o14. Her Death God
Her Death God
Hee Jin ft. Lee Yo Han - Shelter
Chapter Fourteen
“Wait, wait. I can’t go out just yet!” I stop him from pulling me out of the sauna house and twists my hand from his grip. “I still need to pay and change my clothes. I can’t go out like this. I need to get…my luggage too.”
Sehun turns around and his eyes meets mine. “Live with me.”
I continue the staring game with him and sighs quietly between my pair of lips. I need to get used to him speaking like this. That way, I won’t misunderstand his words. “Mr. Death God, you know that I can’t do that. Y-You’re still a guy. I can still find a new place. I don’t want to depend on you.”
“Somewhere close to me.” Sehun adds.
“Do you know the street where you live in? Apartments there are so much expensive. I can’t live there. I told you, I would be able to find one so stop thinking about it.” I assure him and the look in his eyes changes. I wonder what he’s thinking about. This is so unfair that I can’t never read what’s going on inside your head.
I start walking back inside the place while he follows me behind. “I’ll sleep at Ye Bin’s place tonight.” I lied and thank goodness he’s not looking into my eyes or else he’ll know that Ye Bin’s at the province today and I won’t be able to get inside her place because I don’t have a spare place.
“Where are you going after this?” he asks.
I pay for the one night stay and tells him not to follow me as I change my clothes and after, I start walking out while pulling my luggage. “I’m going to my part-time today. Are you going to stay at the café again?”
“No, I have to meet someone important today. But I’ll walk with you to work.”
I nod my head and we start walking to the café. As we get there, I look at him and his hands are buried insides his pockets. Why is he wearing light clothes in this cold weather? He moves his head once, pointing the café. “Go in.”
“Wait,” I open my luggage and pulls out a thick knitted gray scarf and hands it to him. “Wear it. It’s too cold today.”
He holds it and just looks at it, obviously, he doesn’t know the proper way to wear it. I playfully roll my eyes at him and holds the scarf back. “Can you lower yourself a little?” he bends his body and I wrap the scarf around his neck, tying it neatly and warmly. His nose is getting red already, it’s so obvious that he’s shivering. “You should wear something warm. If Baseline doesn’t have winter, well here, there is. Don’t get sick.” I sniff and when I lean back a little, he’s staring at me. “What?” I sniff and dabs the sleeve of my trench coat under my nose after sniffing.
“I’m not feeling cold though.”
“Stop lying. I can’t read minds but I can read facial expressions, you know.” I look at him and closes my luggage after. “Do you even know where are you going to meet that person?”
“He’s going to fetch me here.”
“I’m going inside, then.”
Before I could leave, Sehun grabs my arm and I turn my head to look at him, “Wait for me here after your shift.
“If you say so.”
“Good.”
What was that? I suddenly felt like I am his servant or pet. I continue walking inside and closes the door after. I am pulling my luggage with me to the back entrance and slightly dips my head to the branch manager. “Err, long story. Can I put these here first?”
“Just hurry. There are a lot of customers already.”
“Yes.”
Why did I choose to work here again? It’s very tiring here, but I need to earn extra money and it’s too hard to find a decent job here in Seoul. Just hold it in, Ha Eun. This is for your mother. You can do this.
