Mountain trekking turned out to be harder than Joy had thought. She had never been athletic and had never cared for physical activities other than the ones in gym classes. She almost felt that her legs were going to be breaking off from her body anytime soon when they finally reached their rest point for the day. Irene had been huffing and puffing next to her. She was almost surprised to hear a curse coming out from Irene's pretty mouth now and then, but looking at their current situation, she understood Irene's feelings. Wendy on the other hand was energetic as ever, Joy almost thought she was a girl scout with 10 years experience in mountain climbing.

Joy scanned the faces of the people around her. Most of their former classmates came to join the trip, though she thought half of them regretted coming and were throwing curses mainly at Wendy during the whole climb. Yook Sungjae and his entourage were their usual selves, fooling around, cracking jokes, and of course, flirting. Seulgi was his target for the day. Seulgi was a pretty girl, long-haired, long-limbed with cat-like eyes. Her face was cold most of the time but soften tremendously when she smiled. Joy noticed that Seulgi would smile at Sungjae's jokes but she had never shown any inclinations that she was interested on him. Another thing that she noticed was how quiet Hyunsik was when Seulgi was near. Often, Hyunsik will join Sungjae's pranks together with Eunkwang and Changsub, but whenever Seulgi was near, he would stand back and quietly observe the boys, not quite distancing himself but not joining them either. She thought it was interesting.

Another thing she found interesting was how Irene would steal glances at Hyunsik once in a while when they were preparing dinner for the night. She found out that Hyunsik loved chicken and Irene had stocked up a lot of canned chicken food as part of their menu. Wendy would shake her head at Joy to stop her from commenting and Joy understood.
