SmudgesYour trip to Hong Kong with Johnny was due to happen in 2 weeks and that week of time flew by in a flash. You were anticipating this trip as much as he did and you were practically grinning from ear to ear when you informed Taeyong that you were going to be out of the office for a week.
“What’s got you so excited?”
“Just the trip.”
“With him?”
“Yea.”
“I thought this day would never come. Why did you agree to go with him?”
“A lot has changed the past few months and he’s been good to me Taeyong. He asked so nicely I couldn’t possibly have turned him down.”
“That’s new but alright, you have fun. I still don’t trust him though so put me on speed dial while you’re there, I’ll fly over if he tries anything funny.”
“Taeyong, he’s not so bad now.”
“Still, I wouldn’t take my chances around him.”
“Bye Taeyong!”
“Bye!” You gave him one final wave before descending the elevator, watching through the glass panes as Seoul’s night came alive.
You fell into an absolutely peaceful sleep that night.

You watched the morning sun rise through the clouds as you began your descent over Hong Kong. To your displeasure, Johnny wouldn’t let you handle the luggage at all but he made up for it by not annoying you during the ride to your hotel. Instead, you spent your time marveling at the sky scrapers that appeared at every turn. You could argue that the same things could be viewed back in Seoul but to you, you believed in fully appreciate another country’s landscape. Looking at how your eyes and nose were practically glued to the car’s windscreen, Johnny decided to leave you be and let you enjoy your views.

Johnny had taken the liberty of booking a suite at the 80th story, the highest floor in your hotel. The room, despite its name, was not the biggest hotel room you had been in but it was enough. The moment you had stepped in, you were met with a quaint sized living room that was fitted with a TV, a grey couch lined with velvet pillows, a coffee table with a small pot of flower in the middle. Moving past the wall, you were immediately greeted with the open area of your king-sized bed and the bathroom right behind. But you didn’t stop to marvel any further at the room. Instead, Johnny had simply hastily placed the luggage in the living room without bothering to unpack. Taking your hand, he pulled you towards the MTR station and very soon, you found yourself staring out of the train windows, watching as skyscrapers and factories made way for lush green scenery and deep blue seas.
“Where are we heading now?”
“Tai O. It’s a small fishing village, pretty laid back. I thought it’ll be nice to have a change in scenery and go to a place where their pace of life isn’t so fast.
“Sounds wonderful.” You
