Sehun woke up from an awful night's sleep at 5:59am. One minute before his alarm was set to go off.

Instead of savouring that last minute as he usually would have, he got out of bed and dragged himself to the bathroom. The evidence of his sleep deprivation was clearer than the sky that day. Dark circles hung under his eyes and his usually passive face looked menacing.

He sighed and ran a hand over his face in exasperation; he'd spent the majority of the night worrying that Baekhyun was going to do something. It didn't help that it rained again all night for the second night in a row. You wouldn't have guessed it if you looked at the sky now. That helped him sleep too, not. Sunlight poured in the windows at around 4 and just added the cherry to the top of the situation.

Sehun frowned, recently it seemed as though he'd been in a constant state of annoyance. It left a bad taste in his mouth and an uncomfortable feeling in his stomach. Why did I agree to this trip?

A knock on the bathroom door pulled Sehun from his thoughts and he took the time to rub the sleep from his eyes before answering, "What?".

"How long are you going to be?", Baekhyun's muffled voice came from behind the door.

"Five more minutes".

Baekhyun replied with a sluggish, "Okay" and waited for Sehun to vacate the bathroom.

This time was different than the last, Baekhyun didn't rush past Sehun when the door finally opened, giving Sehun an opportunity to see Baekhyun's I've-just-woken-up look. He couldn't help but stare. Baekhyun's skin remained as clear as ever, no dark circles under his eyes. Just drowsy eyelids and slightly pouted lips that made him look younger than he was.

It was at that moment that Sehun realised he didn't know how old this other man was. He made a note to ask later, and if he was the older one he'd use the age-hierarchy to his advantage.

"If you're done staring, can I use the bathroom?", Baekhyun blinked slowly up at him and made a half-hearted gesture to the room behind Sehun.

Sehun sidestepped to the right and looked away, "I wasn't staring".

Baekhyun smirked and closed the door behind him, "Yes you were".

Sehun's snort of indignation made Baekhyun laugh.

"You definitely were staring at me, Oh Sehun".

"If I were staring at you, which I wasn't, it'd only be because of that birds nest of a hairdo you have this morning".

"Ah, unfortunately we can't all wake up looking like the princess you are, Mr. Perfect".

Sehun gave Baekhyun a sarcastic smile, not that he could see it.

Luhan knocked on the door fifteen minutes later. Sehun answered, much to Luhan's delight.

"What's up?", Sehun leaned against the doorframe and Luhan couldn't help but notice how cool he looked in that moment.

"I'm here to talk to Baekhyun", Luhan peered around Sehun and waved to the other man who was busy playing on his phone.

"You're always here to talk to Baekhyun", Sehun raised an eyebrow.

Luhan grinned, "Next time I'll come here to talk to you instead".

Baekhyun greeted Luhan before Sehun had a chance to respond, "Hey, what's up? Is there a spare room?".

Luhan shifted uncomfortably, "No, sorry. I just came here to inform you that partaking in the camp activities is mandatory if you're staying here".

Baekhyun nodded, "Ah, that makes sense. I called the car repair guys and they said they'd be out to fix it in a few days, so I guess I'll be here for a few more days".

"Your car needs repairs?", Sehun interrupted.

"Yeah".

"Ah", Sehun nodded.

"Anyway", Luhan smiled, "You'll be in Group 3, same as Sehun".

Baekhyun glanced at Sehun for a moment, "I see. Thank you for letting me know".

Luhan smiled again and waved a hand at both of them, "See you around".

"See ya", Baekhyun waved back while Sehun observed.

They stood there together at the door for a moment, "What kind of camp activities should I be expecting?", Baekhyun leaned against the other side of the doorframe.

Sehun shrugged then jerked his chin towards his approaching friends, "They'll probably know".

Jongin waved at Sehun then stopped in his tracks as he spotted Baekhyun. Is that ice guy?

Kyungsoo noticed Jongin's pause and whispered to him, "What's up?".

"Remember I told you about that guy who tripped at the ice rink, an-"

"And pulled down Sehun's trousers?", Kyungsoo grinned.

Jongin nodded, "That's the one".

"What abou-", Kyungsoo's eyes widened as he looked at the guy next to Sehun once more, "Oh! Is that him? What's he doing here?".

"I have no idea, let's go find out", Jongin finished their whispering and smiled once more, walking over to Sehun's cabin.

Sehun greeted them with a nod.

"Who's this?", Kyungsoo motioned towards Baekhyun and Jongin almost laughed, you've got so much tact Kyungsoo.

"I'm Byun Baekhyun, it's nice to meet you", he greeted himself with a grin.

"Do Kyungsoo, it's nice to meet you too".

Jongin nodded, "Kim Jongin. Likewise. Are you staying here for long?".

Baekhyun shrugged, "I'm not sure".

"His car needs repairs", Sehun added.

"Do you know what's on the agenda for today?", Baekhyun asked the couple.

Kyungsoo nodded, "To start off, volleyball then-".

"Volleyball?", Jongin raised an eyebrow.

Kyungsoo nodded, "Is there something wrong with volleyball?".

Jongin shrugged, "I just thought it was more of an indoors or a beach sport, not a camp activity".

Sehun found himself nodding in agreement.

"I guess it's something they do in camps too", Baekhyun looked thoughtful.

They all remained silent for a moment.

"I guess we should get going", Jongin spoke.

The others all agreed, wanting to escape the awkward atmosphere as soon as possible.

It should have occurred to them that volleyball would be made a lot more interesting due to the slippery mud left as a reminder of the rain, but it didn't.

They were split into groups of six for each team. There were just enough players for the team divisions to be equal. Sehun, Baekhyun, Jongin, Kyungsoo and two women were one team, and the remaining members of cabins 10-15 were on the other.

The game started off slowly and as a result of this the points were slow to accumulate. Ten minutes in, Sehun's team, Team A, were two points behind Team B. Something clicked in them then, the desire to win. The motivation of a handful of players raised the overall motivation and soon enough the game became more active.

Just as Sehun began to notice that the mud beneath his feet had softened, the ball was spiked to his right. Abandoning all thoughts of mud, he ran for the ball at an adrenalin fuelled speed. Baekhyun who was standing to his right, at an equal distance away from the ball, also ran left towards it. His eyes were too focused on the ball to notice the approaching figure. The other team members could only watch in surprise as Sehun and Baekhyun collided at a force enough to make them lose their balance.

Shock registered in Sehun's face as the mud beneath his feet became too slippery to regain his balance and in what seemed like slow motion for them, they fell down in the mud. Neither of them hit the ball and the opposing team scored a point.

The situation was too amusing for Jongin or Kyungsoo to immediately offer help. Jongin opened his mouth to speak but Kyungsoo cut him off, "If you're about to make a lame joke about how they're falling for each other quickly, don't".

Jongin grinned and kept his eyes on the fallen team members, "I wouldn't dream of it. Actually, I was going to say it's a relief that Sehun's pants stayed on this time".

Kyungsoo laughed and Jongin joined in.

Meanwhile, Sehun was acutely aware of Baekhyun's face directly beneath his. Eyes wide with shock and cheeks flushed with surprise. Sehun felt his stomach lurch.

Baekhyun pushed an unmoving Sehun off of him and sat up, rubbing his forehead and avoiding Sehun's eyes.

"Ah! Why is your face so hard?".

"I bet that's not the only thing that's hard right now", Jongin whispered to Kyungsoo and shortly after roared with laughter.

Kyungsoo laughed loudly in surprise, "Stop being so dirty right now Jongin".

"I think they're dirtier than I am", Jongin pointed to Sehun and Baekhyun's mud covered attire.

"I didn't think that was possible, but you're right", Kyungsoo's laugher died down to giggles.

The two female members of Team A walked over to help the other two up. Sehun cast Jongin an un-amused glance for his lack of concern.

"Are you alright?", Baekhyun asked the silent Sehun after nobody else enquired about their wellbeing.

"Stop crashing into me", Sehun's mouth set in a level line and he walked to the back row of the team.

"If was your fault, idiot", Baekhyun muttered and tried once again to focus on the game.
