Chapter 04
The Power of Friendship (Hiatus)
JACKSON POV
“Good morning.” As my eyes caught the sight of the two brothers that just appeared in the dining room, I greeted them happily in English. “Come, join breakfast! Our mother Jinyoung prepares delicious breakfast!”
“Mother?” Mark asked confusedly.
“Ah yes! Our Jinyoungie here is known as the mother in the house. He takes care of us very well, just like a mother. That’s why he is given the title of mother.” I explained in smile to the brothers who nodded their heads.
“Jackson hyung, I asked my brother to enrol me in the same school as yours for Korean language, and he agreed. Can we tag along with you later to register for the class?” Bam Bam asked me excitingly as he sat beside me.
I nodded my head eagerly and excitingly as I kept munching my breakfast. From the corner of my eyes, I noticed Mark who took the seat on the other side of Bam Bam.
“Morning hyung!” I heard Yugyeom and Youngjae greeted the oldest in the house.
“Hyung, what’s your plan today? I know you’re looking for language class; do you need help with it? I am free until my class is over for today.” Jinyoung offered Mark.
“That’s ok, Jinyoung. I think Jackson can help us with that.” Mark smiled thankfully at Jinyoung. “However, I might need help in finding some jobs available.”
“Job? You’re looking for part time job?” Jaebum chipped in the conversation.
“No, I’m looking for full time job.” Mark replied which a bit surprised for all of us. So, Mark isn’t going to university but work full time instead?
“I thought you’re still in college, hyung.” This time, Yugyeom asked confusedly.
“No. I’m not continuing my study anymore, only Bam Bam. He has to finish high school first.” Mark replied as he continued, “Do you guys know any International school here? That way, he will be able to study easier with the language.”
It was silence for a while from the oldest confession before Jaebum spoke up, “I can help you find out some information about International school nearby though if you wanted. But, I think the school fees won’t be cheap.”
“That’s alright. I’ll manage.” Mark just said shortly before he focused back on his breakfast.
No words were said out about the two brothers as we all understand their privacy though.
MARK POV
It turned out I am categorized in the same level as Jackson in the Korean language test. Of course I needed to take the language class too since my Korean is still broken. However, my brother will need to start from basic class.
“This is so great! We’re in the same class!” I heard Jackson exclaimed loudly and happily. Seriously, is this guy always this loud? “Hey Mark! I am curious though, how do you know Korean? You took lessons before back in L.A?”
“No.” I just replied him shortly.
“Then how come you can speak the language? Are you probably Korean? I mean, you don’t have the American face, you know what I mean?” I sighed as I ignored Jackson nonstop questioning.
“It’s a long story.” Again, I replied him shortly.
“Oh come on, I’m curious! Besides, we’re now housemates and friends though.” I heard Jackson whined. “Oh, could it be I’m right about it? You’re actually American Born Korean, right?”
