"This is the city?!" Taehyung gawks at the foreign sight of the place he believes a heaven on earth. There are skyscrapers looming above their heads like giants, cars passing each other on the busy highways that go in between and above one another, and the bridges that go around another bridges like entangled snakes. Shops and flashy decorations all catch the province boy's eyes.    Jimin nods. "Yup. The city. Smaller than most I've been to, but still a great one."   Jungkook makes an inhuman noise in his throat. Jimin turns to him, wanting to see why, but when he sees Yoongi he totally forgets about Jungkook's reaction. Yoongi looks exactly like a puppy being out for a walk for the first time. He takes his time taking in his surrounding but he sure does it with exotic expressions. He slowly swirls around, eyeing everything with admiration and amazement, and when he sees a double-decker bus his lips only part wider until his smile almost looks like the Joker's.    "You like it here?" Jimin asks. Yoongi only nods excitingly as an answer. "Cool. Alright, now that we're here, it's only fair we have some fun. You in?"   "Oh, I'm in, I'm all in!" Taehyung grins and keeps nudging Jungkook to show his agreement too. Yoongi nods again, his head bopping adorably.    "Great. Let's go." Jimin doesn't wait for Jungkook's answer because whatever he says they're just going to have to go out and have some fun eventually.    First place Jimin wants to go to is a foot massage. And whole body massage. And then a sauna. He misses being so relaxed like this. Turning his head to the other side, he finds Yoongi already dozing off, and Taehyung as the masseur massaging his waist. In the corner of the room, Jungkook is sitting by himself. Jimin signals his masseur to pause and throws a bathrobe around himself quickly before he approaches the youngest male.    "Jungkook?"   "I don't want a massage, I already said that a hundred time."   "Why?" Jimin sits down next to Jungkook. "Is someth-" he lets himself trails off as he realizes the reason why. Jungkook has fresh wounds all over his back, of course he doesn't want anyone to see or touch it. "Right. I'm sorry."   Jungkook shakes his head. "You and your sorry,"   "Right. Not again…"   "I don't believe you, FYI." Jungkook looks at Jimin briefly. "I don't buy all this supernatural crap."   "Suit yourself. You're here with us anyway, that's all that matters."   "I'm only here for Yoongi."   Something pinches Jimin in the chest. Hard.    "I see."   "Taehyung said you're dying? You don't look like you are." That comes off different than what Jungkook is meant and he feels bad when he catches the hurt look in Jimin's eyes. He quickly adds, "I didn't mean I want you to die."   "I don't want to die either."   "Then aren't you doing something about it? Go get help?"   Jimin exhales sharply. Get what help? He tried looking, but finding what is lost without knowing where to actually look is like searching for ghost. Good thing about him and the necklace is that he can feel its pulses when he concentrates hard enough. That's the only ability he has besides reciting memorized spell to turn a dragon back into a boy. By following the pulses, they're here. Before they left the town, Yoongi has suggested searching around for a few more days. But Jimin knew his necklace wasn't there anymore. He couldn't explain when they asked, he just knew. It was like a muted sound, a some sort of vibration, the kind that occasionally dances in your eardrums when you least expect it. When he was sleeping on the vegetable truck, the pulses throbbed faintly and he was awake. When he nudged Yoongi wanting to tell him about it, the pulsing suddenly stopped. It happened again the exact same way when they stopped for lunch at a street diner. When they arrived at the city, the pulsing stopped completely and Jimin finally feels like himself again.    "No medical advancements can save me, Jungkook. I just need my necklace back." He says, though at this point he doubts he actually needs it or not.    "Any clue where to look?" Asks Jungkook, to which Jimin shakes his head. "Then what should we do? I mean, we need to find it fast right? Just how much time do you have left?"   That's right, time. Jimin goes to look at himself in the mirror and he looks more alive than ever. His eye bags are gone, colors have come back to his face, his skin clear and his hair… well, still black. He takes a deep breath, listens to his own heart, concentrates on his senses… everything seems back to normal.    He turns to Jungkook, letting his newfound confidence shows on his face. "Jungkook, I'm fine."   "For now, but-"   "No, Jungkook. I'm fine."   Jungkook sits up straighter. "You mean… you're not dying?"   "I'm not dying. Not anymore."   "Huh?" Taehyung stumbles out of his bed. "You serious?"   "Yes!"   "What does that mean?"   "It means," Jimin's eyes flicker with hope. "I don't need the necklace anymore."   -   "I fell asleep for a moment and you're cured?" Yoongi murmurs, eyeing Jimin with suspicion. They're now in a sauna room, which Jimin rents for just the four of them so Jungkook can relax without being insecure about his wounds.    Now, with just a towel around their waists, they all look like they're just a group of friends taking a road trip together. Sure, Jimin may be a year or two older than Yoongi, and a few more decades older than Jungkook and Taehyung, but that gap doesn't even show with Yoongi being an immortal being and Jimin no longer aging-   Jimin sits up abruptly. A thought just hits him. Yes, he doesn't need the necklace anymore because he's no longer dying, but he will also be starting to age again and it won't be a pretty sight.    "What is it?" Yoongi asks. The younger two are also on alarm. Jimin looks at each of them.    "I'm still dying."   "What?!"   "The necklace," Jimin searches for simple words to put it. "Its magic keeps me alive for more than a thousand years. Without it, those years I've cheated will catch up to me."   "You're saying…?"   "I will start aging again." For the first time, fear surges in his chest and he feels like crying. All those years, he always envied people who aged and lived out their lives as normal human did. He had thought of throwing away the necklace many times, but he couldn't because he still needed to find Yoongi and fulfill his task. But now, whatever it is, it gives him anxiety at the thought of him actually dying of an old age.    "And it will be fast and not pretty." Jimin says with dried lips.   Jungkook seems more convinced now than ever that Jimin isn't a normal boy. His face pale and his eyes wide like an owl's as he listens.    "You're saying you'll age ugly?" Taehyung questions and Yoongi knowingly nudges him. "Sorry, I'm not good with words but you know what I'm saying. I'm just a little panic!"   "I don't have much time, I guess. I'm… I'm going to cease to nothingness, not even a bone left."   "Like Mother Gothel in Rapunzel, I knew it. All those years she avoided…"   "Taehyung!" Yoongi hisses. Taehyung presses his mouth shut in guilt.    A warm hand grabs Jimin's shoulder and Jimin doesn't have to turn around to know it's Jungkook's. Jungkook doesn't say anything, he just presses firmly and Jimin gets his intention of trying to comfort him.
