Angst
Cool Hot Sweet L.O.V.E.It took them four days to resurface to the real world. Their four days were spent just lounging in her place, lost in their own little world; the delivery boy was their best friend.
When they finally dragged themselves out of bed, they spent their day doing seemingly normal stuff, brunch at the nearby cafe, visited a local bookstore - her favorite bookstore. Then they walked at the park, hand in hand, him sometimes pulling her close to wrap one arm around her shoulder and her, leaning her head against his shoulder as they sat side by side basking in the late afternoon sun in the park. Dinner was at a new hip restaurant in a nearby city - they did not want to risk running into their friends, they were not ready to tell them yet.
He made love to her again and again, night after night. And they talked. About nothing and everything. They talked for hours. She sighed contentedly in his arms. "This, right now, is the perfect moment I've always envisioned in my future." She told him. "This, and maybe a puppy." He laughed at that.
He told her that he had escaped to the army because of what happened to his parents but now he felt that he belonged in the army, and that lifestyle helped him to cope with his loss. He entertained her with his tales in the army, his colleagues and co-workers, even his superiors.
On the seventh night, he told her that he had to go back the next morning.
"When... when are you coming back?" She hated the dread in her voice.
"I don't know. Maybe six months, maybe eight months, maybe a year."
She felt her heart drop at his words. She suddenly realized they never did talk about their plan together for the future, if there was any at all. She swallowed before asking, "So... what now.. do you want to stay in the army forever..? Or.."
