Intermission: BONUS FROM CHAPTER 9
Playing For Keeps
This is a double update, so make sure you guys read Chapter 12 (Revelations).
Yerin’s departure had led to a number of changes in the house.
Changes that not everyone enjoyed.
Hanbin found himself missing the way she clung onto his back and demanded a piggy-back ride every single time he lost a shot to her. Jiwon found himself missing the sound of his best friend’s laughter, Yunhyeong, Haewon and Jinhwan missed the little ray of sunshine in their lives. Junhoe missed a kindred soul and a good friend to talk to, with the exception of Jaemin, of course, since the two had gotten quite a bit closer, but Yerin was just something else. Someone so similar to him that he had gotten so used to having her around, he hadn’t even realized it until she was gone.
Jaemin missed her friend, her partner in crime, and someone who was aware of her every thought and emotion, to the point when she could catch a glass that she threw out of anger. Even Junhoe couldn’t do that, and that was saying a lot because she probably felt the closest to Junhoe in the entire house, and even her brother couldn’t beat their friendship.
Donghyuk, too, found himself pinning for the girl’s banging of doors, her quiet presence in the kitchen everyday, reading, or challenging her to games which he was definitely going to lose.
Perhaps he was the most affected, because he had been the one most attuned to her everyday routine.

Welcome to the intermissions page!
So here, I'll be making a few announcements. Since school is going to start officially next week (we've been having some orientation games for the past few weeks), I'm not going to be able to keep to the deadline of every Tuesday. So my tentative solution is that I'm going to try updating weekly, like before, and if I miss deadlines, the week after. Fret not, I'll definitely be posting up new chapters as soon as I can.
And to thank you guys for being such awesome supporters/readers, I'm going to attach some bonus content.
1) Deleted Scene
I don't really delete any scenes from my stories because I tend to just write and write when I feel like it. But I wrote this scene before I actually planned out the story and then I figured it didn't fit in anywhere, but I was too sad to delete it so here, you guys can treat it as a forgotten incident or something XD This scene originally took place in Chapter 9.
“When I first saw you, from across the room, I could tell you were curious…”
Junhoe, having just finished a shower, heard the muffled sounds of a guitar in the guest room.
Then it was the unmistakeable sound of a pencil scraping across paper, then the sound of another voice singing, a low, deep, husky chuckle at the end of the line, then the guitar chords exploding into a frenzy, and a playful slap, followed by hearty laughing.
“Okay, let’s do that again from the top, guys.”
“Haewon, you go.”
“Oh my God, we should sing this at Jinhwan and Haewon’s wedding.”
The new girl can sing? Junhoe’s ears pricked up. “Okay guys, Yerin, continue with that chord sequence. Haewon, your singing is brilliant.”
“Yours too.” Yerin chimed in, and there was more laughing.
~
He waited till the girls had all left, one by one, and he knocked on the guest room again.
