Chapter 40
Don't Say GoodbyeChapter 40
“No… don’t leave me… Come back!”
“Guigui! Are you okay?” I could feel someone shake me.
I opened my eyes to find mom looked at me worriedly.
I could hardly breath. I looked at mom as I tried to catch my breath.
My face was wet from tears. My body was sweating and my heart was pounding so loud.
Was that a dream? It felt real.
“Are you okay? You were crying in your sleep.” She stated.
I looked at her, showing that I was fine. I was still recovering myself from the shock. I could swear it felt so real.
“Did you have nightmare?” Mom asked.
I nodded my head. I finally realized that it was just a dream. BAD DREAM!
Aaron would never leave me. He loved me too much.
I heaved a sigh of relief.
Mom rubbed my head gently. “It’s okay. It was just a dream.”
I was glad it was just a dream.

I was walking toward the academy excitedly, hoping to see Aaron today.
I missed him so much.
And after the dream I had last night, I missed him even more.
I couldn’t wait to see him.
I quickly headed to the boxing room. To my disappointment, Aaron wasn’t here.
I began to worry. I had not seen him more than a week now. Where was he?
I walked out of the boxing room, pouting. Where could I find Aaron?
I didn’t even know where he lived. He never brought me to his house.
I saw a car stopping in front of the academy’s entrance as I walked out.
It drew my attention for some reason. The door was pushed open and a lady came out of the car.
She looked the same age as mom, but she was more stylish than mom.
She was wearing high heels and a black coat.
“Hi.” She greeted me as she flashed a smile.
“Um, hi.” I replied. I wonder who she was.
“Are you a student of this academy?” She finally asked.
“Yes.” I said.
She didn’t look like a happy person.
She travelled her eyes to the academy’s entrance, as if she was looking for something.
“What’s your name?” She then asked me.
“G-Guigui.”
She smiled faintly.
“Come with me, Guigui!” She grabbed my hand.
Who was she? Why did she tell me to come with her?
“I’m sorry, but I don’t even know who you are.” I refused politely.
“I’m Aaron’s aunt.” She finally said.
What?
Oh wait! I remembered Calvin ever told me that Aaron was living with his aunt.
“You are?” I smiled happily. I was sure I could find where Aaron was from her.
She nodded.
“Do you know where Aaron is? I’ve been looking for h-”
“Come with me. We’re going to meet him.” She said softly.
Without hesitating, I followed her into the car.
I just couldn’t think of anything anymore. She knew Aaron so I didn’t care where she was taking me as long as I got to see Aaron.
I couldn’t wait to meet Aaron.
“I heard a lot about you from Aaron.” She finally broke the silence.
I never thought that Aaron would talk about me to his aunt.
“Did he say something bad about me?” I chuckled.
She let out a small chuckle. “No. He actually talked nice things about you.”
I somehow felt happy that he opened up about me to his aunt.
