Narrator's POV
"Yumi: konnichiwa, annyeong, ni hao, what's up guys. Welcome to the chat group: Operation Vivi&Jihoon. I am the moderator, Kawaii Yumi, you all know me, you all love me. Long story short, we all can see that Vivi and Jihoon will get together one way or another in the future. Our job is to make that process go faster, who's with me?" Jun recited, laughing. They landed and first arrived in the place where they would stay for 3 days. Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Yumi were gathered in one of the rooms, discussing about the chat group in person, sorta defeats the purpose of a chat though doesn't it?
"I agree though, they're literally like such a power couple" Hoshi said "do you know if Viv actually likes Jihoon?"
"I've been teasing her about him since forever, but she says she only likes him as a friend" Yumi crossed her arms "but that's a lie! I can tell! She likes him, she just doesn't know it yet!"
"oh my God" Wonwoo facepalmed
"bwoh, yah I'm doing both of our groups a favor here" she scowled putting a hand on her hip
"what if they break up?" Jun asked
"assuming they get together" Hoshi chimed
"let's make sure them breaking up doesn't happen" Yumi smiled "look guys, I'm just so sure about them"
"I can see why" Jun nodded "Jihoon doesn't really make friends with girls, but he and Viv just like clicked when they first met. It took Jihoon forever to be friends with all of Epitome"
"and he's still a bit uncomfortable alone" Hoshi agreed
"you see" Yumi said
"should we tell the rest of them?" Wonwoo asked
"not yet" Yumi said "it'll be just a hassle to let everyone in on this. Let's just keep it as a '96 line thing, you know?"
"alright cool" Jun said "what are we supposed to do first?"
"well what are we planning on doing on this outing thing?" she asked
"molla, Seungcheol hyung said we were gonna eat, go swimming, bonfires, just gonna be a fun time" Hoshi said
"pretty excited actually" Wonwoo said
"we're supposed to go swimming right now" Jun said checking his phone "Hansol just texted me"
"perfect, see you guys in a few then" Yumi said "squad out"
"squad out" Hoshi chuckled as they watched the girl exit

"wahhh! beach!" The8 cheered, running out from the car first with Mingyu at his tail
"yah!" Sori yelled as DK took her phone "Lee Seokmin! I swear-"
"ooh who are you texting, noona?" DK grinned scrolling through her messages "oh my God"
"who is it?" Seunggwan asked cheekily
"it's M-ow!" the boy said dropping the phone on the sand, rubbing his head which was just plummeted by a flip flop
"take my phone again Seokmin-ah and your head's not the only thing that'll get hit" Sori glared taking her phone. He shrunk and immediately apologized
"noona mianhe, I didn't mean to" he said "I-I was just playing-"
"hyung's screwed" Dino commented, leaning against Minji. She nodded in agreement
"just don't do it again...and don't tell anyone, especially not Vivi, I'll tell her myself" Sori said quietly, softening at his guilty face "did I hurt your head Seokmin-ah? noona's sorry"
"jamkamman" he said "are you and..."
She nodded, rubbing the side of his head where she hit him "don't tell anyone oh?"
"I'm gonna get so tan" Lihua said "I'm already so tan"
"you're so white, are you kidding?" Ayana scoffed putting on some screen "Vivi unnie!"
"what?" the girl said looking up from her camera. She was too busy taking pictures of the beach to pay attention to everyone around her
"you promised to show us some flips that Mark oppa taught you" Ayana said running up to her "I really wanna see"
"it's pretty basic though, oppa's gonna teach me more complicated ones soon" Vi said sheepishly, letting go of her camera, letting it hang around her neck.
"unnie jebal" Ayana pouted. Giving in, Vi took off her camera, giving it to Ayana to hold "I'll take some pictures of you"
Cracking her joints, Vi took a breath, a bit nervous. XiaoMei and Yumi looked at the scene "yah! don't hurt yourself Vivi!"
Yumi smirked "it's okay! if you do, Jihoon will save you!"
"what?" Woozi turned at the mention of his name
"nothing!" Yumi grinned
"seriously you Kawaii Yumi" Vi scoffed before jumping high in the air and doing a flip
"wah!" Ayana said amazed "unnie I got some good pictures!"
"woah, noona do something else" Vernon said his mouth agape. She was blank for a bit before taking a running start and doing a series of flips
"wow noona have you ever done cheerleading before?" Mingyu asked and she nodded, fixing her hair
"wait noona, do one more" Seunggwan pleaded
"uh...molla" Vi said "ah, jamkamman. Ana-ya, you better get a good capture of this next one"
"is your camera waterproof, unnie?" Ayana asked as she started walking to the shore
"mhm" she nodded "ready?"
"ready" Ayana said
"are the rest of you ready?" Vi chuckled looking at the 18 pairs of eyes watching her
"don't die" XiaoMei reminded "we need you to do this one English rap part for this song I'm-"
"unnie" Minji chuckled hitting her "be careful Vivi unnie"
"don't worry, Jihoon will catch you if you fall" Wonwoo said
"I will?" Woozi said and Vi rolled her eyes
"okay, I'm going" Vi said kicking the water up in a 360 flip
panicking a bit as she almost lost her balance. The 19 held their breaths as she steadied herself
"Jesus you almost gave me a heart attack!" Joshua shouted when she recovered.
"you're really good noona" DK clapped
"c'mon, let's get this party started" The8 said playing some music on the speakers.
"freestyle competition let's go" S.Coups shouted pretending to hold up a sign "round 1 round 1"
"in our bathing suits, really oppa?" Lihua said as she went to the middle "Ana, c'mon you know this one too"
Ayana smirked joining her in the middle for some dancing
"wow! y y!" Dino shouted clapping earning a few smacks from his hyungs "waeyo?!"
"come on out come on out!" S.Coups said as two of s sassed their ways in
the remaining burst into laughter at their stupidity
"show them how it's done Vivi" XiaoMei said pushing the girl to the front. She started dancing so comfortably that you could barely notice that she was just wearing a bikini
"yeah unnie!" Minji shouted cheering her on
Jun pushed Woozi out "show her who's boss"
Vi smirked, remembering how good Woozi was in dancing before countering him. She loved battles. It eventually turned into a routine instead of a freestyle battle as they started to dance in sync
Junghan then stopped them, putting his hands up "jogiyo, this is not couple dance time"
The two chuckled in embarrassment, going back to stand by their respective groups. Out of nowhere, Mingyu picked up Vernon, running to the water
"yah! yah! hyung hajima!" Vernon screamed trying to get out of his grasp
"water fight!" Mingyu yelled dropping Vernon in the ocean. The boy resurfaced, a murderous look in his eyes "oh "
"yolo!" Joshua shouted picking up Lihua and doing the same. She screamed as the cold water made contact with her skin
"oppa!" she shouted
"jugulae?!" the two '98 liners glared at their oppressors. In a flash, all 20 of them were in the water, some forced, some willingly.
"it's so ing cold!" XiaoMei cursed in Chinese, shivering as she surfaced
"jiejie, that's some vulgar language" The8 responded
"shut up, you swear like a truck driver gege" Lihua counter-attacked
"I have no idea what they're saying" Ayana sang peacefully floating with DK, Seunggwan, and Sori.
"this is actually very relaxing" S.Coups said swimming to the mellow group. The '96 line were having fun by themselves, splashing water, and making the most commotion between all of them.
"Yumi-ah, my eyeliner" Vi frowned as the girl submerged her
"you didn't wear waterproof?" Yumi asked and she shook her head "aigoo, it's smudged already"
"just take it off, you look better without makeup anyway" Woozi commented nonchalantly as he tackled Wonwoo
"yah, makeup is my confidence" Vi retorted
"it shouldn't be if you're already born pretty" he shrugged, yelling as Hoshi picked him up "yah! Soonyoung-ah! that's not fair!"
Yumi squealed and started hitting Vi's arm "ow ow ow!"
"did you hear that?" she whispered "he called you pretty!"
"you're such a girl" Vi laughed "so what?"
"you guys are meant to be" Yumi sighed dreamily, hugging her best friend. Vi scrunched her face in disgust, pushing her off
"Yumi-ah, your so delusional" Vi said and grabbed her shoulders, shaking them "we're just friends. chingus. pengyou. tomodachi"
Yumi frowned, shrugging off her best friend's arms "why don't you like him?"
"Yumi-ah, now is not the time for this" Vi said "we'll talk later, before bed, okay?"
"is everything okay?" Hoshi asked the two girls who were taking a time out away from everyone else
Vi showed him a smle, splashing water in his face "everything's perfect Soonyoung-ah"

Seventeen and Epitome spent a few more hours at the beach, leaving when a whole of them became hungry. They had dinner at the rent house, the girls ocoking dinner for the first day and breakfast for the last. The boys would do all meals tomorrow.
"this is definitely one of the better meals we'll have" XiaoMei said
"yah, what's that supposed to mean?" Jun asked
"we practically have a chef on our team" Lihua said poking Vi's side.
The girl jumped in surprise, "yah, you know I'm ticklish!"
"you are?" S.Coups asked and Vi nodded. Immediately, he and The8 started tickling her, the girl letting out something between and laugh and scream
"she's really ticklish behind her knee" Woozi told them as he was eating with the rest of the group. Vi sent him a glare and he only responded with an angelic smile. The8 grinned
"Minghao-ah, please don't" Vi pleaded him. He decided to have pity on her, going to the table to eat. That only left S.Coups "Seungcheol oppa, remember that time I walked in on you in hyour dorm-"
"wow, this food's really good Viv-ya, you should go eat, I'll even feed you!" S.Coups said nervously leading her to an empty chair
"bwoyah" Seunggwan said confused
"that was low" S.Coups whispered to Vi
"saranghae oppa" Vi smiled. After they were done eating, it was time to sleep. As promised, Vi and Yumi gathered together to talk in the room they were sharing with the rest of Epitome.
