Pie's POV, 2015.

I must have been out of my mind. I couldn't believe that I just gave a new friend whom I met a few days ago a nickname!! Why Kimmy? I didn't know the answer as well. It just came into mind, as if I was meant to call her that. I didn't feel awkward calling her Kimmy at all, as though I have been calling her that my whole life. There was something about this girl that affected my feelings so much. I stared at the ceiling, slowly letting my thoughts fly away, when my phone suddenly rang. 

*Kim*

I sat up immediately and answered the phone. "Hey how are you doing?" A familiar voice came through the speaker. "Good! You?" "Ya me too. Just wanted to ask if you're free now." "Yes I am!" "Really? Great! Erm... So I'll see you at the park near your house?" My heart was beating fast. She was asking me out!!! I quickly answered her before I lose my ability to talk. "Sure! When should I meet you?" "Now." I smiled. After ending the call I cheered and laughed. I ran to my closet and started taking out my favourite dresses. "Which one should I pick? The pink one? The striped one?" Choosing something to wear is like choosing whether to earn money and die or to live in poverty for a hundred years. I decided on the pink flowy dress. Without hesitation I ran to the park. It was seven in the evening and the sky was getting darker. I ran in my heels, not realising that people around me were judging. I just ran. I wanted to see her, to be with her.

"Pie!!"

I froze. It wasn't Kim's voice. I turned around and saw my mum standing behind me. "Where are you going?" She walked towards me. "Nothing, Jane is holding a party and she invited me." "Pie, why didn't you ask Van to pick you up? Going alone is too dangerous." Mum took out her phone and started calling Van. "Mum!! I don't need Van to pick me up!! I can go alone!!" Mum didn't listen to me. She told Van our location and he appeared in ten minutes. I couldn't run away. Mum insisted that she would wait for Van with me. 

"Pie!!! You look lovely today! Hi auntie!!" Van stared at me. I felt really uncomfortable everytime he looked at me. Mum has been trying to matchmake us but it would never work!
