(It's a little different)

“Tzuyu, they were back again.” Nayeon whispered over the phone. Sana remained beside her, fast asleep after an hour of crying.

“Again? They were just there a few days ago! I’m not going to take this anymore Nayeon. Let me do something about it. You know I want the best for Sana.” Tzuyu sighed, banging her fist on her table in anger.

“What are you going to do Tzuyu? Don’t do anything you’ll regret. I might not beat your but Sana will.” Nayeon scolded.

“I need to protect Sana from them. And not only for Sana, but for you as well. This has been going on for too long. Jeong can come with me – will that make you more comfortable? I love Sana with all of my heart – I don’t want her to be scared any longer.” Tzuyu informed, chest hurting at the thought of Sana being in pain.

“I’ll pretend I never heard your possible plans. I know Sana would kill me too if she knew that I had an insight into your ideas.” Nayeon huffed.

“Nayeon, you’re her sister. She’s going to blame you either way because Jeong is involved in this as well.” Tzuyu mocked, hearing Nayeon groan.

“Alright, do whatever you want to. Sana’s going to wake up soon. Do you want to stop by before you do whatever you plan to?

“I’m already in my car and headed over there. I’ll see you soon.” Tzuyu agreed, hanging up the phone.

Sana and Nayeon were sisters who were now living on their own. Losing their parents a few years back, the two of them ended up inheriting their parents’ debts and were now suffering. Of course, both herself, and her sister Jeongyeon had offered to help them but they refused the help – deciding to work multiple part-time jobs to repay them.

It was a week ago when the men who arrived on behalf of the loan sharks had given themselves access to Sana and Nayeon’s new house, damaging their items and belongings to incite fear. It had worked – neither of them wanting to leave the house in fear of getting attacked by the men.

So, now that Tzuyu was aware of the fact that they had arrived again, she wasn’t going to take any more chances for their safety. She knew that neither of them were going to willing call out for help so she was going to risk the possible anger from Sana, rather than not protect her.

“Is she still sleeping?” Tzuyu whispered as she entered, receiving a nod from Nayeon.

She crept quietly inside the room, closing it shut before she moved to lie down next to Sana. The girl was even frowning in her sleep, dried tears visible on her face. Tzuyu sighed softly, kissing Sana’s forehead and wiping away the tear tracks on her face. How much longer is Sana going to hold the burden of this debt? It hurt Tzuyu to think that Sana didn’t want to rely on her but she knew that she had her own reasons.

Slowly, she got up from the bed, placing one last kiss on her cheek. Nayeon greeted her outside the door, smiling at her and giving her a hug.

“I know you’re worried about us a lot Tzuyu and you’re also hating that Sana isn’t willing to budge about the burden but she also doesn’t want to put you into trouble with this.” Nayeon explained, patting Tzuyu’s head.

“I just wished I could do more than just sit here. You two have been working so hard all the time – it’s impossible that you haven’t covered the debt already.” Tzuyu muttered, shaking her head.

“Our parents probably had a bigger debt than we expected.” Nayeon shrugged.

“I’m going to leave my car keys and house keys here. If you sense any danger, you two go to my house. Jeongyeon will pick me up from the bus stop down the road. Promise me you’ll leave if there’s danger. For us both.” Tzuyu pleaded.

“I will. I promise. Just take care of yourself and that goof. You don’t want to suffer Sana’s wrath when she’s angry.” Nayeon chuckled, pushing her out the door. She hoped that whatever they were doing was not going to be endangering but then again, the two of them were reckless and refused to think before they acted. It amazed her how alike they were.

Tzuyu sat in Jeongyeon’s car quickly, asking her do drive off before she even had her seatbelt on. She wanted everything to be over and done with already. She hated that Sana and Nayeon had to constantly look back over their shoulder in fear and worry that something could happen anytime. She hated how Sana worked herself tirelessly and fell asleep in her lectures because of her part-time jobs. She hated how they suffered.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” Jeongyeon asked as they reached their destination.

“Do you want Nayeon to go through more of this?” Tzuyu retorted, anger bubbling up inside.

“No! Of course not. Tzuyu, you’re also my little sister. I don’t want to put you in this situation. It could endanger your life.” Jeongyeon warned.

“Sana’s worth it Jeong.” Tzuyu smiled, getting out of the car.

--

“Did someone come while I was asleep?” Sana asked as she yawned.

“Yeah, just Tzuyu.” Nayeon answered, going back to watching her drama.

“Huh? How come she came when I was sleeping?” Sana frowned.

“Well, she came to see you but you were sleeping. It’s not like she’s going to wake you up and suffer from your bipolar behaviour.” Nayeon scoffed, earning a cushion to the head by Sana.

“I’m not bipolar!” Sana whined, jumping next to Nayeon.

“Hey, hey! Let me watch in peace.” Nayeon groaned. She was trying very hard to act normally around Sana but if you were to feel her heart and look into her brain, you’d know that she was panicking like crazy and worrying for the two idiots.

“Nana.” Sana whispered.

“Hmm? What is it?” Nayeon asked, patting Sana’s head.

“Why – why do I feel like this?” Sana mumbled.

“Like what?” Nayeon asked, turning around to face Sana in concern.

“I have this sinking feeling in my stomach. I don’t like this feeling.” Sana whimpered.

“It’ll be okay. It’s probably just because you slept at a weird time.” Nayeon comforted.

“No, no. This is an uncomfortable feeling – like something is going to go wrong.” Sana explained, making Nayeon widen her eyes.

“Alright – you know what, go pack some things. We’re going somewhere.” Nayeon commanded, getting up and switching off the TV.

“What? Where!” Sana questioned.

“Just pack some things – and probably things you find important and want to take with you.” Nayeon sighed.

“Nayeon, what is it? You’re scaring me.” Sana frowned.

“Please, just listen to me and trust me. We need to leave this place.” Nayeon muttered, packing her bag.

Sana sighed but followed her sister’s instructions. She trusted her and that’s what mattered for now. She quickly packed a bag, filling it with whatever she could – photos, snow globes, clothes. If they were leaving the place, they had to pack wisely and carefully on such notice.

“You ready?” Nayeon asked, picking up her bag.

Sana nodded, following behind Nayeon as they left the room. They had made it down the hallway when they heard heavy footsteps and loud voices. Nayeon peeked, gasping at the presence of the men who came to their place yet again. She pulled Sana’s hand, taking them into the elevator. She impatiently waited for it to reach the basement, finding Tzuyu’s car with ease.

“Nayeon, why do you have Tzuyu’s car keys.” Sana asked.

“I’ll tell you when we leave, just get in!” Nayeon said in anger. She shifted gears, driving out of their building in quick speed.

“You’ve got to tell me what the hell is going on!” Sana demanded as they arrived at Tzuyu’s house.

“Inside.” Nayeon huffed, taking their things inside the place.

Just what was going on? Why were they out of their place and in Tzuyu’s house? Why did Nayeon have her house and car keys?

“When Tzuyu came by earlier, she gave me both keys and told me to use them if we sensed we were in danger.” Nayeon explained.

“But what if I wasn’t right about feeling something wrong?” Sana pointed out.

“Well, precautions.” Nayeon sighed.

“What else aren’t you telling me?” Sana asked, feeling furious.

“Tzuyu and Jeongyeon are doing something–”

“WHAT?!” Sana shouted, cutting off Nayeon.

“Look, I don’t know! All I was told was that they were going to do something! How do you think I’m faring with all of this? I’m just as frustrated and annoyed because I don’t know what’s going on!” Nayeon screamed back.

The two of them sighed heavily, collapsing against the couch in their living room. All they could do was wait now for their girlfriends to get back. Sana couldn’t help but think of how stupid Tzuyu would be if she went right into their waiting arms. She couldn’t help but think about the possibility of losing Tzuyu – she knew how dear she was to her and how much she loved her, what would anything be like without her?

A buzz sounded loudly by their front door and the two girls stood up, waiting to see who entered. Jeongyeon was slouched over Tzuyu, right hand around her neck for support. They stumbled into the living room, Sana and Nayeon rushing to their sides.

“What happened?!” Nayeon panicked.

“She just twisted her ankle. That’s all.” Tzuyu comforted, getting an ice pack from the kitchen for her.

Tzuyu knew Sana was staring at her and she knew the amount of trouble she was going to be in. Everything went smoothly – just the entrance was a little off, which is why Tzuyu had blood at the corner of her lips. She walked to her room, fumbling around for her first aid kit and grabbing a stool. Tzuyu was about to wipe the blood off her lip before the fury burst into her room. She gulped as Sana took each step towards her with menace – she was going to die, wasn’t she?

“Are you an idiot?!” Sana scolded, dabbing a cotton bud with antiseptic liquid before placing it against Tzuyu’s wound.

“N-no?” Tzuyu stuttered.

“Was that a question?” Sana frowned, finishing off with the wound.

“N-no.” Tzuyu answered.

“Tzu, do you have any idea how scared I was? Especially because you didn’t tell me anything? Your plan would’ve been completely rash and you could’ve lost your life!” Sana cried out, leaning her forehead against Tzuyu’s.

“I’m sorry.” Tzuyu mumbled, wiping away Sana’s tears.

“Don’t just disappear and don’t go off to do stupid things.” Sana muttered.

“It wasn’t stupid. It was the only way to protect you both. You always say to leave it up to you – but I can’t do that Sana. I can’t let you go through any more suffering than you already have. I’ll do anything to make sure you’re happy; because you’re my world.” Tzuyu confessed, placing a kiss on her forehead.

“And what would my world be if you’re not in it?” Sana challenged, glaring at Tzuyu.

“I think it’d be the same thing as if you’re not in mine.” Tzuyu sighed, cupping Sana’s cheeks to bring her in for a kiss.

Always share the burden, never bear it all completely. There’s someone out there who’s willing to listen and to be there by your side even in your toughest times – someone who’s willing to shout louder at the thing that scares you most.

A/N: This song has been in my mind for the past week but I didn't know if I could write something using it.
I was finally able to make something of it and brought this along :']
It's not as fluffy as usual but I tried to make it a little different
.

Also, thank you elegantzuyu, I'll use your idea for the next one-shot (:

See you soon~
