Narrator's POV

A few weeks passed, Vi caught up on training and slowly started to communicate more with Epitome. She still hasn't fully forgiven Yumi or Woozi, but she can at least talk to them now. Vi still lived at her apartment, but often visited her old dorm. Today was the company cruise and Epitome was currently waiting at the dock. Vi was casually listening to some of her music, the Beats canceling out all sound around her. Someone tapped her shoulder, waking Vi up from her daydream

"hey" Woozi said

She waved "hi"

"how are you doing Viv?" he asked

"I'm okay" she said simply, pausing her song

"I'm curious" he started off "did you see my email?"

"I haven't opened it yet" she said "I've been a bit busy"

"you really should" Woozi said. He was about to say something else when the captain started speaking. They all started boarding the ferry which would take them to the actual cruise. Vi stood last in line, Woozi in front of her. When she was about to enter, one of the workers stopped her

"what's going on?" The CEO asked noticing the situation

"we have reached the capacity of passengers, sir" the worker said "this lady would have to wait for the next ferry"

"excuse me?" Vi asked

"depyeonim, Viv can't ride alone-"

"I'll stay with her" Woozi volunteered, standing up from his seat. The crew allowed him to go through, standing with Vi who was still trying to process what happened

"take care of her" Sori warned Woozi and he nodded waving goodbye as the ferry began to leave the dock.

"you didn't have to do that" Vi said noticing the look of anger that Aeji sent her

"do you really think I'd let you ride a ship alone?" he asked taking something out of his backpack "did you drink medicine yet?"

"ani" she shook her head "I didn't think I would need it Jihoon-ah"

"it's better to be safe than sorry" Woozi said giving her a pill and offering her his water bottle. She reluctantly took it, confused with how nice he was being. He noticed her facial expression "wae?"

"you're being weird" Vi said "you're not this nice to me"

"I'm just worrying about my best friend" Woozi said leading her inside the next ferry, which just arrived. Just as Woozi predicted, she was a complete mess, Vi held her head, she felt super woozy (😏). "the medicine isn't helping?"

"ani" she shook her head, closing her eyes in hopes that it would lessen the spinning

"come here" he said letting her lean her head against his shoulder" it'll help with the headache"

She was too busy dealing with her sea-sickness to notice how fast her heart was beating at his action. Vi stared at him, feeling weak "Jihoon-ah"

"hm?" he asked, looking down at her. Woozi fixed her hair from the blowing wind, gently it

"I think I'm gonna puke" she frowned. With a start, he reached into his backpack and took out a barf bag, opening it up for her just as she started throwing up. He held her hair up and rubbed her back as she threw up in the bag.

"it's okay" Woozi said comfortingly as she finished up her puking, taking the barf bag and putting it in another plastic bag for trash. He handed her some water and she drank it gratefully, getting rid of the acidic taste in .

"thank you" she said quietly moving closer to rest her head against his shoulder again

"try and sleep, it's still a long ride" Woozi said putting his spare cardigan around her shoulder. She nodded and closed her eyes, replacing the spinning headache with sleep. Woozi released a breath he didn't even know he was holding. He always remembered that she had a really bad case of sea-sickness. Unknowingly, he put his arm around her, feeling comfortable in that position. Woozi stared at her sleeping figure, feeling guilty again about what he did "I'm sorry Viv"

"hey, wake up" Woozi said lightly shaking Vi. She yawned, blinking her eyes as she lifted her head from Woozi's shoulder "we're here"

She stood up, shaking a bit. Cautiously, Woozi grabbed her arm and led her off the ferry. They met up with the rest of their company, who were standing at the entrance of the cruise

"is she okay?" Sori asked worriedly

"she's alive" Woozi said gently patting Vi's back who rested her head on Sori's shoulder "I knew you had bad sea-sickness but wow this was terrible"

"thanks" she managed to say "please tell me we're done with ships"

"sadly, no" Sori said "gwenchana, it won't move as much as a ferry. You'll barely feel it"

"I wanna go home" Vi complained

"it's okay Vivi" XiaoMei said

"I didn't know your sea sickness was this much of a problem, Vivian" the CEO said walking up to her

"depyeonim, we can always leave her if it's a hazard to her health" Aeji brought up

"I'll be fine, thanks for your concern" Vi responded

"are you sure you'll be okay?" Ren asked and she nodded, thanking him

"if you say so" he nodded patting her on the back. PLEDIS entered the cruise, Vi clinging to XiaoMei who led her inside. It was from inside when the group dispersed, doing whatever they pleased. The Seventeen members ranged from sleeping to playing in the pool to eating and to going to the arcade. The Epitome girls, on the other hand, went to the jacuzzi, taking turns checking up on Vi who was sleeping in the room she shared with Sori and Minji.

"how are you feeling, Vivi?" Yumi said noticing that she was waking up

"better than before" she yawned sitting up

"are you hungry?" Yumi asked "I can get you something from the food lounge"

"I'm not hungry" Vi shook her head

"cmon, you need to eat" Yumi said

"I'm okay, really" she said

"alright, well-"

"how is she?" Hoshi knocked, opening the door

"if you're going to come in anyway, what's the point of knocking?" Vi asked him smartly. Hoshi beamed ruffling her hair

"the queen's back" he said with a laugh, slinging his arm over Yumi's shoulder

"it's good to know that you guys are working out" Vi smiled kindly. Yumi's heart twisted in guilt, as she broke away from Hoshi's hold and hugged Vi, catching her by surprise

"Vivi I'm so sorry, please forgive me please" Yumi pleaded "I miss you, I made a terrible mistake, I'm sorry"

"Yumi-"

"no, everything was my fault. I should have never said those things. I'm incomplete without my best friend, please Vivi" she said hugging her tighter

"if you hug me any tighter, I'm gonna choke" Vi said patting her arm "Yumi-ah, why don't we just forget what happened?"

"does that mean Soonyoung and I have to break up?" Yumi asked

"say what now?" Hoshi asked

"what, no. I just want to forget what happened between us" Vi said "in all honesty, I miss my best friend too"

"let's get this straight though, jagi" Hoshi said "Jihoon always tops you on Viv's best friend list"

" you too Kwon Soonyoung" Yumi glared at him

"I'm sorry jagiya" Hoshi pouted "it's alright because you'll always be my #1"

Yumi couldn't help but smile sneaking a quick peck on his cheek.

"and you guys are gross now" Vi chuckled

"in our defense, you and Jihoon will probably be worse" Hoshi said and she looked at him blankly "just because Vihoon was on hiatus doesn't mean that it's dead"

"you guys are probably going to tease me again, aren't you?" she raised her eyebrows

"More than ever" Yumi smirked "How's the headache?"

"almost gone" Vi said "but I'm gonna rest for a bit more, just to make sure"

"we'll be on the sky deck" Hoshi said

"we will?" Yumi asked as he began to drag her out "Lihua's taking the next shift"

"there's no need. I'm okay" Vi reassured as they reached the door "have fun, don't get her pregnant"

Not realizing that she slept for a long time, Vi woke up to find that it was the next day, breakfast time.

"you're finally awake, unnie" Minji smiled

"thank God, I was beginning to think you died or something" Sori said tying her hair up in a pony "you must be starving, let's go and eat"

At the mention of food, Vi's stomach grumbled. Maybe she was a bit hungry. Vi got up and got ready, then the three of them made way to the lounge "good morning, uri members"

"morning unnie" Ayana grinned greeting her with a hug

"hungry now?" Yumi smirked and Vi jokingly hit her arm

"it's a good thing you're awake, unnie" Lihua said "Jihoon oppa already made a plate for you"

"he what?" Vi asked

"he said he was gonna bring it to your room in case you were still sleeping" XiaoMei said "he did that last night too for dinner"

"yeah but we ate it" Sori said

"oh thanks unnie" Vi chuckled "I'm gonna go look for him"

"Oppa should be on the way to our room" Minji said and Vi nodded, retracing her steps to the room. Her heart pounded seeing the pastel-color-haired boy balancing two plates full of food

She slowly neared him as he wasn't walking that fast anyway "Jihoon-ah"

He turned around and smiled at her "good morning Viv. I didn't know you were up, breakfast?"

She nodded, taking one of the plates, noticing that it was filled with an American-like breakfast. She looked at him genuinely "komawo Jihoon-ah"

"hey it's no problem, just watching out for you" he said "so, wanna eat?"

"definitely" Vi smiled and he led her up to the sky deck, where they ate their breakfast in casual peace. She missed this and she was sorta glad that her friendship with Woozi was being restored "Jihoon-ah"

"what's up?" He asked wiping his mouth with a tissue

"I'm sorry...for you know, that day." she said quietly "I lashed out and I really shouldn't have"

Woozi frowned "it's my fault Viv-ya. I never should have shut you out, especially with what Aeji was threatening you with. Why didn't you tell me?"

"I already went through this with Seungcheol oppa" Vi rolled her eyes "I never told anybody, the only ones who knew until I told Soonyoung were my parents and Mark oppa"

"Mark hyungnim" Woozi said "did you check your email?"

"not yet-what is it with my email?" Vi asked curiously

"I sent you something and it'd be really nice if you opened it" he said

"alright alright fine, I'll open it" she said

"but before you do, take your medicine" he said taking a tablet out of his pocket

"you carry around my medicie?" she asked taking it

"just in case you need it, you know" Woozi shrugged "you tend to forget things"

"komawo" she thanked him drinking water

"now check your email" Woozi said pulling her from her chair and leading her back to her room. She stared in shock as Woozi pushed her into the room, closing the door behind her. What was the big deal with some email anyway? Who even sends emails anymore? She sat in her bed, leaning against the wall as she opened her laptop, pulling up her unused email to see a new one from Woozi

"I'm sorry, best friend" Vi read curiously clicking on the file. It was a collection of videos that the two of them made together, whether it be stupid random ones, or song and dance covers. She smiled looking at the ones they made when they were 13 and how they progressed to ones they took just months before. At the end was another sincere apology and a picture of them both. You have no idea how touched she was.

As drama cliche as it seemed, Vi jumped out of bed and ran out of the room, determined to find Woozi. He was at the sky deck, looking over the railing of the cruise ship, with some of s (Mingyu, Wonwoo, and Junghan) when Vi found him. Vi beamed, taking Woozi by surprise as she pounced on his back, her arms almost choking him.

"well hey there Viv" Wonwoo greeted her. She looked up and waved at him before getting off of Woozi. She kept repeating 'thank you' as she hugged him tightly

"I'm so confused" Junghan muttered

"let's um...give them some space" Mingyu said dragging his two hyungs away

"I'm guessing you liked the video" Woozi said hugging her back

"we did a lot of crazy before didn't we?" Vi said pulling away from the hug, putting a hand on her hip

"a lot" he nodded leaning against the railing. She chuckled standing next to him "Seventeen's going to film a reality show pretty soon, Seventeen Project"

"chincha? that's great" she smiled "looks like you guys are really going to debut"

"I already finished producing the album, Soonyoung's almost done with choreo, it's actually happening" Woozi said in relief

"that means you can relax for a bit" Vi said "I know I'm the practice-holic, but most of the time you work twice as hard as I do"

He shook his head, playing with the ring on his pinky "ah aniya"

"can I see your ring?" she asked. Woozi nodded handing it to her, "chincha yeppeo"

"it's like my child" Woozi agreed and she laughed

"I wish Epitome would have something like this" she said "it's so..meaningful you know?"

"mm" he nodded. Vi put it back in his palm. Before he could put it on, someone pushed into the two of them, the ring flying out of his palm and into the sea. Woozi looked horrified and he angrily turned to the person who pushed them. "yah!"

Vi stared in shock as the ring fell to the water below them. She didn't know what she was doing, but before she knew it, she was jumping off the side of the ship, plummeting 15 meters into the sea. She held her breath and submerged herself, desperately looking for Woozi's ring. She could vaguely hear the screams and shouts of the people up above, but that didn't matter to her right now. It almost felt impossible, but one reflection of sunlight hit the very base of the ring, shining into Vi's water-irritated eyes. Hurriedly, she swam deeper, reaching her hand out and the ring before thrashing herself up to the surface, coughing from lack of oxygen. They lowered a rescue boat and fished her out of the water, bringing the girl up to safety. Ayana was the one who went to her first

"unnie! are you okay?!" she said wiping her face with a towel. It wasn't long until all the Epitome and Seventeen members pushed towards the front.

"what the hell was that?" Woozi stared at her. Vi had a coughing fit, spitting out salt water that she swallowed. She opened her closed fist, revealing the ring that fell from his hand. Vi reached out and placed it in his hand "y-you found it"

"what exactly happened?" S.Coups demanded

"nevermind that for now, Vivi needs to change out of her wet clothes before she gets sick" Sori said helping the girl stand up, wrapping her in several towels

"what is going on here?" the CEO said unamused

"Jihoon and I were talking" Vi stuttered finding it hard to speak

"someone pushed us and my ring fell. Next thing that happened was that Viv jumped into the water" Woozi finished for her

"now why would you do such a thing Vivian, you could have died" the CEO scolded

"but depyeonim...it's Jihoon's ring. This piece of jewelry is probably the most important thing in his life" Vi said "it's what makes him a part of Seventeen. I did it for a friend"

"don't do it again" he sighed "Sori take care of your member"

"deh" she nodded leading Vi to their room as the CEO ushered everyone to continue their own business.

So I had this done since earlier, but I decided to take a little "nap" and that ended to be 7 hours so here it is :)
