THE FIRST CHAPTER IS UP! 

The ward doesn’t seem to slow down at anytime soon. People keep coming in and coming out from the ward. Some people are dozing off at the waiting room, some people are crying and sobbing their hearts out, some people are staring blankly at the white plain wall and some people are prefer to be alone at the time. This is the emergency ward. People keep coming in and coming out with scared, surprised, sad and mixed expressions across their faces and Jinyoung can only watch them with a heavy heart.

“Hey, good job today, Jinyoungie,” a familiar deep voice greeted Jinyoung.

Jinyoung flashes a smile as his eyes landed on the familiar figure in front of him, “Thank you, Mark,”

“Heading somewhere else or you’re just gonna head back home?” The guy called Mark asked, having no intention to end the conversation any soon.

“I think I’ll just head back home,” Jinyoung replied followed with a small whine, “My legs are damn sore from running and standing for almost a whole day,”

Mark laughed before gave a soft pat on Jinyoung’s shoulder as he bid goodbye and telling Jinyoung to take care on his way home. Jinyoung’s eyes followed Mark until he’s gone from his sight. Mark – one of the famous doctors in the emergency ward. His outside personality is shy and he also doesn’t talk much. He also can make you feel awkward when you’re around him. Even so, he could be the greatest motivator in the emergency ward whenever you feel down.

And that was the reason why Jinyoung becomes close to Mark.

With a sigh escaped from his lips, Jinyoung quickly changed his uniform to his casual outfit. He gave his ocean blue colored uniform a brush with his thumb before his lips crafted a small smile.

But before his mind could wander back to the old days, the sound of the door pushed from outside snapped Jinyoung into reality. The another familiar face appear in front of him and he could only flashed an awkward smile before tearing his gaze away from the familiar face and getting ready to head out from the locker room after he shoved his uniform in his bag.

“You’ve worked hard today,” the husky voice stopped him, “Good job,”

“Thank you, Dr. Im,” Jinyoung politely bowed before walked out from the locker room silently  after he found out that there was nothing more will comes out from the other’s mouth.

Dr. Im, or his full name, Im Jaebum, is one of the popular doctors in the emergency ward too but Jinyoung couldn’t grasp it why Jaebum became one of the most popular doctors in the ward. Honestly, Jinyoung found that Jaebum has a quite cold and dark aura around him and Jinyoung also found that Jaebum always held a cold stare whenever he’s observing people. Jaebum is quite straightforward too. He still remembers those days where he was still a fresh nurse who has just came out from the university after few months relaxing in his home. He has been receiving some, or probably many, he thought, Jaebum’s straightforwardness until he has become used to it.

Honestly, who doesn’t cry if someone scolded you with his straightforward words when it’s obviously you were still a fresh newcomer who has just been graduated from university for few months?  The sudden memories of Jaebum scolding
