Sana sighed restlessly in her bed as she stared outside her window. Her shoulders remained hunched as she contemplated her situation. A usually jolly eve was filled with loneliness instead. Her girlfriend was a busy person and she understood that. She was always travelling between countries ever since she became the priority head pilot. This was their 3rd year together and Sana couldn't help but feel very, very lonely. After all, she had been accustomed to spending Christmas with her every year. You know what she's saying? But things this year are different. It seems like they'll be changing their usual tradition because Tzuyu was called out to replace another pilot for a flight route 3 days ago.

In short, their Christmas plans got foiled. 

So now, Sana was sulking on the eve of Christmas, thinking about how different this year was opposed to the year before. They'd be busy baking and cooking in the kitchen, being silly and playing around more than actually cooking. They'd be trying to hide their presents away from each other and failing miserably. They'd be cuddled on a couch, watching some cheesy classic flicks on the television. That's why the loneliness hit her harder now. She wasn't used to any of this at all and she hated this feeling.

Why couldn't Tzuyu just come home already. The route was only meant to take 3 days but Sana guessed something went wrong and it got extended because Tzuyu was still not home. She was bored out of her mind and she'd officially run out of things to do.

The first day of her absence already had an impact on Sana and to distract herself, she had decided to clean out the house and wash all the sheets in the bedrooms of their house. On the second day, Sana managed to get going with tending to their garden outside and fell asleep as soon as she hit the bed.

The problem was tonight and possibly the entire day tomorrow and night. She whined, jumping onto her pillow that muffled her screams of frustration. Maybe she could do some little bit of cooking to make herself happy. It would be another nice distraction to the loneliness she was feeling. 

The phone buzzed beside her and Sana rushed to answer it quickly as she saw who the caller was. She pulled a hoodie over her head and ran her fingers through her hair to tame the mess before she went on video, not wanting to embarrass herself in front of the other gorgeous being.

"You okay there baby?" Tzuyu's voice greeted her as soon as she turned her video on. Sana's heart skipped a beat as she watched Tzuyu take off her captain hat and pull out the tie that kept her bun in place.

"Huh? Yes, of course." Sana dazedly replied.

"You're looking rather red, are you sick? Should I cancel my remaining flights? I can get on the next flight home." Tzuyu asked in worry, looking ready to fly the next plane home if she could.

"Shhhhh. It's okay honey. I'm okay. I'm not sick. You don't need to worry. I'm just, uh, well you just caught me off guard." Sana admitted. 

"Does my baby miss me?" Tzuyu teased, making Sana groan. 

"I knew I shouldn't have said anything." Sana sulked.

"Hey, you know that I love you more than anything, okay? I love it when you get shy and flustered." Tzuyu chuckled.

"That's because you like teasing me." Sana huffed. 

"Correction. It's because I love you." Tzuyu shook her head.

"When are you coming home?" Sana asked, changing the subject as she feared for her red cheeks. 

"It looks like it'll be the 26th." Tzuyu sighed disappointedly. 

"We can just celebrate it later. It's okay." Sana encouraged. 

"You think I don't know how sad you probably are because of this?" Tzuyu frowned. 

"Things just turned out this way. Don't dwell on it. I'm more than happy to just get to talk to you whenever you can have the time to." Sana smiled. 

"I really don't deserve you, damn it." Tzuyu said in frustration. 

"I'll wait for you to come home so we can celebrate, alright? I miss you." Sana mumbled. 

"​​​​​​​I miss you more than you know baby. I promise I'll be home by 26th." Tzuyu smiled through the tears that were forming in her eyes. "Sleep well and get some good sleep, okay? I'll talk to you later."

"Okay, okay. I'll try. No promises that I will be able to without you." Sana confessed. 

​​"Merry Christmas baby." Tzuyu said, noting that it had passed midnight where Sana was.

"​​​​​​​Did you set an alarm for yourself or something?" Sana chuckled.

"​​​​​​​No, I just wanted to be there for you when the day started at least." Tzuyu explained. 

"Damn you Chou Tzuyu and your amazing personality." Sana mumbled, wiping away her tears. 

"Alright, sleep now! Make sure you eat. I feel like you've lost weight in the past 3 days." Tzuyu scolded. 

"​​​​​​​Okay, I will. I love you." Sana answered, yawning widely and ending the call. She was feeling very sleepy now and maybe, for the first time, she'd be able to sleep well. 

​​​​​​​Sana was woken up by her doorbell at 9am and she groaned as she trudged to her door. The mailman looked apologetic but quickly got her signature before passing a box over to her. She shook it, hoping to identify what was inside but was left curious. Sana sat down at her dining table, immediately getting into opening the box. hung open as she cradled the item in her hand.

A snow globe. She remained speechless as she observed the inside of the ball, immediately knowing it was hand crafted. A little home, with a puppy and two people standing in front. When does Tzuyu ever fail to surprise her?

​​​​​​​She shook it, gasping at how beautiful it was. It reminded her of how they first met. Snow was the reason they were together today. Tzuyu was the pilot of the flight Sana was meant to catch to visit her parents in Japan but the flight was delayed because of heavy snow. So the two of them got to know each other in the unfortunate circumstance that brought them together.

Miraculously, she met Tzuyu next at her best friend's wedding - whose partner happened to be Tzuyu's best friend. The two of them couldn't believe the coincidence but that was the start of how Tzuyu swept Sana off her feet.

Speaking of best friend, her phone buzzed with an incoming call from her. 

"Mina?" Sana greeted as she answered the phone.

"What are you up to? Did Tzuyu come home?" Mina asked.

"She's coming tomorrow." Sana sighed.

"Alright, then you're coming over here with me and Nayeon. Expecting you here in an hour." Mina demanded, hanging up the phone before Sana could argue. 

The drive took 30 mins on its own so if she wanted to look somewhat presentable, she was going to have to start getting ready already. That hard headed best friend if hers could never fail to bring her out of the house when she wanted to. Throwing around countless outfits in her room, Sana finally got dressed, grabbing a jacket before leaving the house.

"You made it in time!" Mina laughed as Sana glared at her.

"Sweetheart, is that Sana?" Nayeon called out from their kitchen. 

​​​"Yeah, she's here." Mina answered, bringing Sana over. Nayeon immediately engulfed Sana in a hug she couldn't help returning.

"I'm sorry for ruining your Christmas." Sana apologised.

"I'd be more upset if you didn't come over Sana." Nayeon frowned.

"Well thank you for inviting me." Sana smiled cheekily, hugging Mina and Nayeon tightly.

​​​​​​​After watching the two of them for an hour, Sana grew bored quickly.

"Is there anything I can do?" Sana asked, almost thinking that she saw a flicker of gratitude in Nayeon's eyes.

"Can you do me a favour? I left some things for dinner in a box on the rooftop because I had to hide it from Mina. Do you think you could grab it for me?" Nayeon asked.

Sana nodded and proceeded to head towards the rooftop happily. She was glad to finally get off her . With much effort, Sana pushed the door of the place open, freezing in her spot once she walked out of the door.

There standing was Tzuyu, smiling cheekily as she scratched the back of her head -  a nervous habit of hers.

"Hi?" Tzuyu greeted. She walked towards Sana slowly before bending down on a knee and presenting her with a mini Christmas tree that was topped with a sapphire ring.

"Minatozaki Sana, you know me. You know how nervous I am right now. But only you know how to calm me when I'm like this. Only you know me this well. You read me like an open book. Well most of the time. You support me and cheer me on. You are the light of my life." Tzuyu froze suddenly, looking up at the sky and muttering under her breath.

"Give me a second." She said as she ran back somewhere. Moments later, hearing some loud banging, she noticed what Tzuyu had done.

It was snowing.

"I'm sorry about that." Tzuyu said as she got back on her knee in front of Sana. "Where was I? Oh right. Minatozaki Sana, will you be mine for the rest of our lives? Will you let me love you and cherish you? Will you -"

"Damn you, Chou Tzuyu!" Sana whined, cutting Tzuyu off. She fanned her eyes to stop her tears.

"At least let me finish, will you?" Tzuyu muttered.

"Alright, my bad - please, continue." Sana giggled.

"Will you marry me to become Chou Sana?" Tzuyu proposed. Sana couldn't help but gasp at how beautiful that sounded. Tzuyu's last name was really perfect for her in every way, just like the girl herself.

"Yes, yes I will." Sana nodded, allowing her to to slide the ring on to her finger before she pulled Tzuyu up for a kiss. She loved this woman so damn much. Chou Tzuyu was her life and she'll love her every day until they grew old.

Tzuyu  could see the questions spinning in Sana's head as they broke apart and she counted to 3 before she was bombarded with the questions. She found it cute how easily she could surprise her girlfriend - well, fiancé

"What? How? When?" Sana asked in confusion.

"It's been a plan for 2 months now. Almost didn't make it but Nayeon and Mina helped out." Tzuyu explained. "The change of the route almost ruined things."

"Was this why you sent the snow globe?" Sana asked.

"It was all part of the plan." Tzuyu grinned.

"I can't believe you." Sana said, shaking her head.

"I had to go over the top for the proposal. You deserve the best." Tzuyu shrugged.

"That's why you added the snow and basically murdered the machine?" Sana questioned, earning a nod from the blushing Tzuyu.

She cupped Sana's cheeks, rubbing their noses against each other before kissing her again. Sana wrapped her arms around Tzuyu's neck, bringing her closer. Tzuyu pulled back first, planting another kiss on Sana's forehead. Sana sighed and buried her head in the crook of Tzuyu's neck.

​​"Merry Christmas baby." Tzuyu mumbled, hugging Sana tightly. 

"Thank you for creating the most memorable Christmas." Sana whispered. "I love you."

"And I love you." Tzuyu replied glaring at Nayeon and Mina who couldn't stop laughing at the two.

I'm sorry about the delay of the update in this collection.

I'm grateful for all of you, who have been by my side throughout this time. I've been through a lot lately and I honestly contemplated stopping writing because I was receiving disliked comments towards it. With the passing of Jonghyun and other issues, I was struggling to keep my head up. The comments were not helping me either. But I pushed myself to write more and use those comments to strive forward instead of using them to let me give up something that made me happy.

Your support always means more to me than you think, so I'm very, very thankful.

Thank you for dealing with my poorly timed updates and a lack of them too. I am doing my best to write when inspired but sometimes I have the idea but can't put it into words.

Just in case I won't post until next year, I hope you will have a great year ahead of you that is filled with happiness and fulfilment of your wishes and desires.
