YOUNGJAE POV

“Tuan Yi En! Dinner!”

I raised my eyebrows up in confusion as I heard Jackson hyung shouted in his mother language towards Mark hyung and Bam Bam bedroom door. Has Jackson hyung lost his mind? Shouldn’t he have shouted in English instead?

However, before I get to correct Jackson, I heard Mark hyung voice answered back in flawless Chinese, “I heard you already, Jackson!”

I widened my eyes at the sudden fact that Mark hyung was actually replying Jackson hyung in Chinese. Wait! Mark hyung knows Chinese too?

“Yah! Why are you frozen there, Youngjae?” I snapped back of my shock when Jackson hyung slapped me on my back. “Dinner! Dinner, Youngjae.”

“Coming, hyung.” I answered the older as I followed him to the dining room.

“Is that Chinese I was hearing just before?” Oh! Seems like I’m not the only one who surprised; Jaebum hyung was the one who asked out.

“Oh you guys don’t know yet?” Jackson seemed surprised before he said, “Our Mark here is actually Taiwanese – Korean.”

“What?” Naturally, we all shouted out in surprised as all eyes turned to look at the said guy.

I noticed Mark hyung sighed guiltily as he confessed out, “Yeah. I’m actually half Korean and half Taiwanese. However, I don’t really speak both languages fluently.”

“Wow...” That’s the first thing that came to my mind. “Hyung, you have two nationalities on your blood. That’s cool!”

To my words, Mark hyung just laughed softly as he said jokingly, “Is that so?”

“Wait! Wait! Is that means Bam Bam knows Chinese as well?” Suddenly, I heard Yugyeom asked out of curiosity.

“No! I am Thai.” I was surprised when Bam Bam replied Yugyeom. Well, one week of Korean lesson, Bam Bam sure improved in his Korean ability.

However, this time it’s Jinyoung who voiced out our confusion. “Mark hyung, you and Bam Bam is not biological brother?”

Mark hyung sighed again as he nodded his head, “We are step brothers. His mother married to my father about 4 years ago. Bam Bam is Thai.”

Ah! That’s why Bam Bam has different accent when he conversed in English. I have always wondered why Bam Bam speaks English weirdly, unlike Mark hyung flawless one. So, Bam Bam mother language is Thai, not English.

These two brothers’ nationalities are so complicated.

JINYOUNG POV

“Mark hyung! Mark hyung! I have good news for you!” As I entered the house, I ran towards the couch where the oldest was focusing on his phone; probably searching for any available jobs online. “Hyung! I got you a job!”

Hearing what I just said, the oldest threw away his phone as he looked at me, brightened up at the word ‘job’.

“Okay, story short hyung, one of my friends; his father owns this advertising company, and currently they’re short of staff who can speak and write English very well.” I said in rush to Mark hyung. “Hyung, you can try out this job. It’s perfect for you. English is your mother language; you’re fit for this job.”

I noticed Mark hyung who seemed still surprised at the sudden news before his face turned into a smile, “Jinyoung-ah, thank you so much!”

“Hurry up, go change hyung. I have begged my friend to give you a chance for interview by today. I’ll accompany you there.” I said exciting; like I was the one who actually got a job. However, before I get to calm down from my excitement, I felt the oldest pulled me into a quick hug before he jumped out of his seat towards his bedroom.

I released a deep breath without I noticed; I guess I was just too excited before that I didn’t realize it myself.
