Her Death God
Moon Sung Nam - This Life
Chapter Thirteen
I walk straight to my unit feeling extremely tired until I notice my clothes and luggage is sprawled all over the floor and there’s a padlock around the doorknob preventing me from entering my own place. “Oh no,” I look up and a paper is plaster against the door.
EVICTION NOTICE
Missed payment for five months. Come back tomorrow to get your other stuff.
Landlady“No, no!” I shake my head and takes out my phone from my pocket and starts calling my landlady while slightly jogging in place because it’s too cold. I’m going to freeze to death here. “Please, pick up, please pick up.” I sigh heavily and try to remove the huge padlock and closes my eyes in defeat. “Why now? You have no other choice tonight, Ha Eun.
I start dragging my luggage and once I reach the end of the street, I holler a cab and tells the driver to bring me to the nearest 24/7 sauna. I check on my phone and there’s still no response to the Landlady nor Ye Bin.
“It’s been a rough day for you?” the driver who is around his mid-50s asks me and I smile while nodding my head weakly. Was it too obvious? “It’s really hard to make a living these days. During my y
