Out on the date

"So tiffany." Yuri said while walking with tiffany hugging her arm leaning on her shoulder. "How was life for the past year?"
She put on her biggest eye smile and giggled. "Amazing. I did miss all of my friends of course. Especially you. But besides that it was like an adventure. I hadn't been to America since i was little."she sighed dreamily.

"Yul i have a question." She stopped me from continuing my footsteps. "Why after all this time? I know you loved her and that's why you never gave me a chance before. But what's happened for you to give up now?"

I looked her in the eye and i could tell she was waiting for an answer a truthful one. There was no i didn't love her anymore or any i never loved her. She knew she would know just by looking in my eyes.

"She's engaged. To a man. A good man. And he will take care of her. The way i never could. It's better for her. So now i need to move on. I need to find someone new.
