Kimberley's POV, 2015

I stared at my phone, not willing to believe what mum just texted me. "KIMMY, she called me KIMMY!!!!" Excitement filled my heart. For the first time in my life I felt that I have achieved something meaningful. "My Kimmy is the most wonderful gift God has given to me." Mum would always tell everyone that. She would look at me with her beautiful but empty eyes and say that. She would hold my hands and tell me how precious and meaningful I am to her. I smiled. Even though I can't be mum's daughter anymore, I would be her friend, her sister, and I would love her more than I did when she was alive as my mum. I put my phone down. Dylan was fast asleep. As for you, I wouldn't ask for anything else if you stay by my side, Dylan, thanks for loving me. I looked at his sleeping face and gave him a kiss on his forehead, when two big arms wrapped around my body. I smiled and lied on his chest, listening to his heart beat while slowly falling asleep.

I wasn't able to go to Arts class since its timetable clashed with my Physics class. Aunt Jane was pretty disappointed about it and she wouldn't stop nagging me for giving up Arts. "Kimberley!!! I can see your passion in Arts!!! Why did you choose Physics? Plus, did you know that after you left a new replacement tutor came and she is HOT!! Come to one more class please.." Aunt Jane looked at me pleadingly with her big brown eyes and pouted like a baby. "Urgh fine!!! I'll go to just one more class. And if the new tutor doesn't allow me to attend the class I'll leave.." I love Aunt Jane, I do, but she can be a little annoying sometimes as she nags a lot. "Yay!!! I am sure she'll let you come to the class." Mum was sitting beside me. "Jane, stop forcing Kimmy to go to your class.." She sighed. Aunt Jane laughed. "Wow Pie since when does she have a nickname?" I was shocked as I didn't realise that mum just called me Kimmy again. I looked at her. Mum looked nervous at first but she managed to calm herself down. "Her name has three syllables and it's too long. Kimmy is short, and cute, hahaha do you mind me calling you that?" Mum smiled. I immediately shook my head. Oh yes please mum, of course I don't mind!! Aunt Jane looked at me and laughed. "Then we all shall call you Kimmy from now on!!"
