Chapter III
My Salvation
It was one am when we decided to leave the party. We talked to Hyoyeon saying our goodbyes, just for formality of course.
I checked my phone and it’s already 2:30 AM, My goodness, I’m still here stuck in the traffic. I’m not drunk but I feel dizzy and I can’t wait to go to my bed and just lie down and have my body cover under the blanket.
As I arrived to my room, the first thing I did was to get a quick shower and clean myself. I am damn tired so right after showering; I drifted off to sleep as my head collided with the pillow.
---
I woke up feeling nauseous like there’s something in my throat but I can’t get it out. So I just let it, I walked to my bag searching for my phone but to my dismay I can’t find it. I grab my jeans that I used from yesterday’s party and check each pocket and still there’s no sign of my phone. What the? Where did I leave my phone? I never used it since we went to that party so it should be in my pocket or bag. Damn! I grab my car keys hoping to found my phone inside my car. I really have no idea where did I leave my phone.
Next, I went to Jessica’s and Sunny coffee shop hoping to see them both. As I opened the door, Sunny saw me and welcomed me with open arms.
“Hey Taengoo.” Sunny said.
“Hi Sunny, Oh where’s Jessica?” I asked.
“Restrooms, I can’t believe that you are here in front of me.” Sunny
“Sunny, who are you talking to?” Jessica asked while doing something.
“Guess who? I beamed.
“Omg, Taeyeon what are you doing here?” Jessica rushed to my side and gave me a hug.
“Aren’t you happy that I’m here? That I am really going out and leaving my house even just for a moment. I defended.
“I’m happy and shocked at the same time. Anyway, you want coffee or cakes? It’s free.” Jessica said.
“Sure. One Americano please, thanks. Uhm, guys have you seen my phone? Or did I left it on our table yesterday because I can’t seem to find it.” I said.
“As in your phone? Nope. Maybe but we didn’t seen it.” Jessica said while giving my Americano.
“Should I buy new one? I mean, I need one right?” I asked.
“Why don’t you try sending a message or calling your phone?” Sunny asked.
“Oh right. Can I borrow your phones for a minute? Gonna check it.” I said.
They gave their phones and I quickly type my message and press the send button. Waiting for replies feels like waiting for forever. I waited for 15 minutes and still got no message. So I decided to call my phone and I’m surprised that it rings because I thought that whoever got my phone might turn it off or throw my sim card.
---
I was awakened by the noise coming from the pocket of my bag. I went to and check it, it was my phone. Damn! I saw 3 messages, 2 came from Jessica and from Sunny. I didn’t remember that I asked for Sunny’s number though.
From: Jessica
Who are you? Give me back my phone.
From: Jessica
Hey! I need that phone. If you don’t give it back, I’ll go to the nearest police station.
From: Sunny
Give me back my phone. Where did you get it? If you don’t give it back, I swear I’ll tell it to the police station.
What the hell? Give me back my phone? The ! Are they nuts? Jessie and Sunny wants to play a game huh? So I replied to their messages. Wait, when did I change Jessica’s name in my contacts? Jessie was her name in my contacts. It’s weird.
To: Jessica
Hey Jessie, what are you up to? Stop playing games with me. >.<
To: Sunny
Hi Sunny. Where did you get my number? Sorry for asking but I really just can’t remember that I asked for your number. I’m not rude, really. :)
A few minutes later,
