Chapter Twenty Six

Sehun’s eyes softens and he gazes into my eyes and that’s the time when I felt something else. The way he looks at me made me feel a little pain. A pain I can’t even explain.

“Should we go out on a date?”

Ha Eun stares at him and lightly punches his arm. “Stop playing around.” She checks something on her phone and shows it to him. “I can’t though. I’ll be having a reunion party tomorrow. I’m going home. I’ll see you tomorrow? Don’t disappear on me.”

Sehun reaches to hold her hand and she slowly turns to look at him. Sehun continues to look at her arm and she tilts her head. “Should I come with you?”

She chuckles and shakes her head. “You don’t have to. You don’t know them.”

“About the date, I was being serious. Let’s do it this weekend?”

The look in his eyes made Ha Eun’s heart skip a beat. Both in nervousness and her heart fluttered at his words. “O…kay.” She smiles softly and waves her hand as she walks back to her apartment. She looks back one more time and Sehun waves at him with a small smile on his face.

As He Eun heads back to her apartment, she suddenly felt a rush of fear. She takes in a deep breath and shakes the thoughts off her head while she heads to the bathroom to take a bath. She keeps thinking about Sehun and how’s he’s been acting strange and serious recently. *I wonder what’s wrong with him?*

The next day, Ha Eun prepares herself to meet her high school friends. It’s been a long time since she met them and she just wore her usual casual clothes. Even though she knows reunion is just all about bragging on what they have achieved so far.

Ha Eun is not afraid and she’s not ashamed of what she have achieved so far. She has a decent job and that’s what is important.
