It's you but it's not
Cool Hot Sweet L.O.V.E.That night, they left the wedding preparations behind and went out for dinner at Irene's favorite Mexican restaurant. In a flash, they felt like they had returned to twelve years ago, Sungjae being the last piece of puzzle to enable it to be complete.
"Man, you really look different now. I can't believe my eyes when I saw you." Eunkwang exclaimed repeatedly. The contrast between the old and new Sungjae could never be more striking, especially now when he was dressed in a crisp shirt with folded sleeves and a pair of dark-coloured slacks. While the old Sungjae was lean and proportionate, this Sungjae was built like a soldier, which was logical considering that he had joined the army and was currently serving as an army surgeon. 'Who would have thought Sungjae would become a doctor,' Joy mused to herself. Apparently he left to pursue medicine after a few years of travelling with his parents, and then joined the army for his compulsory military service. Afterwards, he had stayed back in military as an army surgeon. He had never told them of all these before and nobody quite knew the reason why.
One thing Joy noticed was that he was more reserved than before, almost a different person than the old Sungjae, although he did crack a few jokes here and there. The familiar, charming smile was there on his lips but it did not quite reach his eyes some of the times. Joy wondered what happened to him within the years that he was missing from their lives which caused him to change so much.
After dinner, they decided to have a drink at the bar. Joy settled at one of the lounge while the guys went for shots at the bar. Changsub and Irene had long left because according to Wendy, the bride and groom should have no more than a glass of wine and they should always have at least 8 hour of sleep every night to make sure they look their best on the big day. Wendy also left eventually because, "the maids of honour should also have adequate sleep to look good on the big day."
