Kiss
Hidden He waited with bated breath for some reaction from her. He imagined her turning her dark brown eyes to him with a glare. Or...just maybe, she would smile and tell him the same.
Seconds passed and it was a close to minute of deafening silence that Jong Kook finally lay back down and stared at the darkening sky. Part of him was grateful that Ji Hyo didn't hear anything to save him the awkwardness, but at the same time, he was disappointed. He sighed inwardly.
"That's all you're gonna say?" . She had heard it after all. Jong Kook gulped and turned to her. "Honestly, I was expecting more than that. A long cheesy story about how you came to love me would be nice," she continued, a hint of amusement in her voice.
"W-what?" Jong Kook stuttered. "Did you hear me?"
"Even though I was sleeping, I can still hear you know," the woman rolled her eyes and allowed a little laugh to escape . Jong Kook flushed and proceeded (tried) to explain himself.
"I didn't m-mean for that to happen. It just came out. Just forget about what i said. It would make things awkward between us and i don't want to ruin our friendship. I know you treat me only as a brother-" Jong Kook got cut off. He stared at the face only inches away from his. They were so close that he could literally feel Ji Hyo's warm breath on his skin and smell her cherry blossom perfume. Right then, he wanted so badly to just smash his lips onto hers and hold her close forever.
"You need to learn how to shut up," Ji Hyo whispered, her dark brown orbs staring intensely into his, porcelain skin glowing under the soft light of sunset. Jong Kook watched as she took a deep breath.
"I like you. Alot," Ji Hyo admitted. "To the point of love, even." Her cheeks turned a faded pink.
Okay, this was going better than Jong Kook had imagined.
"You do?"
"Yeah."
"I want to kiss you right now," he blurted.
"Okay."
"I'm going to kiss you now."
"Okay."
And when their lips met, he swore it was magical.
