can’t dating your daddy. He’s working with imo,” Yoona said while caressing the little girl’s arm.

 

“Chincha?,” Hani replied while innocently looking at Yoona. The latter just nodded and smiled. Hani sighed in disappointment. Deep down in her heart, she really wants Yoona to become close with her father, so that they could become like a family, just like what the woman said. The little girl didn’t realize that she has eventually forgotten about Krystal.

 

“Let’s get off from here, and after this we can ride the ferry and cross the Thames river,” Yuri immediately said as to distract his daughter from bringing the dating topic again.

 

“Yeayyy!,” Hani cheered happily and she grabbed Yoona’s hand and following Yuri who’s already walking at the front. Yoona felt relieved the moment she saw Hani was back to her normal self again. She felt sorry for the little girl.

 

Yuri bought the ticket this time, and after he had done so, they started boarding the ferry to cross the River Thames.

 

“Hani want to eat ice cream?,” Yoona asked the little girl right after they dropped off the ferry after about an hour the ferry took them and the others down the River Thames.

 

“Dae! Hani want! Hani want!,” the little girl said excitedly while jumping up and down. Yoona just chuckled on her excitement.

 

“Arasso, arasso. Come, let’s go,” she said.

 

“Hani ya, you're not feel tired?,” Yuri asked his daughter.

 

“Nope. Gwenchana, daddy. Hani’s okay,” she replied while smiling.

 

Yuri couldn’t help but to feel sorry for her. He suddenly felt regret for snapping at her earlier. For the past two days, the two were really close to each other. He had been thinking since last night whether if there's any slightest chance for him and Yoona to date each other, just for the sake of his daughter's happiness.

 

"Should I try to develop my feelings for her?," he thought.

Later on that night, at the hotel

 

Yuri was caressing his daughter’s hair as the little girl was already in her deep slumber. She was really tired after having fun touring around London with her father and Yoona. She wanted to sleep with Yoona again on that night, but Yuri insists her to sleep with him as he doesn’t want her to trouble Yoona. Yoona on the other hand didn’t mind at all.

 

Yuri was thinking about what Hani and Yoona had said while they were at the London Eyes. He was thinking whether he should consider to try his luck to become close with Yoona. Would it be possible? He scratched his not-so-itchy head, trying to get some ideas, but then there’s a person who suddenly came across his mind that he thought could help him.

 

“Shall I call Sunny and ask about her?,” he mumbled. He then slowly got up from the bed, and took his phone from the dressing table. He sat on the settee and slide his phone screen. He tap at the contact icon and search for Sunny’s phone number. He quickly dialled on her number.

 

“Ya, Kwon Yuri! How’s your holiday? Is Yoona okay?,” the latter asked right after she picked up the call.

 

“Woo, woo.. One at a time, please,” he replied. He heard Sunny chuckled over the line.

 

“Ya, why are you calling me? Isn’t it almost midnight there?,” she asked.

 

“Yeah. I just put my daughter to sleep. Are you at the office right now?,” Yuri replied.

 

“Yup, I just arrived. So, how’s your holiday so far?,” she asked.

 

“It’s fun so far. Although your friend’s antics sometimes annoyed me, but, well, at least me and Hani are having fun,” he replied. Sunny just chuckled on his words.

 

“You know her, right? And she’s just broke up with that useless man. Just give her some space, will you?,” Sunny said.

 

“Yeah, I know that. Ermm.. Sunny ah..,” Yuri replied.

 

“Yup?,” she said.

 

“This afternoon. You know, when we took picture together, there’s a woman said something to us,” Yuri said.

 

“What does she said?,” she asked.

 

“She said.. we are a beautiful family,” he replied hesitantly.

 

“Chincha? She said that to you guys?,” Sunny’s voice suddenly becomes high as she was surprised.

 

“Yeah. And, Hani.. she.. She took it to heart, you know,” Yuri said.

 

“Chincha? What does she said?,” Sunny asked.

 

“She said.. She asked me to date Yoona..,” Yuri hesitantly replied.

 

“Ah, I see. Hani said like that?,” she asked again.

 

“Yeah, but I snapped at her. I didn’t mean it, but I didn’t want Yoona to misunderstand on her words, you know,” he replied.

 

“And, what was Yoona’s reaction?,” she asked.

 

“She said we can’t date with each other since we are just working as a boss and a bodyguard,” Yuri replied.

 

“Hani must feel sad, right?,” Sunny said.

 

“I don’t know, Sunny ah. I know she’s still putting a hope to have a stepmother. Yoona treated her good so far, and they clicked so well. That’s why Hani thought that Yoona could be the one,” Yuri replied.

 

“Why don’t you just try to court her?,” Sunny suggested.

 

“Mwoh?,” Yuri said in surprised.

 

“You heard me just now, right? Just give it a try. I’m sure she will not reject you at all, but then, she will do something on you,” Sunny replied.

 

“Like what?,” Yuri asked in curious. Sunny just chuckled on his words.

 

“She will ask you to prove to her that you really like her, for example,” she replied.

 

“Chincha? Hmm…,” Yuri paused. “Alright, if so then I will take that as a challenge. It’s just that, I don’t know her well. I’m calling you just to know more about her since you’re her best friend,” he said.

 

“Yuri ah, I can do that, but, to know her well, why don’t you make your first attempt? I mean, for example, you can ask her by yourself about what her likes and dislikes, and so on. I’m sure you can do that, right?,”Sunny suggested.

 

“Yeah, you’re right. I will give it a try on tomorrow. Anyway, thanks Sunny ah. But, please keep this as a secret between us two,” Yuri said.

 

“Us two? Can I share with Hyomin too?,” she asked.

 

“No, not yet. You can share with him when I successfully courting her later,” Yuri replied.

 

“Aishh.. You’re no fun, Yuri ah,” Sunny said.

 

“Endure it. Alright, thank you so much for your advice. Have fun working!,” Yuri replied.

 

“Aishh.. I’m so envy with you guys. Arasso, just enjoy your holiday and update me later,” she said.

 

“Dae,” Yuri replied as he hung up the call. He put his phone on the bedside table, and slowly pulled the cover and lie down beside his daughter. He leaned closer to her and gently pecked on her forehead.

 

“Good night, baby. Daddy promise, daddy will make your life happy and complete someday. Just wait patiently, okay?,” he whispered. He then pecked on her cheek for one last time before he went off to sleep.
